Lol well in my science class we had a science competition and they were different competitions to enter so I did the Eiffel Tower 1....and mine was about....5 feet 7 inches tall. It looked pretty accurate but there were some huge ones that were double the size of mine....some looked really good and some were just...eww. There were people from 1st through 12th grade competing so they gave prizes in age groups....but there were 6 different criterias on how they were going to judge but they only paid attention to 1 school and the heights....so I didn't win, but oh wells. I'll try next year. :D

Anyone else had to do this?

I haven't heard of this competition, but I'd love to see some pictures of the models, if you have any.

(Remember, don't post pictures of yourself, for safety reasons!)

So does this mean you'll make one for my classroom? :D

It's not a full scale model. It only grows and shrinks a few nanometers.

Hahah! Nice. :)

I have a wooden one in my classroom that probably does the same with the humidity differences, not heat.

Im not accussing you or anything, but if those are classmates in the pictures, you may want to remove them and get pictures of the modles without people in it?

Other than that... WOW!

You could just wipe out their faces or something.

(In the pictures, I mean. Not for real. Don't try this at home, kids.)

Off topic: I keep on typing your title Neotony, then realizing that it's teny and editing it.

those are really nice! You know, i built 3 carnival rides (egg scrambler, ferris wheel, and some other kind of thing that idk what it's called) once! They were even able to move and spin around!

However, i wish i could build them without the k'nex pieces.....

I prefer Legos:

(Yes, that's all Legos. No, I didn't build it. LegoLand rocks.)

I donated pieces for that and helped. The towers were awesome. The 2nd was so high, It should have been first. What gives it 1st place title though. Like why did it get 1st place?

· Does the tower resemble the Eiffel Tower?
· Is the tower proportional?
· Beauty?
· Height
· Use of correct materials
· Neatness
Those are the criteria but I think they only paid attention to the height.
