Who heard of the Simba Hat coming out after the New Year at WDW?
I know I have, what about you? Have you never heard of it? Do you have any information about it? Am I wrong?:h-biggrin

I'm pretty sure in an issue of Ask Yavn, he confirms that there is no such thing.

I have asked friend who has asked a In-Park staff personaly about this and they said yes (my friend is on this site not in real life), if this is false do not plz do not blame me, i am just sending a message of wat another person said. thanks :)

This thread is partly how rumors start. "I heard so and so say such and such . . ."

Small lesson, don't believe everything that you hear/read.

As was mentioned, Yavn said no.

you never really know what vmk is up too... they maybe thingking about it...

yeah...but WDW needs something like a stitch hat from DLR

wat do u people then explain why the VMK staff and Yavn are going to WDW? i know the rest of the creator staff for quests there and stuff like that, but come on i bet they are going to have some sort of new hat for WDW hotels. maybe not a simba, it even maybe a gorilla hat, toucan hat, nemo hat, toy story hat, and a dinosaur hat. who knows!? :)

I highly doubt something being at WDW - with all the rumors - , vmk does not like to even it out , but oh please a dinosour hat LOL , anyway. That is probably not the reason they are there.

Just because they are going to WDW does not mean they are designing a hat. They have pictures and graphics programs at home in California; they do not need to travel to WDW to create a hat. They could be there to work on the newer parks section of the site. To get ideas, information, and quality pictures. They could be in WDW for virtually anything; there is no evidence supporting one specific reason why they are there.



Yavn has said they were not planning on it, but perhaps they could devolop that into an item from that question. They might have gotten an idea, you never know.

Also, park staff are park staff not Virtual Park Staff. They have no special priveleges to allow them to know which items are coming out ahead of time and when, anything like that. Unless you happen to personally know Yavn or another member of the testing team, I would not count on your information being accurate. And know that anyone can type the quote tags and make it look like Yavn really said that, and anyone can say that Yavn said something. I could say George Bush said the sky is purple, but he didn't. At least to my knowledge. ;)

This whole rumor was created because, not only do ppl expect to see a travel package award when going to WDW, but some ppl are saying:

stitch pin, blue stitch box, stitch hat=stitch set in DLR

so they say "Hmm,"

yellow box exists. That with Simba pin and hat must =simba set in WDW

BUMPITY BUmp bump!

I personally think they went to WDW to get ideas for in-game decorations for Christmas. Also, on the page where you can apply to be a moderator in-game, it says you do not have to live in the area of California, but sometimes they meet at their office somewheres and yeah.. so maybe this is one of their meetings only it is in WDW instead of DLR.

But I hope they went to WDW for decoration ideas; I highly doubt it was to make a hat.

I don't remember if I said this before - but they could just as easily (or more easily) have made a hat from home in California because they have: original drawings, the internet, computers, graphics programs, and artists. There is nothing in WDW that would help them design a Simba hat.

Actually it makes sense that they would go to WDW to make new quests, but that is besides the point and belongs on a different thread.

Its just a rumor because everyone thinks something will be at WDW for the hotels just like DLR , this could very well be not true vmk does not even everything out.
