That person definetely deserved the pin, and the person was a nice player for situations like playing hide and seek. Awesome, it just shows how simple things like helping others get to the top of Tom Sawyer Island can result in a reward, even without the pin, it's a reward in itself. Like, since I've joined, I've only seen hosts two times, and one of them was in a host room.... I think that only a limited amount of people will be able to recieve this award like this when there are other people that completely deserve this award (and no, I'm not trying to sound offending; sorry if I do). There are some people that I often see devoting their time to helping new members. I often see the same people in the elplanade when I drop in for a random visit to see if the people are getting along well. I really think those people should get an award like that. Shouldn't we all be nice to each other and help each other without trying to get rewarded for it? The reward pin is just a nice little bonus for someone who is observed making a little extra effort. It should not be treated as an incentive to be nice. Be nice regardless of the existence of this pin. (Oh, and you might not ever see VMK staff, but that doesn't mean they don't see you. They have powers beyond those of us mere mortals.) |
