I have a question. Someone said yesterday in a thread that it was against VMK values to trade room codes. I would really appreciate someone telling me exactly where in the VMK values it says that. I have read the values and can't find it. I really enjoy trading and giving room codes to my friends, but I don't want to be doing anything that is against VMK values.

It is not necessarily against the values, but they can't do anything if you get scammed. >_<

Thanks for the info. I just got back from Disney World and have seven High School Musical (two left over from last time because I don't like the room), three Animal Kingdom and three Pirate Fortress rooms. I now feel better about giving and trading the rooms to my friends. So far I have had no complaints.

Anyways how could staff know?
But yeah it could be 'against the values' because someone can decide if they want to make up a fake code so they can get the better deal of the trade :).

Since there are no in-game mechanics to trade a room you have to share the code outside of VMK. It's against Values to discuss other websites or give out personal information like e-mail or IM addresses within VMK.
So in that regards it could be argued to be against Values.
However if two people happen to meet and arrange the trade outside of VMK there's nothing in the Values that could prevent that.
Of course, as mentioned, there is the potential for scamming during the trade. When doing a room trade, I always insist the code be given first (whether I'm the giver or receiver of said code), if only because sometimes, just sometimes, even a new VMK card will have a bad code.
I myself have both received and given room codes for item trades as well as credit sales. All deals were arranged outside of VMK and the sales done (so far at least, ;) ) successfully in game.
I have never heard of anyone getting in trouble with VMK for doing a room trade. Again, sharing personal/extra-VMK info, yes. But not specifically about the room trade.

It's only agianst the value if it's a fake code. I wish we could have a code tester. That'd be easier. ;)

Just remember though, if you trade on here make sure it is in the right topic. If you decide to trade them on here, I am all ears to any of them.
