I was just wondering, do we have to use the space poles?
I have a Jungle room and used the Typhoon Lagoon trunks.
Does it matter?

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. It's your design :)

Well, you can only use the new pieces for your ride (as said in the Newsletter) so I think you have to use the space poles.

Well, think it meant the actual RIDING pieces, didn't it?
Not the poles.
Well I hope it meant that. xD

I'm not sure. Since you can decorate however you want to... but the poles are technically part of the ride. lol, its confusing!

Anymore opinions?

You should be okay. That would be stupid if you couldn't use the other poles. That'd be like telling someone they couldn't use the crates for...well, anything!

Try covering them up ;) LOL I think it should be fine though.

my question is it says ride pieces on sale- does that mean we can't use the space ups and downs we won from the event- they aren't on sale?

Yeah, that would be really dumb(o) if those weren't allowed.

Just to help clarify a few things, you can decorate your room ANY WAY you want. If you want to do a space tiki room, you can! If you want to do a space everest room, right on! If you want to do a space baseball, go for it!!

Remember, this must be YOUR version of Space Mountain. The only requirements are 1) Keep the room a maximum of 3 rooms (one room is fine) 2) Use the Space Mountain ride pieces (up and downs are fine)

If you want to use the space poles, then so be it. If you don't want to use them, then you don't have to. I know a lot of players bought the Typhoon sticks during the slide events, so that would be fine to use as well. You don't need to use the switch tracks or the door clickers. Those are just extra stuff. The most important thing are the ride tracks. Use those and your fine. Remember, there will be several categories the judges are going to be looking for. Being creative will definetly help your room stand out.

Good luck to everybody and have fun!!

Yes, in decorating your room, the only thing you must do is use the Space Mountain track.

I assume that they simply don't want a river/train/water ride in space!

the newsletter said only use the new space mountain pieces for the cimpetiton.

Your ride doesn't have to be in space. You can put it in an explorer's tent, a high school gym, a briar patch, a baseball diamond, or any other location you might have. You just can't use any of the non-Space Mountain ride pieces to build the ride.

Oh, and not to harp on the subject, but as long as we've got an expert here:

Well of course they'll work. You can mix and match whatever ride pieces you like. You just won't be eligible for an award in the competition if you use any ride pieces other than Space Mountain ride pieces.
