So many people dont like the VMK homepage right? So why dont you make your own in a fun contest? Well if you want to here are all the rules and guidlines below! Make sure to read them all!

Rules:

Only ONE Homepage per person.
You CANT make fun of anyone or take their ideas!
You must follow the steps below to get in!


What YOU need to do:

Create a homepage by using Paintshop, Paint, Artpad, anything you want!
You can also make a new website with those free website things with working links!
You can also make working likes on Paintshop like they do in some signatures!
After you are DONE your homepage post the LINK on a NEW POST!


What you need in your FINAL POST:

You need the LINK to your website or from a hosting site! Make sure the buttons work if you have them!
A paragraph or so about your homepage. How it works and where is everything?
Then, a paragraph on WHY VMK should choose this as their homepage.



What you need in your HOMEPAGE:

It needs a Front Page where are the links or information are at.
It needs a NEWS section
It needs a poll section
It needs a How To Play VMK guide with tips and tricks.
It needs a new button to go to VMK Log in screen!
It needs a Best Game/Guest Room/Quest room award part.
It needs anything else you can THINK OF!

Well i used paint to set up all the colors and stuff.

I am using Paint Shop Pro XI to do mine. You can just use whatever drawing program you have to create shapes and text on your page to make it look nice. Then add pictures!

Where it says "Happy Halloween" would be the space for any announcements. The banner would be the link to the calendar, showing an event or two for that day. The Play Now box would be, of course, the link to play VMK. The bar would show events for that day, the time and the room it is located in. You can click the arrow to show the next event. Under that are three boxes. The first is like the "ad" for the newsletter that the Homepage always had. The middle shows some of the room awards for that week. The last has high scores for a random game.

Pretty much self explanatory. There would be more sections if there were more in the newsletter. And of course a navigational bar, but I wanted them all the same size, so I didn't have room for the bar.

Also mostly self explanatory. There could possibly be two winners, but once again, lack of space. The Navigation bar would have links to all aspects of the site. That's pretty much it.

TIP:
If you are making a navigation and need a professional looking way of doing it, you can add seperators. | They look like this | and are usually used in Navigational bars to separate links. | It looks nice if you put a space on either side of them | Example:

| Home | My Stuff | Calendar | Food |

etc. To put this bar in, hold down shift and press the button right above Enter. It has a backslash and a straight line, or sometimes a straight line with a small break in the middle. Either way it comes out with no break. ;)

Save your image. Go to an uploading site such as imageshack or photobucket. Upload your image and then copy the URL. On the post, click the Image button and paste your URL.
