I'm using tracks as part of the room, but you can't ride on them..they serve to complete a decorative structure that i made. do you think that the judges would care?

View Full Version : I need your all's opinion on this thing for my Space Mountain ride disnyfreek 11-22-2006, 08:57 PM I'm using tracks as part of the room, but you can't ride on them..they serve to complete a decorative structure that i made. do you think that the judges would care? JustOh 11-22-2006, 09:05 PM wow that is a tough 1. I would use space tracks instead unless they need to be specified. Good luck JasonDude 11-22-2006, 09:33 PM I actually thing using them as decor is okay, as long as they're OBVIOUS decor...like using river pieces as a lake or something, putting them everywhere, and having no River Teleporters in the room. disnyfreek 11-22-2006, 10:02 PM what i was actually going to do *patent-please nobody take this* i'm making a mission space based ride..and i'm making a model of the spinning ride simulator. I have a working track that travels in between sets of space mountain ride chairs and the structure that i'm talking about (shows the spinning of the ride). It's supposed to appear as if the chairs are connected to the inactive track..it has four uphill pieces, each supported by two small poles, and they are all connected a straight track piece. So basically the uphill tracks are close to the active track, but it's supposed to look as if they are connected to the chair. Does this still sound ok? PrincessAnnO 11-22-2006, 10:08 PM If you have a working space mountain track that travels between, I think you are good to go. No one said how long it has to be and the decoration you do is the biggest part of the winning. Just make sure your track is long enough so that everyone has a chance to look at your room and take it all in! If it were me, I'd just be sure I had working track to ride on...sounds like a great idea...can't wait to ride it! podracergonemad 11-22-2006, 10:17 PM I think that for your ride because you cant use any other types of tracks other than the Space Mountain ride tracks,if you used the Everest or River or Waterslide type tracks as decoration then they probably wouldnt mind. When the competition is over, I'll be able to find all those extras buried in this mess! Neoteny 11-25-2006, 05:26 PM Whether intentional or not, I have tracks to nowhere in my ride.
