Introduction: A 4th grader is at her new year. She's been at that school almost her whole Elemantary with her mom as the school's manager. But what happens when she and her mom leave the school to go live in Texas?

Chapter 1: The New Day
Crystal was at school working on her homework that she didn't finish the other day.
Crystal: Why does science and Social Studies have to be so hard?
Her mom heard her and she talked to her.
Mom: Crystal, it isn't hard. You are the one that's making it hard. Then her mom ran to go pick up th phone.
Crystal: ugh... She wrote down all she knew and then it got her.
Crystal: Yes!! now I know what they actually mean! She was so excited she jumped out of her chair and hit the cabnits.
Mom: Crystal, what was that?
Crystal: Nothing mom!! Just then the school janitor opened the gates and let the kids in.
Crystal: bye mom. She said as she kissed her mom. Then she ran out and sat on the lunch benches. Her friend Lily arrived and greeted her.
Lily: Did your mom give you work over the Summer?
Crystal: yeah. But I already finished it. Just then the bell rang.
Lily: I think we're in the same class. Where's Chris and Tony?
Chris and Tony came running in.
Tony: Shoot! I'm not in your class you guys.
Lily: Hah! Us three are in the same class. And we're advanced!!
Abby came running in through the gate.
Abby: Oh my gosh! We're all in the same class?
Crystal: All except Tony.. Everybody started laughing.
Just then the "School Starts Bell" rung.
Yard Person: ok! Everbody find your line and line up!
They all got in line and waited for their teacher. Then the teacher came.
Teacher: ok. First things first. We line up from shortest to tallest.
So everyone tried to measure each other's size till they got it perfect.
Teacher: ok! Good job now let's go into the class.

Chapter 2: The Cafeteria Application
It was the second day and Crystal and Abby went to get their lunch in the cafeteria. Just then they heard a kid say Yes! I got the application!
Abby: What's all this about?
Crystal: We'll see when we get our lunch and speak to the cafeteria manager.
They got their lunch and then saw a cafeteria application stack.
Crystal: Hi, is there still some applications?
Cafeteria Manager: Yes there is. Is this just for you?
Crystal: No, It's for me and my friend.
Cafeteria Manager: Ok then here's two. He gave Crystal one and she gave one to Abby.
Abby: yay!! I can't wait till we start! They took their lunch and went to sit at the lunch benches.
Crystal: I thought you needed to be in 5th Grade to work in the cafeteria!
Abby: Yeah, but we pulled it off!
Lily: What did you pull off?
Crystal: uh, nothing..
Lily: Right.. So anyway, do you know what you're going to be for Halloween.
Abby: i was thinking I would be the same as last year.
Crystal: You mean a fairy?
Abby: maybe.
Lily: I was thinking of being a princess of darkness..
Abby: Crystal, what are you going to be?
Crystal: I was thinking Belle but I might not because we need to save money for our house in Texas.
Lily: That is so sad. You can't stay for one more year?
Abby: Yeah! Stay for one more year, and then you can go!
Crystal: No, my Dad is already in Texas with his new job. We are only staying for two or three months.
Lily: You need just one more year!
Crystal: Well, we can't our house is already being built and the base is already on.
Then she walked to the trash cans and threw out her trash.
Crystal: I really wish I could stay but I really do miss my Dad.
Then the Lunch Bell rang.
