View Full Version : Vmk CD
Schmoofy 09-27-2006, 12:43 AM 3) Will a CD ever be for sale (or a special prize) that has every music track in VMK
- If there was how many would be interested in buying it?
A quote from Yavn in the latest "Ask Yavn (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78630)".
The question is simple, exactly what was stated-
If there was how many would be interested in buying it?
Would you be interested?
atlast787 09-27-2006, 12:50 AM Maybe I'd buy it, but my parents will probably won't let me :(
ChrisR 09-27-2006, 12:50 AM yes. i'd hear tomorrowland anyday. and blast in space theme too. ;)
CrazyAlly 09-27-2006, 12:51 AM I would probably buy it, I don't know.
mickeymouse2818 09-27-2006, 12:55 AM well, most of the music that plays in vmk are mixes from other disney park or movie sounds. for example in one of the fireworks song, is the beginning part of "a dream is a wish your heart makes". i would buy the CD too, since i am a big disney music collector, 585 songs and counting :)
Wendot 09-27-2006, 01:10 AM Depends. Will these CD have longer versions of the VMK music or just the same snippets that are on repeat when you're in a room? There are definitely nice tunes in the game, but I think a CD makes more sense if each "song" is longer than 15 seconds.
of course id buy it as long as it has longer songs
Princessbel 09-27-2006, 01:14 AM hmmm i guess it Depends...not sure maybe
- Princess :D
Thenishall 09-27-2006, 01:18 AM I would probably buy it, and hopefully they would add some code in with it. :)
futuremartymcfly 09-27-2006, 03:41 PM I wouldn't. Most of the music that would be available is actually already available somewhere else, and really wouldn't be worth it.
I'm sure though they would be the full version of each song, like the Dungeon, (Aka, Night on Bald Mountain, available through the Fantasia soundtrack) runs at about 10 minutes long.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I don't even know if they can release a cd because of copyrights. They can't go ahead and release Hans Zimmer composed music without complications from Remote Control, and Disney studios, especially since I doubt any of the songs have been performed by a different group.
Pinkdust 09-27-2006, 03:51 PM That would be pretty cool XD Shows what a VMK freak I am :p
It also depends on the price.. and how long the songs are, like Wendot said. But it sounds pretty schweet!

Yes, the full versions of each song would be nice. It could be downloadable for a cheaper price...or bought as a tangible CD(s) for a bit more.
I think an included code would help as well. Now, if VMK starts to sell merchandise, they will make more money! (I know I said they should do this in a number of threads)
Trust me, VMK..you want to get as much attention as you can and this would be ONE way to do it.
Eviie 09-27-2006, 04:07 PM I would. Just if it's like 30$ i wouldnt because thats a waste for songs that last sometimes even less than 15 seconds. I would think a reasonable price would be... lets say 14.95? And it should have some of the classic songs on VMK. I really do love the pirates music,Tiki music,Jungle cruise. And so on. I think it would be very exciting and would cause a little boost for VMK. And with the money they would make how about using the money to invest on something that will cause... less dc'ing? ;)
StitchMad 09-27-2006, 04:26 PM I'd probably buy it. If it was something like $8.00.
"Buy yours now from VMK central in WDW or DLR!"
Hehe, that would be cool.

Unforatanetly, since this would be a multi-disc compilation, thats going to require purchasing the rights for the music, I'm afraid its going to cost alot more then $8.00.
levity 09-27-2006, 06:02 PM Way to ruin our fun mr. Lookey me, I went in a time machine :D JK Future, but I wouldn't buy bc 1) i'm saving up for a wii + games and 2) There's an actual chance this time to have Kingdom Hearts 2: Final mix in america, so I would rather buy that then something I could get off itunes just with a little searching...

but if the majority of the music is disney music from parks and or movies, disney may already have the rights to songs. if this is a more than 1 CD, we can expect the price of it to be below $15.00, a two CD set will cost a bit more.
technogirl 09-28-2006, 06:27 AM Probably, but depends on the price.
