Arg, I have kept gettiing this message when trying to get into a family on The Sims 2 Glamor Life. Look:

I restarted my computer, I let everything run without clicking on The Sims. EVERYTHING! I tried it on a shortcut, NO LUCK! If I reinstall it, will all my data from this game be erased? Help, for ideas on what to do!

When reinstalling most games there is an option during the reinstall to leave all files except for the actually game files intact on the computer. However, I dont know if the SIMS reinstall has that feature. So if it doesnt when or if you reinstall you will lose all your game data.

If you have a USB Flash Drive, find your saved file and put it on there, then re-install it. And like Thark said, most of the un-install-ers will have an option on there to leave the files. But what I would do, is back that file up and then choose that option, just in case something goes wrong. Say a power outage.

Make sure you have enough space most computers crash when they need more space.

Well, it worked today, it didn't crash on any other families. So, if I play a family before it, then it won't crash.
