Batty ^"^ winniesdapooh 10-13-2006, 12:14 AM does that mean u can buy a stitch hat, and get the card with code for VMK? rabbitprincess 10-13-2006, 12:26 AM does that mean u can buy a stitch hat, and get the card with code for VMK? that would be cool, and they should have done that, but sadly no. you must book a trip to DLR and then they will send you the cards... winniesdapooh 10-13-2006, 12:39 AM thanks! rabbitprincess CookyHalie 10-13-2006, 12:51 AM well they might of had a code but ppl were getting free codes and cheating so they stopped giving the codes with the hat. that means no more mickey ears. ppl where taking the hat and getting the codes then putting them back i thought it was mean bc for the person who bought that hat couldn't get the code:( winniesdapooh 10-13-2006, 12:57 AM oh yeah...i remember now, i was going to get that hat for halloween at the shop near Splash Mountain at WDW! :D it is cool winniesdapooh 10-13-2006, 01:13 AM well they might of had a code but ppl were getting free codes and cheating so they stopped giving the codes with the hat. that means no more mickey ears. ppl where taking the hat and getting the codes then putting them back i thought it was mean bc for the person who bought that hat couldn't get the code:( i just went to WDW, and u HAVE to ask THEM not them ask u ask THEM to get the card, so they dont have the codes just on the hat. i think..most positativally purplehusky 10-13-2006, 02:26 AM wow duckie, that is terrible.. real life stitch hats! oh my gosh! i must get a picture! i think we are going to flordia in the summer to see my great uncle or something.. so my question going along with that is, is there anywhere else outside of disney world to buy the stitch hats and soccers hat? also the gold mickey hat? i was just wondering because i probably can't convince them to take my to disney Neoteny 10-13-2006, 03:58 AM Do they even sell the golden ears at Disney any more? I thought they were for the 50th celebration only. thesimpson90 10-13-2006, 04:39 AM well they might of had a code but ppl were getting free codes and cheating so they stopped giving the codes with the hat. that means no more mickey ears. ppl where taking the hat and getting the codes then putting them back i thought it was mean bc for the person who bought that hat couldn't get the code:( i may have misunderstood but the way you said it sounded like they came on the hat. Batty ^"^ Caterpillar AEIOU 10-13-2006, 08:44 AM Do they even sell the golden ears at Disney any more? I thought they were for the 50th celebration only. They ran out at DLR months ago. At WDW ( at least the last time I checked) they were giving the Gold Ear Card away, when you turned in your quest cards at the VMK central. It is a prize if you get all of the quest correct. It replaced the gold Showcase collection. They were while supplies lasted. So I am not sure if they still have them, but they did this for a long time, so I am surprised more people didnt report it. But at WDW, they are not giving them away with the purchase of hats anymore, as the 50th is over. Someone that has been to WDW may be able to confirm this Maribeth 10-13-2006, 12:20 PM well they might of had a code but ppl were getting free codes and cheating so they stopped giving the codes with the hat. that means no more mickey ears. ppl where taking the hat and getting the codes then putting them back i thought it was mean bc for the person who bought that hat couldn't get the code:( No, sorry but that is not how it works. You buy any hat from the store, and then say "I play VMK, may I have a card for golden ears?" and they will give you a card after you purchase the ears. ;) They took them away because it was the end of the 50th anniversary (which is the golden anniversary if you didn't know that.) They took away everything that had to do with the 50th celebration, including the ears. Do they even sell the golden ears at Disney any more? I thought they were for the 50th celebration only. They were for the 50th celebration. They did stop selling them. They probably gave away any leftover codes to people. But yes they stopped selling codes. NASAMan 10-13-2006, 12:42 PM Do they even sell the golden ears at Disney any more? I thought they were for the 50th celebration only. No, Neo, no more gold ears. What I did spot was what might be called 'Dream Ears'. They are a sky blue with cap white clouds and white ears (if I remember correctly). I've heard mixed reports about there still being Gold Ear Code Cards available - it might depend on the cast member who serves you. Remember at WDW they are only at the Chapeau on Town Square (although I bought a Pirate hat at POTC and asked very nicely at the Chapeau and got a card - that was in August). My hope is the new 'merchandise cards' will include sky blue 'Dream Ears'! Oranges 10-13-2006, 01:37 PM No, Neo, no more gold ears. What I did spot was what might be called 'Dream Ears'. My hope is the new 'merchandise cards' will include sky blue 'Dream Ears'! Gold Ears cards are still available, but you have to sweet talk the Cast Member. There's no signs in the Chapeau that state "Buy a Hat, Get a Virtual One free!" anymore, but they still have some cards in their little drawer. And yes, NASA, those "Dream Ears" would look great in VMK, but some the Testers already have blue ears... ~Oranges AdventureAlex 10-13-2006, 02:56 PM I'm so happy!! Thanks for the info!! But I have one question, like what stands can you buy them at? Thanks! :) AdventureGirlGo 10-13-2006, 08:12 PM Do they even sell the golden ears at Disney any more? I'd like to know if the GOLDEN MICKEY EARS are rarer than the witch hat. Please help! The Witch hat would be rarer, as it was only available for a week, while the Golden Ears have been around since the beginning. |
