Don't know if the problem was caused by a corrupted VMK file, but thought I'd try my luck with a challenger MacOSX problem:

Ever since one of the minigames crashed, I've not only lost all sound on VMK, but on all Flash and Shockwave plug-ins (ie., the Movie websites), which also includes flash-based *******--
Which causes Pirates and (obviously) Music Game to crash immediately, AND has lately even been causing my .MPG 1 and 2 video files to run clunky and without sound. (While my iPod .MP4 video has been running fine, although iTunes .MP3 has been crashing a lot more often lately.)
I've done clean un/re-installs of Shockwave and Flash Player, and the problem seems to be buried deeper.

I'm (ahem) still waiting to hear from VMK.com as to how to clean/reload the VMK software, so can't tell yet if that's the problem--
But any Mac techies who might know if there's some common source that's messing up both the Flash and the .MPG?

Thanks for your, er........help. 9_9
Turns out the glitch was buried so deep in the system, the only way I could flush the MacOSX works was to do an Archive/Install from the original disks.
(Sort of like an Erase/Install, but you get to keep your documents.)

Seemed to work--Now I'm back to being the feared key-hoarding terror of the seas, arr!
