What do you like better?

Algebra or Geometry? (Pretty much asking: Numbers or Shapes?)

I choose Geometry because Algebra was way too easy for me. I'm past Geometry now and liking the higher levels of math.

Geometry is definitely better for me.

I chose Algerbra, because I prefer variable math more then spatial math.

Geometry, since I'm only in 6th grade and there's no algebra yet.

i took algebra last year now its geometry then next year its algebra 2. idk why its this way

I always liked geometry, not so much for the shapes as for the proofs.

Algebra is easier I think kinda like mini puzzles and shapes is just boring and learning how to find its degrees...

i perfer algebra over geo anytime!! lol i am a lot better in it than geo...don't know why but i didn't like all the shapes and formulas

With geometry, you can actually see your calculations mean something. Algebra's all abstract. Who cares what x is? But the size of an angle? That's something I can understand!

Yeah Neoteny, I agree, who really cares what X is. I would rather know what the angle of a polygon is :)

Actually Neoteny, Algebra is 6th grade math where I am, and Geometry is in the 8th grade. ;)

Well, I'm old. When I was in high school we had Geometry.

Yeah, I can imagine, no gifted schools or stuff. ;)

Well, Neoteny, It's all the same, it's just most of the schools where I live are gifted. :)

I'm a genious so I am in Pre-calcilus and in 10th grade. LOL

Dude, this stuff is soo easy:

{ x - 2y + 3z = 12
{ 2x - y - 2z = 5
{ 2x + 2y - z = 4

I'm like -.- in class since it is so simple. Looks hard at first but its not.
Answer: (4, -1, 2)


I like Algebra II not Algebra I. Geometry was extremely easy and fun for me.

hmm.. i like algebra better, although i think both are fairly easy.
i just can't stand geometry and postuates becasue basically its all common sense.
like,
" if the sum of all angles in a triange equal 180 degrees, then an angle of a triangle equals 180 minus the sum of the 2 other angles. "

its all just words that we already knew but we haven't really thought about yet. or maybe we just don't wanna think about it.

like, do we really want to know the circumference of the hole in a donut, or do we just want to eat it for breakfast?
ugh. they just make up all of those word problems to give us something to do with our spare time. haha

(But I like Geometry better ;))

geometry is way more fun, I think. Algebra can be confusing O_o
