On sunday we fall back an hour but look at it this way on the east coast vmk closes at 1 so that means if we are to fall back we would have an extra hour or 2 before vmk closed usually right? so will vmk be affected by the daylight saving or will it be normal?

Oh how much would I love to see it affect it and give us extra time to play vmk

no we do not gain an extra hour of vmk because the time change is not effective until after 2am so vmk would already have been closed an hour before the time falls back an hour making it 1am again when vmk is closed.

Besides, VMK goes by Pacific Time and doesn't even come close to still being open at 2am.

Not everyone lives by DLR! The events may go by pacific time for vmk, but for those of us on the east coast, it stays open till 1 AM.

VMK goes by Pacific Standard Time. That means VMK observes Daylight Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. in PST.

*Note: VMK closes at 10:00 PST. ---- 2:00 a.m. PST is 5:00 a.m EST.

If the savings thing started at 1am or 12a eastern, then this would make sense, right?

Since it runs on PT, it will still close at 10:00 PM since it will not be Sunday, they don't care about EST, its not their problem.

You are EST, just like me.

Anyways, VMK closes are 1 am EST. The time change is at 2 am. So, scince the time change will be after VMK closes, VMK's closing will be perfectly on schedual.

Of course, i could be wrong.

I think you're in Mountain, one of the more obscure time zones; it's between Central and Pacific.

well daylight savings means you get an extra hour of sleep so...i think vmk closes at the same time but our bodies will feel like is an hour later understand?

VMK closes just the same time, we go back an hour so say you live in the east (Like me)

Right now it would be 9:32. it will STILL close at 1:00. soon, our bodies will get used too it. But closing stays the same

I hope i got that right........

Um, it will stay up later tomorrow? You will not get as sleeply?

I'm sorry to say, but I don't think VMK would be able to stay an extra hour because it would be affected by the time as well. :)

Actually, I am up at 1 AM lol.

Also, It does not matter what happens. When VMK changes their times back it will probably be when vmk has already closed and it will be at least an hour after closing.

That way when the time is changed it is closed for everyone. And technically it is closed at the same time in both timezones except with a 3 hour difference.

For example, in PST vmk closes at 10 pm, in EST vmk closes at 1 AM, if for example vmk changes their clocks back at 12 AM Pst, it will be 3 AM Est. so it does not matter.

I know this. What Im saying is that vmk is open till 1 AM for some of us. Im not disputing that it goes by PST. Im the person responsible for setting all our clocks back in the house.....Im not a dummy LOL. Now if I left it up to my kids, lol, we would still be on day light savings time for the next several days. Oh and btw....sometimes Im up at 1 AM. Being big does have its advantages....nobody tells you when you should sleep :).

Although sometimes your eighteen-day-old kid tells you when you shouldn't.

If where you say you live is true here in your information, Virginia, you would be in the Eastern time zone. An easy VMK way to figure out which time zone you are in is if your VMK closing time is 1:00am, which puts you three hours ahead of the Pacific time zone.

VMK opens here (Belgium) at the normal time (16.00)?! Did they changed the clock at the US too, and this time at the same moment? :)

I don't know if Daylight Saving Time is a US-only thing or not ...

If you have not changed your clocks in Belgium since yesterday (setting them back one hour), VMK will open one hour later than normal. It is currently almost 7:30 Pacific time, so VMK just opened a half hour ago.
