After a discussion amongst the moderators it has been decided that answer(s) to the upcoming Push's Trash Trivia Question
WILL NOT BE ALLOWED
in any part of the VMKForums. That includes the Secrets group.

We feel that, unlike quests and other prize-awarding games, that this is a special event that will only award three pins. We feel that the winners of the pins should earn it by knowing the trivia answer or researching the answer themselves rather than just looking up what another has done. This will make the pin more valuable because the winners will have truly earned it.

Good luck to all and thanks for making the VMKforums an enjoyable experience.

Thanks mods, I am very excited this was the descision reached. I agree with you in your thoughts that unlike quests, only certain people are going to win and that these winners should have won by their own knowledge or by dedicated research elsewhere, such as in a Disney book or in the actual parks.

I already know someone is going to quote this post and say "That's not fair, everyone doesn't have a book and can't go to the parks!"

Guess what? I don't have a book and can't go to the parks either. So, please do me a favor and do not go on about how it is not fair. It wouldn't be fair for you to win over someone who either knew it or worked hard, instead of clicking a few links and copying something, would it?

Woot im supporting the mods 100% on this! Im sure Yavn will be glad to hear this. I mean i myself dont have a disney book but a guess wouldnt hurt right? I mean come on what do you have to lose? I mean im not a disney expert but i think i will enjoy researching the answer because i will probably find more interesting facts in my research!

There was mention about this pin being more valuable because the winners would have had to work for it and that this point should also apply to the quests. This is not the place to discuss this issue.

We mods feel that this award is different due to the limited amount of prizes. In quests, anyone can get the prize if they answer correctly, not limited to only three.

Maybe it was a semantic error on my part so I hope that this clears up the confusion.

I think this is a great decision. For the people who no the answer can be rewarded what they earned, and to no that they did not just go to VMKF and get the answers. That will also be good for the people who know disney in and out or who have a book(which is me both). For the people who don't have either of those you can do research on disney if you really needed it that is what they told you to do. Just a little reminder!!

I would like to suggest to Spin (who is looking like the moderator 'in charge' of this topic) that a repository be made to post answers AFTER the opportunity to send in answers has expired. This way players can check if they had the right answer but not be able to enter the contest. Place it in the News section but lock it so only a mod can post the question and then the following week, when the new question appears, the previous question's answer can also be posted (similar to the way they do puzzles in the newspaper). Whatcha think? Is this doable?

I think this is a great idea, and I'd actually suggest we take advantage of the wiki to help do this.

I'm pretty sure Push would include the previous week's answer in the following week's newsletter.

I agree, thanks so much! Now you will know that people earned the pin. This is kind of like Best ____ awards, I wish you could not trade them, because anyone could wear them, and not have the Best ____ award or whatever and not have actually had best room or quest or game.

Oh, I'm sure he would. But I'll second Prisoner's opinion to have a running list of all the questions and answers in the Wiki (if you have not checked out the VMK Wiki you are missing a valuable resource!). Looking forward to the game starting TODAY!

Actually, I believe there are so far only six, not counting staff.

My friend has the pin. Also, the pin picture is on the wiki.

If there are only 6-9 of these pins around then they are very very rare. What would you say a push pin is worth?
(please don't tell me that Staples sells them for $1.99 a box, that joke is well past us)

I have the Best Game Room, Best Guest Room, and Best Quest pins. I still need the VIP and Top Ten pins. And, of course, these two new ones (Gold Star and Push's Trivia). The only tradeable pin I don't have is Inferno.

Even if ill never get on it fair that people that do got it the way they should thanks good buddy

Sadly I can't get these pins or be a community leader since I entered a random birthday when making my character at Disneyland (someone stole my stuff.. :()
