View Full Version : A newer person's perspective of VMK (a response) doodles 09-25-2006, 11:10 AM xxclosedxx PrincessWall 09-25-2006, 12:21 PM See, if all newer people were like you, we'd have a wonderful kingdom. Lots of newer people dont take time to learn the rules and just go around being mean. Sorry, I haven't time to give a big long post ;) gigarichard 09-25-2006, 12:51 PM Lots of newer people dont take time to learn the rules and just go around being mean. Ah and here is where the problem is. WE should try to start thinking of others and how you were when you first played the game. As people being humans we learn and do what we see and hear. If the first people they see are acting in some way that makes the game lose it's magic then they will act like that. Or I think if people took the time to appreciate the beauty of the game and not just obtain items, they would see how much the staff and Disney has done for us and give them some respect as to following the proper rules and helping new and old players. sunnyskye 09-25-2006, 01:37 PM Maybe if every player, new or experienced, could go to the esplanade and welcome guests, vmk would be a lot better. Tattooine 09-25-2006, 02:14 PM I too am new to VMK, less than 3 months, and tend to agree with being used to the disconnects. I also have just come to expect them, and usually time it out so I can dc myself before it happens. I have made a few really good friends in VMK, ones that I look for everytime I log in, just to say hi. or send a message if they are not on to say hi as well. I find myself sitting around talking to ppl more than I play games, do quests or anything else really. VMK is a great place! I have made my way to the Entry Gate several times just to find a guest and help them with the things I wish I would have known my first day, IE finding NPCs, credits, where to find quests, and where you can shop. Makes me feel a bit better everytime, I have even given them some buyable, just to help them understand the trade screen. :) I do tend to disagree when it comes to a newbie not being able to have "rare" or retired. I also tend not to wear my "friend magnet" clothing or pins when I am just walking around to avoid the hassle, of no I am not trading it. I have worked to do as many quests, both player and host created in order to help my offers on items I was not around to buy or win. I also work hard to get into as many host games as I can. This has helped me get my costumes, and make some great friends. Any new player can get basically what they want, as long as they stay focused, don't get frustrated, and spend some time. (with some VERY small exceptions, green flips, bag pants, and ERB) but as stated before sometimes you can't base your fun on those things. :) targ 09-25-2006, 02:26 PM well i have been playing since almost beta probablly the day after it anyway i go to the espalande alot and just help ppl and if i have mulitples of pins i just give 1 to them |
