Chapter 1
Derek stared at the white walls of his social studies classroom. Derek then looked back down to his test. He had one problem left. He wrote something down as the bell rang he gave it to his teacher and walked out of the room. Derek walked past all the 8th graders and opened his locker. "Hey" Kayla said walking up next to Derek. "Hey Kayla, Seen Alex today?" Derek asked shoving his Social Studies books in his locker. "He said he had to go to math early or something" Kayla said shutting her locker. The janitor Mr.Eirney walked by Kayla and Derek. Derek stared at the keys he had attached to his belt. "Were does that little golden key go to?" Jaden asked. "Some say there is a secret door behind Mr.Trauger's book case in the Social Studies room." Kayla said. "Also some kids say it leads to something big, A secert only Mr.Trauger and Mr.Eirney now about" Kayla added."Well come one lets head home" Derek said shutting his locker. Kayla and Derek put on there backpacks on and walked outside. "Smart kids" Mr.Trauger said from the doorway of his classroom.
