Recently, I was taking a look at all the new costumes coming out and noticed that someone had made an estimate regarding how much all these costumes will cost.
Then I began to think about the available mini-games VMK has to offer. Clearly, Jungle Cruise Photo Safari game has to be the most unprofitable as it (generally) gives you 20 credits which doesn't make up for the time spent playing.
You then have Music Mix game which garners a standard 25 credits (50 credits if you count going into the separate area to save a mix).
The newly revamped Pirates of the Caribbean game, while entertaining, really is a mixed bag. First off, it's the only mini-game that actually costs you credits to play which I'm NOT fond of. And then, if you're up against better players or just not having a good day, you could potentially end up earning less credits than it cost you to "buy into" the game. Yavn and staff may have realized this which is why they will be coming out with the single use treasure chest keys, but that discussion is for another thread.
Fireworks is a very quirky game. If you quit after (I believe) Level 2, you automatically get 150 credits, which isn't bad if you're in a hurry. I'm not sure what the breakdown is when you reach Level 5 (since I usually don't play Fireworks), but I remember it has some strange credit distribution for the top players at the end of the game.
If anyone knows how many credits you get for simply making it to Level 5, please post below and I'll attempt to update this post.
Which brings me to the Haunted Mansion Ghost Chasers mini-game. No matter how I look at it, this appears to be the best game for profitability considering the time spent. Again, you have to be a somewhat decent player in order to get a good credit return on your invested time, but typically, I average several hundred credits. There are also those mystery bonuses (which Pirates and maybe Fireworks have as well) which can increase your earned credits even more.
So, with that being said and with Halloween (and many new costumes coming out soon), what's your favorite mini-ame for earning credits?
