Dear VMKF fans,

I hear that VMK may release Green Flips later this winter...

Do you think that VMK will release the Green flips for sale? I think that they should so that everyone can enjoy them. Now that staff do not wear them anymore, why not bring them out for everyone?

Green ears can stay a staff only thing...although those would be awesome to wear too!

Even though the VMK_ and HOST_ staff members are very well informed, they are not always the ones that determine the complete truth on these topics, since it is up to the Disney department (QA_ + Yavn) to decide how they manage the inventory of items. Anyhow, from what it was said up to now by the Disney department, it doesn't seem like they are going to be released ever again, but things could change depending on what the majority of the audience wants.

If you would like a personal opinion, I wouldn't release them for the fact of being respectful towards those who traded their heads off for them. Same would apply to the Green Baggy Pants. However, releasing Green Mickey Ears wouldn't be a bad thing, indeed, I'd love to be able to wear Green Mickey Ears.

With all the evidence given, i would still never trade my infernos for a pair coz i would always be scared they may come back out again.

Well think about this... Green Flips would have no value if it were to come out. Probably would be having a lot of people (Including me) quiting vmk because they spent a lot on their flips.

With regard to the fact that releasing an item would devalue it: That would go for any item in VMK! So, why ever re-release any item? For example, why re-release any retired costumes for Halloween, or re-release any retired pins, or ever give out prizes given out before?

What about the new player that just started? Remember how hard it was to trade for rare because as a new player you had nothing of value to bargain with? I have waited so long just to get the halloween items because I could not trade for any of those items because they were so rare! Now that VMK has re-released the spider web divider, pumpkin (old one), and other Halloween items, my rooms are delightfully spookier!

Anyways, that is my two cents.

Yavn said that inferno will be coming out in the near or not so near future. We all doubt that it will go on sale, actually i think the chances of it on sale is like .000001%. But inferno will probably come back out as Yavn said, but it most likely will be as a host room prize.

I doubt it, seriously, I do. As much as I hate saying this...I don't think they'll ever come out again. Yavn said they won't be for sale. But hey, maybe they'll be for some...quest? Heh, I'm just getting my hopes up. If they did come out, they should have it be for a seriously high amount of credits. Then, it might not be as umm...idk what's the word I'm looking for. Anyways, I really do doubt it.

Well idk green flips is one of the rarest things in vmk it would be great to have them for sale again but i'm sure a lot of people would be mad sisnce they worked hard for there flips. oh yah and by the way i thing staff switchd over to red ears.

Highly doubt it, and if they were ever sold, they'd be soo expensive.

That doesn't mean that they won't give them in a host game/ vmk card/ host quest.

methinks, green flips should be an inpark quest where you have to go from WDW to DLR and back to WDW to get them, and even then when you enter the code you have to do a quest.

I don't think green flips should be released again. However much I want them, I still disagree with most of you. People who traded basically their VMK lives for them would be very mad, and it would highly decrease the rarity of one of the rarest items. Most of the rare items have been re-released! There should be some that can stay rare.

i afree with everyone else but i have 3 things to say

1: People who traded there butts off tring to get a pair of green flips would be sad that they could have just waited for it and now all of there stuff is gone AND it would lose its value

2: People who DONT have it would be happy that it is back and they have a oppertunity to get it. like me i didn't get to get the cowboy suit last halloween but i got it this time.

3: (totaly of topic) you know that at DISNEYLAND RESORT you can get the stitch hat and all the other things that come with it. I heard (not to spread a rumor) that they MIGHT come out with a simba hat?

Green Flips have been said that they will not be released again. They were previously a Staff Uniform and only a selected few were lucky enough to get them in BETA before Staff got the official 'Green Staff Uniform'. It would be unfair to those who bought them and have had them since the beginning, if they were to bring them back. Also to those who traded a lot for them. Since it is a retired staff costume I believe it will staw that way. Although releasing Green Ears would not be that bad as they were not released to anybody else but staff and they are not being used by anybody as of now.

I dont know if you have noticed but i have that more and more poeple every day are starting to trade there Green Flips why is this you ask well as most of you all know that St. Patricks day most if not all green clotheing will come out only for a certin ammount of days (THIS DOES NOT INCLUD GREEN EARS) and also some furnishings as well but if you have noticed people are trading them while they can im not saying for sure that Green Flips will be out for sure and im not say that they will but im just saying that it is really odd to see so many poeple all of a sudden trading Green Flips and a St. Patricks day thing where most if not all green stuff comes out (THIS DOES NOT INCLUD GREEN EARS) and the reason i put this in trade threads or post or what eevr you call them is because This is about trading green flips thanks for reading

Many staff, testers, and producers of VMK have stated that Green Flips will never be released again in ANY way. Also I heard that Inferno will most likely not be coming back into HOST Games. (Unless it is a quest and only about 3 are given. This rarely happens).

I have heard this argument again and again about how re-releasing beta is unfair to those who got it during beta and I still don't understand it. I won't disagree with the fact that it is slightly unfair to those who have traded for green flips or beta, although if you trade for something that is valuable simply because it is not available you always take the risk that it will be released again. But I can understand people being upset after they traded so much.
This isn't the point of my post, however.
I want to address the complaints of beta players who bought beta during beta and then kept it for months, perhaps even a year with no real intention of ever trading it. A lot of these players, but not all, seemed to really enjoy lording these possessions over other players. I personally made ridiculous offers for some beta items that were dismissed out of hand and watched even bigger offers get turned down the same way.
Then, when beta is re-released, these players whine and complain about how their rockets are now worthless.
My question is, if you didn't trade for them, and you never planned to trade them, how does it really affect you if other people have the same thing?
I mean, if I have a really nice BMW, and then my neighbor buy another BMW, mine is not worth any less.
I would like to recommend a book to the beta players who complain when beta is re-released: "The Sneetches and Other Stories" by Dr. Suess.

Grayman, you've said it pretty well, but everything is different in online games. Rarity is usually based on the number of a certain item out there. Green flips are pretty rare because in beta, people thought they were ugly! Trading is always a risk, even for the most common of items! Who knows, maybe your crates will someday be worth lots? I think the main reason people want green flips is because they're rare. I'm not saying that everyone thinks that, though.

Either way, green flips shouldn't be released. Think of all of the people who spent many infernos on them. =[

Hmm, not exactly sure what you're trying say.

Green flips, green bag pants and both boy and girls green staff style shirts were sold in beta. You can get all of them currently through trades (if you're lucky) and can NOT get them by creating a new character.

There are shirts that are similar if you create a new character, but are not the same. The boys shirt is a different shade of green and the there is no half shirt in green for girls.

There have always been rumors flying around that flips would be brought back. Staff has been saying for more than a year that they would never be. Yavn said it in the newsletter.

I don't think that any of this will stop the rumors.

But no, I don't think that flips will eveer come back which is why I "invested" in them a while back. It was the one thing that I thought would actually stay rare.

I think they want to make a few things really rare. Including the green flips and most likely green baggy pants will not come out again. So mostly green should stay rare considering they have gone like a year of not being sold. I know inferno is not what I am talking about. However it stays as a favorite host prize that is very slim of winning. However there are about 6 green flips in vmk. Most likely people who belevie they will get green flips by saving their money spend it you have nothing to lose. Or else try to collect the smaller rare as inferno. Like 3 and there you go. No credits involved :). However this may be more challenging to even trade for inferno. But keep your hopes up peoples. This rumor will never become true. Unless if in a matter of years they change there mind like the quote from Christopher Lloyd from Back To The Future's I, II, and III, " The future is unwritten make it your best. " Well you heard my opinion however as AlwaysPrincess's clarrified I can back it up with how I have talked to 3 different staffs about this subject and all there answers have been to this FAQ is triple ( litterally ) No. That is a lie.

I just want to note that 10/100% of VMK players have green flips so I dont think its fair for the other 90% of the people to get jealous.

She said they wern't ever going to be Sold, In VMK that is.

well if they sell them they would have ANY value at all bc every knows how rare they are and buy like 10 sets at the time you could get a pair a Crate!!

Exactly what she said! Some ppl play vmk for not only friends but to have rare stuff as well or some just like trading. I go on and off about if i want rare stuff.


But as we have seen that vmk staff SOMTIMES NOT ALWAYS like to trick ppl so they dont expect stuff to come out if they told us when stuff will come out then, ppl would save credits until that day then buy alot of them which would bring down the rareness of the items then why trade anymore? On they other hand if they dont tell you, then you dont know when it will come out (or anything in this manner not just green flips) then you will be surprised when it comes out and makes it worth while to keep waiting.

Before beta was re-=realesed, they said it would NEVER come out but now some have and alot of the rare ones have not just the not so rare!

So dont think that what they say is ALWAYS true but i think green flips will never come out! bc ever since i remember they NEVER said it would and they know that ppl want them so it makes ppl trade for them its one of the most rarest thing in vmk why would they give out all the rarest things?
