I have now six coral magic and I really only would like to have one. They seem so useless to me. I can not trade them, they are one time use, and they take up space. Who actually look forward to getting on. The first, I was like "heck yeah!" Second, "cool, now I can use the first!" Third, "how many more of these will I get?" I if oculd trade them they would all be gone.

I find that I tend to wish I would have gotten an empty instead, at least then you get 100 credits, or even no key at all, then I would have my credits I earned in the game.

LOL, it reminds me when we were all excited about it, now everyone is like "Darn it". If only you could trade or combine it, or even have it as multi-use

I don't like coral magic, I said that from the start of the chests. Yeah sure, the first one was neat. Then you used it, wanted another. You got it, then you just kept getting them. Last count, I have 42. It's not fun opening a box and finding something you can't even sell back.

I still think these pins are going to be useful at some point, probably for a quest.

Single-use magic only makes sense when it's something like the keys, a means to get something else.

I got two coral magics so far.

ive gotten 8 coral magic and it gets boring the reason why vmk staff made some magic 1 time use and they DID say this in news letter people collect the magic and dont use it that much. its true but ppl like collecting stuff what's wrong with that? i think its fun to collect stuff you like and magic pins you should use them but did they even know about the dc long time ago when alot of ppl would use magic in one room and ppl who dc from this? im not try to be mean at all but they should not make one time use magic i have 6 coral magic now and the worst thing is that they have 30 day limit even worse! if they were one time use and could last for ever that would be better but yet again that goes against what they said they want ppl to use magic

The reason I wasn't using magic before was that my lanyard was too small to display the pins I wanted to wear and still hold magic pins. Now that the lanyard is larger, I use magic all the time.

Though I've yet to use any of my Coral magic. What's the point?

I only wear coral magic so I can brag that I got more then other people. But personally, I believe it is a big waste. I would MUCH rahter have any piece of Pirate Maze Wall or ANY amount of credit. I was never really fond of the idea of one time use magic, but I thought I would give it a try, and I don't like. 200 credit to use bat magic once, HA! Yeah right. I payed up and got a full bat. Never once regreted it. Boo-hoo I don't use magic every second. I really wouldn't mind if coral was used for an objective later, but just use it for the fun of it, crazy. Besides, the 30-day limit is annoying. I like to hold my pins, not use them. I really like the Pirate Maze Walls and also the credit, the empty is annoying, but worse is the Coral Magic. I strongly believe that the effort to make one time use magic should have been put into bringing back the Quest Kiosk. PLEASE VMK MAKERS: hear my plea, just make it tradable. Please. No sale price, just trable. It would make me a very happy person.

i have gotten about 20 of them total

i look at the coral magic the same as the green car magic

We do get the credits we earned in the pirate game, even when we earn a key. I wondered about that myself, and I actually checked my credits when I earned a key. We do get the credits; we just don't get a message telling us we earned them.

As for the coral magic, I think it's kind of fun to get something special that you can't earn any other way. Just think, next month we'll see a lot of people using their magic as their pins are about to expire! I think the best prize is the 500 credits you sometimes get from the gold box (that's like winning a costume piece!). I really like the magic keys and the treasure boxes. It just adds more to the fun of the best game on vmk!

I agree with Kangaforlife that the keys and pirate chests adds to the fun of the Pirates game, I just only wish thought coral would either be much more rare so I would have less, or make then not one time use.

Of course, to trade it, you'd have to find someone who would want it.

I still think VMK has a surprise in store for us, and this single-use Coral magic will be useful for something. It doesn't make any sense otherwise.

P.S. I know this sounds ridiculous, but if you're on one day and have absolutely NOTHING better to do, just go into some party room or full trade room, dance, and walk around using up your magic. Amuse the fellow VMK-ers! Then, just suddenly leave and try another room.

So the original idea for all magic pins was one-time use? I'm glad the game never started out that way. Sorry, but offering one-time use magic pins at this point is kind of like the airlines giving out bags of pretzels in place of meals.

The whole reason we didn't use the magic because of the dc. I ythought they would know that. I think 1x use is not cool!

Let me say, beggars cant be chosers. You are lucky to get a new prize, its a new option in the game. VMK was right, people don't use their magic as much as VMK would like. So they force you to use it by making a one time use magic. And you don't just have the chance of winning a one time use magic in pirates you have a chance to win a good amount of credits, 500 credits, not a bad incentive to play huh. VMK wants the magic used because why give pins that do special things if people won't use them?

I'm not wild about the "green magic." I've gotten a bunch and have used a few. It's kinda fun, but doesn't really last very long. I've never been a big fan of magic anyway. You can only watch someone turn into a snow man so many times and it begins to loose its charm.

Single use magic has its place. It's perfect for the player who is doing the green car quest and would just like to get through it without spending 10,000 credits and who really doesn't care about being able to turn into a bat at will. (Well... the green car is really just as useless too, but it does signify a certain prowess at mini-games.)

I just don't see single use magic as much of a prize. Sure... it's free and beggers can't be choosers, but it's still like getting a toenail in your Cracker Jacks. You really expected something a little better.

It was a joke. Yes, I wear them, but I would much rather not even have them. I think you took "brag" in the wrong context. I wear them so people can see how many I have. I don't know about you, but if you have 15 coral wouldn't you wear them all and feel special. But besides that, they have no purpose for me. I actually have only gotten it twice. Usually I get pirate walls or credits, and then every once and a while nothing, so I must actually be lucky.

Sorry Everyone, but I have to say this: THE GAME IS FOR FUN. seriously, everyone is complaining about what the new prizes are, but nobody remembers why the game exists in the first place. I play pirates all the time, regardless of getting coral or not, it shouldn't stop you from playing it. Use the magic, it's not like complaining about it is going to make it go away! Play the game for fun, and when a key pops up take whatever you get!

This is what Yavn was talking about concerning magic pins. More people wanted them just to put them in their signature but they were rarely ever using them. If you get Coral Magic USE it and enjoy it's spell!
