View Full Version : Help before i use vmk contact us.
timmyastro 10-31-2006, 03:31 AM Well my computer had a virus and i restarted the entire thing so its fresh out of the box. the first day when i refreshed it vmk worked fine and loaded like it was supposed to. The next day it would not load , then i found out it takes 30 minutes for vmk to load , i have DSL very fast internet , im wondering why this is happening to me. When i tryed to go on this 1 time it crashed then said something and i remember " check your firewall settings " then i remembered i updated my secerety for Mcafee. I shut down the firewall , same thing wont load for 30 minutes >_<. Does anyone know why it is taking so long all of a sudden? this is unnaceptable for me to wait this long.
I would appriciate help and suggestions :)
Thanks,
~Astro
.:Moomalademuffin:. 10-31-2006, 03:36 AM The only thing I could think of would be to try to reinstall your Flash. This happened to me once before and when I reinstalled Flash, it worked fine.
Hope I helped.

Yes, you need Flash as well. I'd try Shockwave as well, anything is worth a try.

NASAMan 10-31-2006, 10:16 AM Timmy-
Make sure you re-engage your firewall. VMK should work with them, it's only the big corporate ones that would give it trouble. I think you mentioned adding VMK to trusted sites, and that is the right idea. You don't want to catch another virus!
Just watching your back!
