View Full Version : Molly; An American Girl On The HomeFront
<3PrettyInPink<3 11-27-2006, 02:14 AM For those of you who have not seen it, I find this as the most touching American Girl Movie, I have ever seen. Even though the acting isn't the best, and I preferred the acting in the first one, I love this movie, personally because i can relate to it, greatly.
I found myself crying, three times already. And, running to go hug my mother.
Annaso 11-27-2006, 01:12 PM It WAS sad. However, the script seemed kind of cheesy, and I think the sister, mother, Molly, and the father did a fairly well job. Oh, and the girl who played Emily was very good, also. The first movie was also very good, as well as the second one. I'm an American Girl FREAK!
onchinonch 11-27-2006, 01:15 PM it was sad..... i didn't cry but it was sad

Yeah, there was that, too...lol

I agree. I just had trouble understanding Molly and the other friends who were hardly talked about in the story.. They weren't such good actresses. The teacher was very pretty, though.
jdrocks 11-28-2006, 02:39 AM Yes it was a beautiful film.
Although where Emily confesses to Molly about her parent's death after her bad dream...my mom was crying and ran over to hug me lol. :D
Eeyorevf 11-28-2006, 02:44 AM I didn't get to watch the Molly movie yet but I recorded it,Molly is my favorite american girl I got the doll for my birthday a couple of years ago.
Zebraa 11-28-2006, 02:53 AM The commercial is pretty cheesy. "I would very much like to be Ms. Victory" - Her face is so funny when she says that!
Brentino 11-28-2006, 02:57 AM I must say, that had to be one of the best movies I have ever seen. Even with the lack of acting and the not-meant-to-be-funny parts-but-were-funny-anyways parts, it was a pretty good movie. It didn't make make me cry but, it was still pretty good. I'd give it a 8/10 on the Brentino scale.

PS: And yes, I am a boy and yes, I did plan to watch this movie.
Chaelle 11-28-2006, 03:09 AM This is on Disney?

<3PrettyInPink<3 11-28-2006, 04:10 AM It was. I don't know if they'll play it again. But, once again, I loved the movie aside from some of the actors in it;
But, it is my least favorite American Girl Movie. Considering that there are 3, that's a good rating from me. X D
And, I loved the Samantha Movie, which was the first movie in the American Girl Series. It was the best out of all three. I liked them better when they were on WB. They were much, much longer.
BasketballFarrah 11-28-2006, 04:18 AM I didn't have time to watch it. Maybe next time I will. :D
Ilovevmk998 11-28-2006, 04:19 AM That movie was so sad!!! But It was good..........
ClaireGal 11-28-2006, 08:27 PM It was very sad! I was disappointed in this movie though! I have an American Girl doll and ever since I was 7 have been completely in love with the dolls even though I'm too old for them now. I have Molly and her books were my favorite so I was very disappointed that the movie was nothing like the books. The acting wasn't that good either. I liked it but at the same time I was urged. lol
I just can't wait for the Kit movie to come out next year in theaters! It's supposed to be longer and it will be on the big screen so hopefully it will be better!
