View Full Version : Return To Halloweentown
blueotter 10-21-2006, 03:08 AM I myself love the Holloweentown movies, but at the end of the newest one I was a little dissapointed. I thought they didn't focus enough on Marnie's new friend the genie. Why did they call her Marnie Piper? I thought that was weird. I think they should have involved Aggie a little more. The whole thing with the Sinister Sisters took a lot of time and it didn't really have that much importance in the movie. I thought making the mom a realtor was funny, but it was wierd that she could only communicate with her kids through water. Where was Sophie? They should have put her in the movie. Since they were a family together whatever. Why couldn't they get the girl who originally played Marnie in the first three movies? It would have made it easier to follow the story. I thought the plot was a little scattershot. They threw in Professor Apple merchant or whatever her name is kind of oddly. They should have focused more on her and Aggie's friendship.
I thoguht the first two movies went sort in a pattern. Kalabar tries to take over the world then his son tries to. Then they do that wierd one about Ethan's dad. First of all why was Ethan still in Halloweentown and not with his father?
Anything you would have changed? Anything sort of annoy you through the movie? Think something should have been focused on more or not at all?

JpopChick<3 10-21-2006, 03:12 AM I kinda liked it But Why couldn't They get the Original Marnie!!!!!! Sara paxton was ok.. But the first one was better! I guess she didn't want to do it.On a scale of 1 to 10 Id give it a 7.
^_^x
ChoPotter 10-21-2006, 03:13 AM I love the movies too. First off, I have to say I loved the ending!! ^^ It was so funny!! I agree though, Aggie was S. Cromwell, they should have had her umm....involve in destroying or well...getting rid of the amulet. I still liked it though! ^^
RubyRubia 10-21-2006, 03:17 AM *sigh* I will miss Kimberley J. Brown.
I myself have not seen it yet, but the only Halloweentown movie I ever liked was the first one. - nods -

Tinklover 10-21-2006, 03:28 AM I t was a awesome movie but it should have been longer and been more detaild. I would have liked having the original Marnie but this one was ok. I was thrilled by how all the characters were costumed. I do wish the new characers had more time to show there personality.
WCPagentGirl 10-21-2006, 03:29 AM I didn't watch all of it.
I hope it comes on tomorrow too!

Tinklover 10-21-2006, 03:30 AM It's Disney and a a premeire it will come on all weekend. lol
CubbyDoggie 10-21-2006, 03:52 AM They should've only made a one and two. Some movies are good enough for a third, but Holloweentown isn't one of them.
I thought that Holloweentown High was dreadful and that Return to Holloweentown was even worse.

Dudejoejoe 10-21-2006, 03:54 AM I enjoyed it. The begin almost made me turn it off but the last 45 minutes was pretty good. But once again another corney DCOM. -Sigh- And this shoudl be in the Disney Channel fan club section of the foms.
blueotter 10-21-2006, 04:11 AM I saw an ad for their new movie flip in or jump or something with that guy from high school musical with the large bushy hair. I really don't think it looks that good. I agree I really like all the costumes. My favorite is Aggie's dress and robe.
SSweet 10-21-2006, 04:27 AM Well it wasnt so great, but very surprising. I like haloweentown high better
chorustwo 10-21-2006, 01:52 PM Disney Channel needs to get better actors. They use the same actors everytime. And the actors on there stink. Like high school musical and Cheetah Girls And also Halloween town High. People, your so wrapped up in who's playing who? That you don't even care about acting. That's the whole part of the movie!!

jdrocks 10-22-2006, 05:58 AM I enjoyed the movie. It was how very interesting I just finished watching it right now...although it would have been cute if Marny and Ethan er...is that his name? lol would have kissed my opinion is it would make the movie better. Why? I jsut think it would be exciting for the audience although it is very typical for that to happen which is probably better if they didn't kiss because that would be a typical old movie. LOL. :)
Sincerely Yours,

GreenGirlJess 10-22-2006, 08:01 PM I haven't seen it. I liked all the rest of the movies, but, I don't know if I want to see it because of Sara Paxton. Not that I don't like her, but why didn't they keep Kimberly J. Brown, or somebody that looks more like her? .-.
pixiebuttercup 10-22-2006, 08:04 PM i loved the movie i mean it was good ! why look at all the little details just enjoy the movie !
BMarie521 10-23-2006, 12:53 AM I enjoyed the movie very much. I read on wikipedia that Kimberly J. Brown was doing a movie, (I think<) So that's why the brought in Sara.
The beginning was a little wierd though...
blueotter 11-07-2006, 11:56 PM i watched cheetah girls in spain or whatever its called. Is it the second cheetah girls movie or the third?
Anyhow I noticed in a Route 66 video they did is that Raven is never with them after the movie. she just sort of shows up in the movies and then leaves. Why?
i thought the plot was way toooo much like the first one. The other three are trying to have fun and such and Raven gets in the way. And she says things like "We need to rehearse" "we need to do this and that". I think they just changed the setting a few characters and the songs. And of course in the end they get back together and win watever contest they're in.
Post your opinion about this. And feel free to answer my question at beginning of this post. I am not a real Cheetah Girl fan and I only watched it the other night because it was the only movie on. I really don't know.
