Its kinda cool at first, but its starting to get annoying. But soon I'll get used to it. I hope....

Those are optional. He has moved the toolbars around and has downloaded Google Toolbar, that might be why. :D
WafflePrincess 11-21-2006, 01:45 AM My Dad downloaded it for me
I didn't want him to download it... I like the other one better :|
PowerGirl 11-21-2006, 01:46 AM I just got it too, it's cool, more high tech and I love it. I just got it yesterday. Now I just need to find out why my computer keeps going slow since June...

You can roll back if you want. Just go to the Control Panel --> Add and Remove Programs --> Make sure that the Show Updates box is checked --> Scroll down until you find Internet Explorer 7.
Schmoofy 11-21-2006, 01:55 AM It's much more like firefox now
But it still lags. FF is much more faster, but my mother doesn't trust it and since this is her computer, we have to use IE. But you're right, it's getting close to FF.
PaperClip 11-21-2006, 02:01 AM IE now has more security than FF does. That is the main thing in IE7.
GatorGreen 11-21-2006, 02:07 AM I prefer Firefox because the display is simple. There aren't several bars full of annoying buttons, but you can do just as much with it. Also, Firefox 2 has been released, which can compete with the new IE.
The new IE does look better, but it seems as if they keep adding more and more buttons on the top.
Thark 11-21-2006, 04:34 AM They are all worried about improving security and manageablility. Wish they would start worrying about performance and security.
gabyta 11-29-2006, 10:40 PM omg!!! i just installed the IE7 and it's sooooooo secure that I can't open the vmk login pop up! I tried almost everything! pls help!!!!!
AlexKeepsItReal 11-30-2006, 02:42 AM Your mom doesn't trust Fire Fox. Fire Fox owns IE7. I updated the minute I found out it was out, which was basically the day it released. It is okay, but Fire Fox has everything IE7 has and then some. I like how IE7 makes everything clearer and I can zoom, but that's it. When Fire Fox 2 releases I bet it will have that also.
Maribeth 12-03-2006, 11:12 PM I beta tested IE7 and it was very buggy. My tabs kept not working properly, and whenever I click them I have to click twice because it acts as if I want to rearrange the tab so I have to click to put it back. It also severely screwed up my wireless connection. Also the File thing was acting weird.
Now with the automatic updating system, the computer restarted itself while I was at school, and now all the bugs are fixed, and I'm more secured.
And actually there are no more buttons at the top. She had the optional Google toolbar, but you don't have that unless you download it from google. They have some buttons on the right but I find those helpful. You can open up things like Y! Messenger right from the internet. :) It's pretty cool.
