Is there anything wrong with dial-up. Please Post anything you have in mind......:)

I had dial up, and it will take you at least 1 hour to load VMK. And that is on a 56kbps connection! That is why VMK reccomends High Badwith, which means Cable or DSL.

lol dial up...old school but yeah you really need a high bandwith as allowasas said

it happen to me this month dont worry it will fixed (believe me i know lol).staff said they are having proublem with enteries so '(host)->she/he<-(i forgot) ask has anyone got it we're having proublem with that'

I have dial-up at home. I load the game but once it is loaded I don't shut my computer down (unless I have to) but rather leave it in sleep mode. This keeps the game in the memory so that you do not have to load it again.

i always keeps my computer on stand-by a.k.a. sleep mode. i never turn it off, but thanks everyone for their help. anyways i HAD wireless

I can never get VMK loaded with dial-up, can't download shockwave either >.<

I never ever had dial up. My grandma and grandpa do and it takes forever for it to load

nvm it is going quicker now, like 10 minutes. it isnt that bad cause i am patient

Dial up used not be a problem with vmk back in the day lol. Used to be able to play fireworks better on dial up than dsl about a year ago lol.

Never had a problem with it, but there is a good saying:

Once you go DSL you can never go back. (to dial up fyi)

I feel your pain. Bug your parents until they get a higher speed internet ;) Maybe even e-mail them links to cheap DSL or Cable internet providers ;) That is what I had to do to my parents to get them on DSL. hehe.

I have Dial Up, and yeah, it takes about an hour for VMK to load initially, and a minute to three for each room. (Guest room, public room - has to load the background and such). I was hoping to get High Speed this Christmas, but I live out in the country so no dice.

I had dial up when vmk was first opening, and it took a while but never an hour,once vmk became big, im sure it took longer but by that time i was on dsl. Feel your pain, i would never have the patience to wait that long for the game to load.

well when i had wireless i played VMK too much and now i will try wat you did but i dont think its because of the price, i think it is because i will play as much as i used to. but i wont think they will trust me even if i tell them i will play less. :(

Can you switch to DSL? I've heard Comcast is good.
I also had dial-up-- way before VMK and toontown, but I remember that the games I played before was incredibly slow.

Comcast is Cable and EXPENSIVE! I thought my internet prices were expensive, then I looked at Comcast. $70 more than what I pay for COX and AT&T both. (I have both).

I have dial up and I live in the mountains, I bought a new computer and I have always had a phone line only for my computer and fax only. I am 2 and 1/2 blocks from the phone company they say and from getting DSL. I have wireless on both my computers and everyone around me has DSL, I hate them

The thing of it is, is I have no problem with mine, I do a disk clean up 2 or 3
times a week because between this site vmk and my mail and my ebay i really get the cookies and then I do check to see if i need a disk desfragmenter done and if i do then I do it . On the next day it takes me about 1/2 and hour to load up and that's all. I turn my computer off every night because it really rains and even though I have good surgers I don't want to take any chances with lightening up here,

What you need to do is talk to your computer tech's and your internet providers and to vmk because sounds like your internet options are not set right or your firewalls are blocking vmk from coming in also, turn off your pop up blockers and if you have norton there is your problem just keep the virus protection and get rid or turn off the other stuff, I just have a program called pc mighty max and it takes real good care of my system and norton virus does the rest.
