I am curious about a program that someone intorduced as a new internet browser. (Not VMKPal, I've been using and continue to use it now with no worries ;))
If someone can explain exactly what to do I'm sure everyone will say "We are eternally grateful" and love ya.
Maybe if I'm not lazy later and can find some time I'll make a pictorial if you don't feel like it and post it on a new thread with credit for whoever for originally showing me.
Thanks,
Maribeth

uh what would you possibly want to do with a packet sniffer. they are used for either troubleshooting a network problem or hacking.

O.o Carioca said people run a packet sniffer to see the info going in and out of a program, like you could see if a program was taking your password or whatever. I don't really know..

I know someone made this program. I want to run VMK on it on a guest account, while running a packet sniffer and I can see if they are taking my password. I'm sure Carioca is busy but I bet Cari would know what I mean.

Packet Sniffers, like aengus mentioned, are meant to troubleshoot network problems, but they can be manipulated for malicious use. If you use one while loading a website for example, it will show you all the connections that site makes to load images, banners, etc. I really don't suggest using one with VMK and I don't see a reason you would need to. Of course VMK would take your password so that you may login ;)
A great resource for all files Windows would be to search CNet, http://www.download.com, and utilize the search terms with what you're looking for.
