This morning Host_Phinny came into the Haunted Mansion and annouced the DC bug is finally fixed but there still will be problems with ppl's connections. THank you VMK and just was logged on for 3 hours and 35 minutes and my browser quit on me.


Attention! So no one says this post is not true. Here are 2 ways you can still DC.

1.) If your computer has too slow of a connection and when you try to log on you will recieve an error message and the game would look weird. So VMK is programed to DC you automatically. This happens every 100th person.


2.) We will all recieve the White Crash window still if your computer can't comprehend the amount of data coming in and just gives in.

But I'd like to just say something. I've been freezing up a whole lot today, and I've crashed many times. So, instead of getting DC, I'm crashing, lol. And no, it's not my connection. I recently just got high speed internet. (WOOT!)

I had to laugh because as I was reading this thread my VMk game crashed lol

I would rather have crashes that occur every now and then then disconnection every thirty minutes. Thank you VMK for fixing this bug. Now, we can enjoy our VMK experience much better than before. :-D

I have been getting the white-box Shockwave crashes all the time instead of dc. So it's six of one, a half-dozen of the other... *sigh*

The reason why your getting DC when you log on is because a file error had occured when u log on and VMK is programmed to automatically dc you. Other reasons for dc like that white box, have to do with a connection error and not do with dc. And to a response of ppl saying they are still getting dc, it has to do with either inactivity (yes that countdown window does appear) or connection errors.

I noticed that got fixed though - I forgot I was in a staff line, and when I brought the browser up 20 minutes later I was still in line, like on 3rd place, and I figured I had DCed. But nope. :Embar:

uh... some of you DC or Crash because of your connection, your internet can sometimes shut and go back up.

you should never let the game pick the room for your music game.... I've been on almost every morning for the last 2 weeks... 2 & 3 hours before a DC would sneek around.... But mid day, when the hosts start their "events".... seems to be back to "almost not so bad"...

Rooms that took a little time to load, seem to be taking longer, but better that then re-log-in over and over.

It also seems like more of a load on my CPU... Hyper Space won't run right if I don't shut down Yahoo Widgets ( only run a few small ones too)- It felt sooo much the same, the last pirate game I was in. Laaaggg...

But I am the King of DC. :sadd2: What am I supposed to do now? I can't believe this. I'm so sad now. Why VMK WHY!?!

Aka, I was always DC. Then, when i logged back in, VMK Crashed. But, I stayed on for about 3 hours and no DC!

at least DC is half way gonee we now just have to watch out for crashing and internet connection stuff..

Once again this is a connection issue and nothing to do with VMK. If your server is too slow to log on to VMK an error occurs and VMK dc automatically. This has nothing to do with dc in the game
