Prologue:
"You can trust me!" Jaden said. "Look, I can't trust anyone now!" Taylor screamed. "Taylor stop it! Just tell me!" Jaden said. "No!" Taylor yelled. "Why are you doing this?!" Jaden said. "Because, I'm never making that same mistake again, Jaden!" Taylor yelled. "Just tell me what happened!" Jaden yelled beginning to get steamed. "I can't! I can't trust you or anyone!" Taylor said. Taylor slammed her locker shut and walked out of the building. A note gently fell to the floor. Jaden picked it up, put it in his pocket, and walked home.
Chapter 1 ~Science=Mayhem~
2 Months Before:
Jaden walked into Science and sat next to his friend, Collin. Jaden opened his backpack and pulled out his binder. He looked up and glance at Taylor. She was one of those girls who was beautiful, smart, popular, you know, Cheerleader status. Jaden didn't like her that way but, they were close friends. "Okay class, pair up with your partners and finish your sinking water clocks," Mrs.Migg said. Jaden walked over to the sink with Taylor. "Hey Jaden, okay so...” Taylor began. She rambled on about the weights and how many we should put in. "Ready?" She asked. I nodded and began placing 5 small ones into the little boat. "I heard you broke up with Jake," Jaden said softly as he set the timer. The boat was supposed to hit the bottom at 2 Minutes. "Yeah, he just, well he wasn't my type I guess," Taylor said. "That's cool, I guess," Jaden said. Jaden looked over at the other groups then at Taylor. "So, who do you like?" She asked. "Not telling," Jaden grinned. "Ugh, you’re so meaning," Taylor said giving him a playful punch. "Can you go get some paper towels?" Jaden said pointing across the room. "Sure," Taylor said walking across the room. At the same time Collin was carrying a tube of water. In a split second it happened, Andrew tripped Collin and the water spilled everywhere, and Collen smacked his head on the cold ground. Taylor slipped on the water and slid into a desk and banged her head. "Taylor! Collin!" They all screamed. They all ran towards them. Jaden slipped as well and flew over Taylor hit his head on the counter. At the 2 minute mark, Collin, Taylor, and Jaden were lying knocked out on the floor and Taylor and Jaden's boat sunk.
Chapter 2 ~The Nurses Office~
Jaden awoke on a soft cushion. His head was on a Halloween pillow. Jaden looked around and saw an ice pack on his knee. It hurt to move but Jaden turned around. A curtain was blocking the bed. Jaden looked at his watch. It was 12:30. It was now two hours after science. Jaden slowly pushed the curtain away; a giant light coming from the window shinned right in his eyes. Jaden quickly got up and looked around. The nurse was still on lunch break. Jaden walked over to another bed. Jaden softly pushed the curtain out of way reveling Taylor's sleeping face. Jaden let her be and sat on the edge of his bed. "Are you alright?" Jaden heard. Jaden looked around and saw Taylor in front of him. "I guess, but my knees really hurt; are you okay?" Jaden asked. Taylor nodded "My head sure does hurt though." Jaden gave a small smile. "When do you think the nurse will be back?" Jaden asked. "Around 1, that's when she usually gets back," Taylor smiled. Jaden nodded softly and looked over to the third bed. "Is Collin okay?" Jaden asked. "He left, about an hour ago. I heard the door close but the Nurse was still in the room," Taylor said. Suddenly the door unlocked and Mrs. Key walked in. "I see you two are feeling better, I just need to fill out a pass and you can go to your 5th period class, I believe you both have gym. Are you up for it?" Mrs. Key said. Taylor looked at Jaden and nodded. "Well alright," Mrs. Key said handing them two passes. "Thank you," The both said as they walked out the door. "I have to go to my locker," Taylor said walking over to the dark red lockers. "Same," Jaden said. Jaden's was down another hallway so he waved to Taylor and continued towards his locker. Jaden put his binders away and zipped his backpack. Jaden turned down the hallway Taylor's locker was on. Taylor had already left but there was a small piece of paper on the ground. Jaden bent over and picked it up. He began reading it and his eyes got wide.
Chapter 3 ~Last Man Left, One Girl Gone~
Jaden quickly ran into the gym. "JADEN TEAM TWO NOW!" The gym theacher yelled. "Fine," Jaden mummbled running over next to Taylor. "I found the note," Jaden said catching a ball. "Kate," Jaden said bringing in his teammate. "What note?" Taylor ask dodging a ball. "About going to a different school!" Jaden said as he dodged a ball wizzing towards his head. "Oh.." Taylor said quietly. Suddenly three balls knocked out the remaining members. "Jaden, Taylor PAY ATTENTION!" Their teammates yelled. Taylor quickly ran out of the way of another ball. "Why are you leaving Thomas Middle School?" Jaden said. "Jaden!" Taylor said as she threw a ball to him. Jaden blocked a incoming ball. "Thanks...Now answer my question," Jaden said running to get a ball. Jaden threw the ball and got another person out. "Just...because," Taylor said getting another person out. "Seriously, tell me," Jaden said as another ball came their way. Taylor dodged it and threw it at Tom, it hit him in the legs and he was out. "I'm not telling you, I don't trust you," Taylor said. "What?" Jaden said dodging another ball. "I can't tell you, not yet," Taylor said. A ball came wizing at Taylor and it hit her. "Oww!" Taylor said rubbing her arm. Taylor slowly walked over to the bench. Taylor looked up and shook her head. Jaden didn't understand. Another ball was thrown and it hit Jaden. Jaden shook his head and walked over to the bench. Then, the bell rang. Jaden tried to follow Taylor but she had already left. Jaden went to his locker and found a note when he opened it. "Goodbye" Jaden read. The note was typed. No name at the bottom. "Dude, did you get a note like this?" Collin asked showing him the same note. "Yeah, same one..." Jaden said. Then it hit Jaden. The note was from Taylor.
Chapter 4 ~Missing In Action~
The next day after homeroom Jaden headed to Math, it was his first class with Taylor. Jaden took his seat and began copying down his homework, the bell rang. No Taylor. The door slowly opened, Jadne was waiting to see Taylor's face, but it wasn't her. A tall girl with long black hair and black make-up on walked into the room. "I would like you all to welcome our new student, Vanessa," Mrs.Poats said. Vanessa placed her books on the desk next to Jaden. "Doesn' Taylor sit here?" Jaden asked Mrs.Poats. "Taylor changed classes," Mrs.Poats said quickly. "Got a problem with me?" Vanessa asked sitting down. "No..." Jaden said. Mrs.Poast gave us a page to work on. "So if 1/2 equals 3/6 then.." Jaden stopped at the sound of Vanessa's voice. "I didn't say I needed help," Vanessa spat as she wrote the answer done. "I never said you did, I though we should work together.." Jaden said looking at her answer. "Just copy my answers and don't talk to me untill I give you my sign of aproval," Vanessa said turning away from Jaden. "Okay.." Jaden said finishing the problem. The bell rang after a whole twenty minutes of no talking between him and Vanessa. Jaden hurried to Science were he met up with Collin. "Was Taylor in English?" Jaden asked. "No..." Collin said. "Matt was she in S.S.?" Jaden asked. "Nah," Matt said. "Taylors missing.." Jaden said. "Dude, relax, she's probably sick," Collin said walking into Science. "Vanessa again?" Alica groaned as Vanessa sat down next to her. "Got a problem?!" Vanessa shouted. Jaden shook his head. "Yeah, just sick..." Jaden whispered. But Taylor wasn't sick, a month later, Taylor hadn't been seen since dodgeball.
