I got an email that someone requested my password for the wiki. I didn't. Someone trying to hack me or cause I've been too tired and sick to log on?

EDIT: What I meant was that I got an email saying "Someone has requested the password to this account. CL_Maribeth's password has been changed to ______" Is this because someone clicked a link on the wiki and said they "forgot" MY password, or do they change it if I do not log on periodically?

Well, you just posted in the wiki forum, so that may be the place to check out what a wiki is. ;)

i agree with Cool-Dolphin.. never, under any circumstances give out your username and password for anything. whoever is asking is most likely trying to hack you.

Most sites warn that no one needs your passwords, not even the admins.

You should never give it to anyone, period. Anything that a moderator or administrator needs to do to your account can be done through their controls, and does not require logging into your account. Email titles, addresses, mail messages can all be spoofed. It is not even safe to give out your information if the sender claims to be an admin/owner. If your password was changed by the site system, you should log back in at the site itself to update your password. Never follow any links directly from an email. Those can be spoofed too.

Your lucky you even HAVE your pass. Someone made me an account "Penguingirl477" and I didn't even get it -_-

Log on and say you forgot your password then. :)
