I don't even know where to start, but first I have to know, how long are you going to be there?

Hi!
A little clarification, please. Are you talking about parks? Rides? Restaurants? Resorts? What age group? Children? Teens? Adults? Lots of different things for everyone!
EPCOT is cool. Animal Kingdom in the morning is cool. Magic Kingdom has stuff for the kiddies. MGM-Disney Studios is cool. What are you looking for?

Check out Dis (http://www.disboards.com)
Tons of info on everything is there.
HTH and HAVE A BLAST!!!

For the parks themselves from my experiences going there last year,
EPCOT:
1. Don't do Spaceship Earth (the big silver globe) first thing, everyone crowds into that first because its the first thing they see, there's usually no wait times in the afternoon
2. Do Test Track First, or get a FastPass if wait is too long. Try avoid riding it in mid afternoon or later especially if there are thunderstorms in the forecast, those storms usually close the ride down.
3. DO NOT ride Mission Space shortly after you have eaten, I've seen janitors ready to clean up after those who have lost their lunch on the ride.
4. Put Illuminations on your must see list. It is the best fireworks show in Disney (aside from the Disneyland's 50th fireworks but that's probably my Disneyland bias speaking). I also went on a real nice special dinner at the Odyssey and special seating for Illuminations but you have to reserve it well in advance.

MGM:
1. Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster are the most popular attractions in the park.
2. If there are 2 Fantasmic shows on the same night, go to the later one the first one is usually packed.

Animal Kingdom
1. FastPass Kali River Rapids if the wait is too long and if the return time is not that late.
2. Many say the animals in the safari are most visible in the morning compared to mid-day.
3. Animal Kingdom can typically be covered in less than a day and closes early, so you'll have plenty of time to "park hop" to another park in the evening.

Magic Kingdom
1. FastPass Splash Mountain and do it early, the line builds up fast later in the day.
2. I'm pretty sure Space Mountain is also very popular
3. Do not wait in the outdoor queue area of Mickey's Philharmagic, especially if its a hot humid day, you will be sweating a river if you do
4. For Wishes fireworks a clear view of the castle and the night sky directly behind it is best, make sure no trees obstruct your view

As for VMK stuff, visit the VMK Central inside Main Street Cinema.
1. Print out the Tomorrowland Quest for Magic Kingdom Park from the VMK website and bring it with you. The other 3 park quests you get from VMK Central in the real Magic Kingdom Park.
2. Complete the answers correctly to all 4 quests and you get a virtual prize card that is your ticket to the insider tour (which you can win virtual prize cards and ride some of the rides w/o waiting in long lines)
2.5 There some other threads that give the quest hints and explain the insider tour in WDW in more detail (I don't know much about the WDW version of the tour, I'm a Disneyland Annual Passholder)
3. Also ask which stores carry VMK prize cards where you purchase real merchandise and also get the special VMK cards (there should be five of those type of prize cards available).

Hello there, I work at WDW and on behalf of all the cast we cant wait to see you! and I'm so excited that this is your first visit. You are going to have a blast.
If you arrive at opening at the Magic Kingdom (this is generally 9 am.) (there are early opens for guests staying in the resorts), go to tomorrowland and get a fast pass of either Buzz or Stitch or Space Mtn. and then ride all the rides in that area while you are waiting for your fast pass to kick in.
Use the fast pass anywhere it is available it will save you lots of time.
Don't forget to go to VMK Central to pick up you Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland Quests. VMK Central is located on Mainstreet in the Mainstreet Cinema.
Epcot get there early grab a fast pass for Soarin (located in The Land pavillion) get the fast pass and then ride soarin while waiting for that fast pass, you will want to go on it more than once!
Spaceship Earth later in the day will have no lines at all! so patience rules out there. Make sure to check out the display of Disney Land Hong Kong in the China pavillion. So cool to see!
MGM- Not to be missed- Rockin Roller Coaster and The Tower of Terror. Grab a fast pass for the Lights, Motors Action Stunt Show. Don't miss Muppets or Star Tours!
Animal Kingdom go get a fast pass for the Kilamajaro Safari first thing you will be glad you did!
Have a great time, and if you need any help just contact me here. :wave2:

Congratulations! I know you are going to have a lot of fun there. I've been there almost 5874554848 times (typing random numbers). Ok, maybe not that much but I've been there a lot (hence the name, "Florida").

Anyway, if you are staying in one of the Disney resorts (i.e. The Grand Floridian, Disney's All-Star Resorts, The Animal Kingdom Lodge), I think there is a special channel where this girl tells you the top seven must sees, so if it sounds interesting you should watch that.

In my opinion, I have listed below some must-do's.

The Magic Kingdom:
This isn't just a kiddie park, on the contrary to popular belief, there are a few thrills within it's boundaries.
-The Disney World Mountain Range (Splash Mountain (a soggy flume ride), Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (a wild mine/roller coaster type ride), and Space Mountain (a roller coaster ride through the stars and YES it is VERY dark). I would say that Space Mountain is the most thrilling of the three.
-Mickey's PhilharMagic
No, this isn't thrilling, but it sure is a very good show. This is a wonderful production that uses all the senses (YES you can even SMELL) and it is in 3-D. There are a bunch of songs and characters from classic Disney movies that come to life in a 3-D realm.
-Stitch's Great Escape!
Personally, I didn't think this was very appealing to some of the older audiences, but if you have younger brothers or sisters they may enjoy this. Join the Galactic Federation as they try to contain Experiment 626 in prison, and YOU must guard him. The name says it all, he escapes and wreaks havoc on the audience. This ride takes place in the dark.
And at night, enjoy the wonderful fireworks show Wishes, an amazing spectacle of fireworks and music, as your host, Jiminy Cricket, is your guide.

Disney/MGM Studios
This park appeals to some older guests, as they are home to some very high level thrills.
-Rock n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (My personal favorite)
Blast from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds as you twist, turn, corkscrew, loop, and dive in a loud, fast limo that grooves through Tinseltown. Note: This ride has a tendency to be VERY loud depending on who is operating it, as Aerosmith music is blasting in your ears the entire ride. This roller coaster also takes place in the dark.

-The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (another crowd-pleaser)
Board an abandoned elevator as you zip 13 stories up, only to drop back down faster than the speed of gravity! But, the killer diller is that this ride now serves up RANDOM drops, so you never know what you're gonna get, all that is known for sure is that there WILL BE a huge drop into the Twilight Zone. (This attraction may frighten younger guests, as the ride is VERY dark)

There are many shows at this park that please many guests, such as Muppet Vision 3D, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage!, Lights, Motors, Action!, and Indiana Jones: Epic Stunt Spectacular.

There is one truly spectacular event that occurs at night at the Disney/MGM Studios which is called "Fantasmic!". Cheer Sorcerer Mickey on as he battles Disney villains and harnesses the power of his imagination. This may frighten younger children. This show contains light, fire, fireworks, water, and lasers.

EPCOT
Step into a futuristic realm when you visit EPCOT, where everything is ahead of its time.
-Mission: SPACE
Go on an exhilarating flight to Mars as you board your spcae craft and blast into the unknown. This ride simulates a real launch experience and is VERY intense. Those that get sick easily should choose not to ride, as it is dark, the capsule you ride in is VERY tight and enclosed, and it spins very fast. Remember, this ride is EXTREMELY intense, but if you simply pay attention to the instructions they give you while watching the pre-show, you should be fine.

-Test Track
This time, YOU'RE the test dummy as your board a test car and experience some REAL car testing experiments, such as rough roads, anti-lock brakes, and even a crash test. This ride is very appealing to younger audiences, because it is fast, long, and fun.

-Soarin'
Imported from California for the Happiest Celebration On Earth comes Soarin', a new attraction that let's you FLY. This ride is not as thrilling as they say it is, but it is very soothing and relaxing. You can feel, hear, and even smell your surroundings as you glide through California aboard a hanglider.

Disney's Animal Kingdom
This is a great place to come face to face with some fascinating animals, with exhilarating rides, breathtaking scenery, and WONDERFUL shows. But remember, Animal Kingdom is Nahtazu! (Not A Zoo)

-DINOSAUR
Hop in a Time Rover and zip back 65 million years into the past as you try to save the last dinosaur form extinction. This ride is very dark, very fast, very rough, and it may frighten younger children as some of the dinosaurs are a bit frightening.

-Kali River Rapids
Well, you don't get as wet as you used to, but Kali River Rapids can give you a little splash. This is a raft ride and you battle white water rapids and dodge waterfalls. The part where you are bound to get a little wet is where you fall down a 30 foot waterfall into a raging river.

-It's Tough To Be A Bug!
Join Flik and some other unforgettable characters from A Bug's Life in this creepy-crawly 3-D show. This may frighten younger children because there are spiders, wasps "stings" and things that go bump in the night.

-Festival of the Lion King
This is a celebration fit for a king as you sing, dance, and play along in this glorious celebration. The music and costumes are fabulous, and this is absolutely a MUST DO. (This is a show that is set up with showtimes. Check the guide you receive when you enter the park for its times)

-Kilimanjaro Safaris
This is a great, GREAT way to see some fascinating animals such as lions, rhinos, giraffes, elephants. The best time to go is around eleven. My family and I have found all the animals are awake by then. Late in the afternoon causes the animals to retreat to shady areas, so they will be out of view.

There is much, MUCH more to do at Walt Disney World, such as the two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) and Downtown Disney. Though I have not listed everything, these are just a few of the many surprises that await you there. Hope this helped and have fun!
