Have you ever been on a ride(at any disney park) when it breaks down? And i'm not talking about the "please excuse the delay" person on the intercom, i'm talking about when you actually had to get out and walk off.

If so, did you see anything interesting? lol

i have and sometimes its fun and sometimes its creepy. for instance breaking down on thunder mountain was fun because we got to walk through halls and places that other people dont see.

Yea i have it was kinda scary too California screamin' broke down at the top when i looked down it was scary but i don't remember if we went through special halls it was quite a while ago

We've had some break down for us though they never had us get off the ride and walk out.

in WDW the dinosuar ride broke down when you started to leave the time of the dino's, but the funny part is that on the sign where it says to take off you seat belt and walk out, is that we couldnt since the seat belts were still locked in place! but evenutally the ride started again

Yup, at least five or six years ago, we stopped at the beginning of the second chain lift during Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We were stuck there in the hot, burning summer sun for a hour before they came and picked us up. Went through the mountain where they hold everything that runs the ride when we were getting out. All really cool.

when i was on thunder mountain when it broke down we were in the cave that 'was about to blow up' and it was kind of funny. unfortunatly my friend and i got front row on the train and we didn't even get to finish the ride.

I got stuck on Jungle Cruise at WDW And Pirates of the Caribbean at DLR!

It was cool! lol On Jungle Cruise:
We were going through the cave and we ran out of Gas!! lol and then we must have been there for 1 hour or 2! we called for help and No one ever came! then they did and they pulled our boat! it was cool! I was staying at a hotel and we got after hours so it was during after hours at night it was scary and I was ******** out! It was dark and we stoped when the tiger was growling! a boat got stuck behind us! and they were telling jokes and most embassasing moments! it was Fun yet scary..lol

PIRATES:
We got stuck on the second drop and then it STOPPED! They Yoho song kept going and everyone was singing and then we were screaming like TURN OFF THE MUSIC! AND SHUT UP! It was funny..lol and then People can and went in the water and PUSHED US! Then we went down and the Music was off and you culd hear like the shooting stuff! It was cool! Then there was a back up of other boats so then they pushed us in the cave thing and we got out of the boat and walked the hall and backlot! It was awesome! we saw people working and stuff! We got a free ride pass (We used it on Splash mountain! @_@)

In HM and Buzz they stop the ride a lot, for handicap purposes, being those rides are constantly moving. I was stopped on Splash Mountain in DLR, got off back way a lot f fun. I have also been behind Main Street which is opened up after holiday fireworks, due to humongous crowds

I Got stuck once.. and gues what one? the Ride with the chairs in california adventure. and we were all the way up..it was kinda creepy.. the ride woulnt move for a hour so all of us started to sing and swing around lol..

You know, now that I think of it, I have NEVER been at WDW on a ride that has broken down, nor seen it. =\ I did at a different park, but that's besides the point.

uh no, but speakin of thundermountain my dad left my jacket on his sholder while going on the ride and i think it flug on to a castus, i think or it went on the ground.. i was like dad.. wheres my jacket?

I have never been to WDW or DL.. so I wouldn't be able to say that I have been on a ride that has broke down.

i've had to get off of test track because it was raining. well i was stuck in the cold room, right underneath a vent. after about 20 to 30 minutes we were escorted off the car and got to see the "backstage" area. it was cool, but not that exciting. the cool part about it was walking though the cutouts of the scenery.

Well, I've never broken down and had to get off that I can remeber. But I once went to DLP and rode the brand new Buzz Lightyear. We broke down like twice, and I was like the only person to realize you could still score points. XD. I was also the last person to ride Test Track, because it started to rain on my school's Epcot field trip. But a friend of mine did get to go back stage, and they showed her how everything worked. And of course, Spaceship Earth stopped like 5 times once when I went on it.The only backstage place I've been to is on the Disney Magic, since I became friends with all the photographers and the people in the costumes (it's always the same people, i.e. It's always the same guy dressed as Mickey), so I went backstage to where they set up the costumes and such. Nothing much.

Sometimes when Space Mountain brakes down you can ride TTA and the ride goes through Space Mountain-- you can see SP with the lights on!
One in a million chance though ;)

ANYWAYS! I remember our last trip to Walt Disney World my dad and I, along with a bunch of other people, had to walk around the back of The Magic Kingdom where all of the castmembers were. They had alot of trucks and a plain road-- oh my goodness people were sneaking and taking pictures like crazy!!!
They also had a sign with the seven drarves, "The Disney Values on how to treat our guests"
It was funny and exciting! I wish my mom was there with us to see it! :D

OH AND THE BEST OF THEM ALL!
My momma, my dad and I went to WDW (I was so young) and we rode Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Well my mom dropped her jacket AND her water bottle and she wisperd to my dad "Oh my gosh I dropped it help...". Too late. The lights came on and a voice on the loudspeaker came on saying that the ride broke down (all because of a stupid jacket and cheap water bottle!!!! :D) I was about six and I was crying my little eyes out because I thought we were going to jail! LOL, so my dad carried me out and he and Momma appologized to the ride operator.
When I wasn't crying I say that everything was white and Zurg-- and the little things you need to shoot looked like they were made out of cardboard lol.

I've never had to get off a ride because it was broken, but I've had to wait plenty of times. On Test Track, nearly every other time I ride it breaks down! :eek: Once, Spaceship Earth broke down three times in one ride! Two were in interesting places so it was okay, but once it broke in the middle of the Rome area with the burning-ham smoke smell! Which I hate...

In DLR, Buzz Lightyear broke down for about 10 minutes. My dad and I could turn the car a certain way so that we could shoot a target and keep getting points; the target would give 100 points each time and we had over 800,000 points each, then the scores reset, then we moved about 1 foot then it broke again. 500,000 points later the scores reset and we moved.

At WDW For some reason my family is cursed bc everytime we ride something it breaks down . We have never had to get off though it usally started back up in a few minutes.

Buzz Lighter: Ok this ride needs some major renovation. It is constantly stoping. Did you notice that every once in a while the animatronic buzz mess's up. It's pretty funny.

POTC: We got stuck on this one a few times. And all the boats ended backing up. It was pretty funny. But the song was stuck in my head all day.

Splash Mountian: This one was awful. You know the big hill you go up before the big drop. We'll we got stuck on this. NOT FUN!! THe stupid vultures Starting saying: We are sorry but the ride has broken down please remain seated. Over and OVer again AHHH!!! So annyoing! WE were stuck there for thirty minutes. Also on this one if you watch carefully some of te animatronics. Are messed up. Some are pretty funny.

Big Thunder Mountian: WE got stuck at the front on this one. when you first start, We were there FROEVER!!

Well I have plenty of more stories but it would take to long . SO this are the best ones.

we are lucky and have only been on a ride thats broke down once and it was BTM at the end we got stuck there around the part where you reenter the station at the end

I've never had to get off, but I have been stuck in Test Track many many times. And once Space Mountain broke down right when we got onto the ride.

However, in Busch Gardens, I've seen the Scorpion break down three times in one day, which forced people to actually walk down the stairs next the chain link lift.

ok if you hate rides that break down to much then dont ride greezed lightning at six flags kentucky kingdom they built it about two to three years ago and everytime my dad goes to ride it its always broke down

Test Track (happened about 3 years ago):
It was the part where theyre saying 20%,30%, etc. Only instead of going faster we were going slower. And the, finally, we stopped. He had to wait there for about 1 hour & 1/2, Then we went out this underground exit. It was pretty awesome!


Pirates Of The Caribbean (happened 6 months ago):

Well I'm sure most of you have heard about the "Gourge is'nt real" story on POTC. (If not google it! :D) Anyways, me and my friend both chanted the whole ride "Gourge is'nt real!" Then at teh battle scene... teh ride stopped. Totally shut down. A couple of lights were still on but it was still really creepy!! :eek: :eek:

My husband and 5-year-old daughter were on an incline in Space Mountain when it stopped. Eventually the lights were turned on and they had to walk down "a million" stairs. I think they enjoyed really getting to see the coaster.

Oh i have lots , heres 1 :

we broke down on splash mountain and had to climb some sairs then went to the outside backlot wich was pretty interesting.

Lets see, I got stuck on the top of the "C lift" on Space Mountain. It was really cool to be able to look out at all the track and to see the silly disco balls that made the stars on the walls. This was several years ago before the rehab.
I've been stuck on the Jungle Cruise several times, everything from derailed boats, to bamboo in the river. When we de-railed they had us climb out of our boat and into another one. Kinda fun to be allowed to climb out the window on the boat.
Not at exciting but I got stuck on California Screaming at the launch section. We sat there a while, then walked back to the station.
These happened at the happiest place on earth, (Disneyland of corse)

Let's see. I was broke down in the top of the epcot ball ride at the top and had to walk down. I was stuck upside down in rockin roller coaster. Ads the ride stopped when it goes down in tower of terror.

I've had a few break down experiences, but I can only remember the two most recent. In Disneyland, HM broke down in the graveyard, I was stuck for a while leaning backwards in the Doombuggy facing the raven, and it was pretty comfy, and I was thinking, I could hang out here for hours! :D

The other was on the ride loading platform in WDW Space Mountain. Not very interesting, but they had to turn the lights on. Wow. Talk about taking the mystery out it! I also have vague memories of DLR Space Mountain being shut down and we were all taken off the ride, but I don't remember seeing anything of interest.

and so many people have seen space mountian when the lights are on! i'm a little jealous :) next time i go to DLR i'll have to bring a camera so i can capture the mysterious things people usually dont see.

Two shots: All Clear
Three shots: Can not proceed, ie path blocked, stalled boat, etc.
Four shots: Civil or Medical emergency, all boats procede back to the dock.
Six shots: Derail

On a side note, it is not possible to derail at the Jungle Cruise in WDW

Splash Mountain twice
Test Track three or four
Pirates too many
Haunted Mansion too many

i actually broke down on BTM just recently.... I was in the first car and almost at the highest point on the second lift hill... it as pretty sweet walking through some of the caves and seeing the bat eyes were just little blinkers

i got stuck on Splash Mountain two or three boats away from the loading dock and they still took us around back. It was kind of scary seeing Brer Rabit moving around without and sound to him

A couple of years back at Disneyland we were one of the last few people to go on the Haunted Mansion. The stretching room elevator got stuck and we went in reverse! It was the incrediable shrinking room..I wish I had a movie camera then...my sister and I were laughing about how weird that felt.

Oh i broke down on space mountain the lights turn on and you see the track!!

I have been evacuated off of 2 rides at DLR, the Roger Rabbit thing in Toontown, and the Monsters Inc thing at DCA.

At WDW, I got stuck on Pirates, we sat in the boat for an hour!
They eventually turned the main song off, and you could just hear some background singing.Most of the noise was coming from the pirates.
They turned the work lights on, and you could see a bunch of Cast Members walking around .
That was cool, they talked about getting us to walk out of the ride, through a bridge , but they didnt do it. We waited an hour, and then they just pushed the boats out somehow.
This is very funny to my family, because we had just seen Jurassic Park, the night before, in the theater. There is a line in the Movie about "When the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, they dont eat the people" . We laughed about that, the whole time that we were stuck.

I did get stuck on the People mover for 30 minutes, It was freezing cold too!
They got that working.

There have been too many times to count that, the rides have gotten stuck on me.

Here is something to chew on:

One time I was on the carousel when it broke down. It was crazy. We had to climb off our horses and walk out of the gate.

On the car driving ride, my car broke down and I was holding about 10 people behind me up! After I got off, the same thing happened to somebody else. They had to open up the trunk and do something to the engine a few times, but it worked well enough for me to get off.

I don't know if that counts. When we were heading back from AK, a lady on our bus told us that they broke down on Expedition Everest. They had to get off the ride.

Has anyone gotten no waiting in line vouchers?

I was just at WDW and nothing really happend. On the HM ride it stopped us saying something about....ghosts and what not. Then the next time we went on it, it did not stop. So...I really don't know @_@

we were riding space mountain this weekend and the group right before us broke down. they let them ride again but we were really scared since we were up next.

Me and my aunt were the next people in line for this HIGH SPEED upside-down coaster. The ride broke down and everyone HAD to get out of line. Once we got out of line, they fixed it xD

Here is one not from WDW though..

Me and my friend were in line waiting to her on a water coster. This ride breaks down alot. But, we still love it. My parents were at the exit waiting for us. The exit was on the other side, far away from the enter. Then, the ride broke down. It was, I think 2 years ago so we were kinda young. I started to painc a bit while we waited in line. My friend was trying to calm me down, but she was kinda scared to. So, then they asked everyone to get out of line and we did not know what to do. She was wearing flip-flops so she did not want to run. But, so was I. And because this was not Disney, people get stolen all the time. It was still a fun park though. I told her we had to run over to them, and she yelled at me about it. -.- When I ran away from her, she followed though. And I had to keep stopping because she would not move. Then once we got there, we could not find them. And we just stood there till they came back from a food place.

LOL I look back on that, and laugh.

Well, you know Indy gets stuck all the time, heh, there isn't a day it doesn't stop. Sure, I was on it, it stopped, we were at the end when he says "Welcome back". They turned the lights on, unfortunatly, when we were at the end. But no, no one got to get up and walk out.

A joke my family always has is that my mom is cursed. When we are on Haunted Mansion, it always gets stopped because of people with wheelchairs getting on. Recently, it hasn't been stopping though. But I am sure, not that I remember, that we got stopped and walked out.

Now, here is one I DO remember, and I DID walk out:

Grizzly River Run (Rapids?) I don't know what it's called. But the Grizzly ride in DCA, my aunt, sister, and I got stuck. We were merrily going along with our ride, we went down the first drop smoothly, but the second drop, no. There were 3 boats/cars in front of us. I thought they were stopped because they were too close to another car to go down. I was surly wrong. The gates that stop the cars from going down were stuck. My mom hates water rides, so she stayed out with my 2nd cousin, way too young to ride it. After this ride, we were planning to see the fireworks in DLR. Luckily, we brought walkie-talkies and told my mom we were stuck. The funniest thing happened when we were waiting for them to DRAIN ALL THE WATER OUT! The 2nd boat was yelling at the 1st boat "Hey, get ready! We are going to push you down it! 3...2...1... (Push)" Obviously, the 1st car didn't go down. Then the first car said "Try again". It was amusing to watch. So, they drained all the water out, and got a stoll so we could walk down. We walked down the stool and then went into this hallway, it was outside, but I don't remember it much. We got a fastpass for Indy because it broke down. Thenn we found my mom, got the stoller and ran over to DLR. We got to the fireworks just as Julie Andrews started talking

Test Track: We got to the point where you ram through the wall and you go shooting forward we just broke down right near the door and the door kept trying to close on the front of the car when we finnally were at the point were you go flying around at like 90MPH we were going like 34MPH because we stopped right when it shoots you out

Haunted Mansion: We were in it at the after magic hours only like 4 People in there 4 all my family the other part of my family was back in the spider room we were just in the grave yard the convare belt that pulls the chairs got messed up and it just kept jiggling we were coming down the roof backwards It was jiggling so hard it felt like it was going to flip over

Splash Mountain: We were at the top at the 50ft drop and the lift broke but we got a great view of the park!

POTC: We got stuck at the end and it was annoying because we kept having to hear Jack sing "Pick up me Hearties YoHo!"

It's a small world at the underwater part i went crazy from hearing that song OVER AND OVER!

I was riding a ride called Star Tours at MGM. The robot said let me "I'm going to open the cotpit(sp?) sheild." We sat there and sat there but it never opened. The we heard a wierd sound and the simulator car rested back at starting point. The doors open and some lady was like "The robot messed up your car so follow me to another one." It was so funny.

I was with my son at DWD waiting to get on the Haunted Mansion ride. He was about 6 at the time. It was his frist trip to WDW. The ride kept stopping and this recording would come on telling people to remain in there seats. It was really scaring my sone. So we decided to take the "chicken" exit and get out of there.That's the exit near the ride's get on point for those who chicken out at the last second. It's a good thing we did because those next people did get stuck in the ride.
He's been on the ride since and loves it.

well this is knotts but here i go.

i was finally brave enough to ride silver bullet. RIGHT when we got in line it broke down. the chain lift was jammed. the guy told everybody to get out. we didn't listen and got a front of the line pass (timber mountain log ride). we even got to be "The testers" of the ride

i just remembered about this time i went to DLR with my sister.

We were in line for the Matterhorn and just as we got up to that part that zigzags, the ride brokedown. There were CMs calling out that it would only be about 10 minutes, so we decided to wait. Meanwhile there was this group of people behind us and they were swearing literally every other word, and i mean like BAd. Usually annoying people like that dont bother me that much, but they were really loud and obnoxious. Then 15 minutes later the CMs say that everyone has to get out of line because it wont open for a while. So my sister and i went over to Space mountain and we got in at the perfect time because the line wasn't that long. After about 3 minutes guess who showed up right behind us...
We decided to leave that line immediately.

ive gotten stoped on HM at WDW almost every time i go and guess what spot we get stuck at the maddam leota ( not sure if i spelled that right ) she kept talking on and on and on and on some people were saying just shut the heck up!! it was quite funny and ive also gotten stuck at its a small world because of how backed up the boats get from getting off so we waited about 30 minutes tops it was kinda relaxing cause i sank down and kinda leaned on my back pack and i could hear the runing like a fountain lol well these are my experiences

Heh... once when I was riding.... oh the name confuzzles me.. but it was the one in California Adventure where the car goes way high in the air and then drops you... yes that one..... it stopped in mid-fall. We were there for like... I dunno.... 15-30 minutes... it was horrifying for me because I'm terrified of heights!! 0_0

Indiana Jones:

We got stuck right before the part where the skeletons shoot you, and the puffs of air make you cold. Didn't move for about 15 minutes. It was kind of creepy.. Then, we went! Yipee!... And got stuck right after. -_-
One of the blowers was right by my head, and kept blowing my hair into my face. Greeat. We finally started moving, again, and got stuck right in front of the boulder! We were there for an hour. Everyone in the car looked up at Indiana, whom was hanging on the rope, and we started talking to him.
The ride is a lot less scary when lights come on and you see the boulder rolling in place. :|. Then, we moved again!! And got stuck in the dark. Couldn't even see my hand in front of my face. Sat there for 15 minutes, and we finally exited the ride. >_<

POTC:
Got stuck a couple times. Once in mid-climb.

Haunted Mansion:

We got stuck a lot! And they had the volume cranked up.. >.< The flowers were like

"LA LA LA LA LA LAAAA!"

I started yelling at them. LOL!

Haha that reminds me of these people in the boat behind us in pirates who would NOT stop taking pictures. I mean seriously a red flash went off avery 10-20 feet, so the Cm's kept on telling them to stop. They would for about 30 seconds, then they'd start up again. It got kind of annoyingly distracting but then over the speaker they said "stop the camerra flash or a pirate may take your camera" they stopped after that. :)



But the parts where they yell at me, i meant like RIGHT before the splash mountain drop, you turn around in your seat, so you go down the drop sitting backwards. Or (this ones kind of really bad so i stopped) in autopia slamming into the person in front of you going down hill and full speed, then giving them a minor wip lash.<jk

At Universal Studios my brother was on Jaws and he just entered the dark warehouse part when his boat broke down so he had to stay there for 2 hours.To make it worse Jaws would pop out of the water every minute or so and after an hour that they finally decided to turn the Jaws's off.

For me i've never been on a broken down ride. The only time a ride has stopped for me was when handi-capped were getting off.

Once when i was on Kali River Rapids, our boat-thing was right under the burning log when it just stopped. My littlest sister was so scared that we'd burn to death lol.

Haunted Mansion always "breaks down" no matter where I am..be it disneyland or florida...so haha that is always funny. but a ride that broke down recently was space mountain. we were superclose to the end in the little room before you actually see the tracks. surprisingly, one of the little doors there was an exit. I never knew!

Guess what i got stuck on the most X- treme ride ever the looper . And i got stuck on a loop for 30 minutes , i know totally Scary!

I broke down on Jungle Cruise and was stuck with corny jokes for three hours! I had to walk across a rope to another boat (I know, scary). They gave me about fifty fastpass' to ANY rides even those that don't use fastpass'. I still have some, it is like a big Dream Fastpass they have now! My friend broke down on Screamin' she said it was really scary though.

They made you tight rope to another boat??

I have had 2 experiances that i have remembered.
well first it was on the haunted mansion we got stuck in the dark bit at the beggining , and we were there for ages. all i could hear was wwwwwelcome to the haunted mansion and me , only being 9 cried for ages! LOL
Second we got stuck in small world. Man when you hear the tune about 10 times its annoying.. LOL

Not at disney, I have only been there once a long time ago, but recently we were on a ride at Six Flags and it was a part where the ride where we were just at the top of a hill at it broke down, it was so scary why I am afraid of heights so we had to sit there for a half an hour!

this wasn't really a break down about three years go,i was on the tomorrowland raceway and the car stalled even though i had my foot on full petal and some Spanish person came over the loud speaker lol. p.s. don't ram into fat ppl lol and later that day they had a problem spiel come over the speaker

On my most recent trip to DLR, we got stuck on the Monorail :( since we were on a turn we sat sideways for about a halfhour.

like the pirates ride in WDW stoped and it was weird and then we were on HM in WDW and this little kid jumped off and started runing around touchthing stuff lol

there was also in Sea World on the Krakin we stop right before we dropped and everyone was tickling us and then it start like out of no ware and every one like pooped them selfs :)

I had to be walked of the Matterhorn Bobsleds a long time ago we got stuck right as you get off the lift, it was very cool the lights came on and you could really see the detail of the ice painted on the walls and not to mention the lost items everywhere ( hats, glasses, etc.) we had to walk down some pretty steep stairs i was afraid to break my neck down those things :) but it all ended well with a free ride pass 8)

There was this one time on splash mountain. the ride stopped while we were at the really top about to go down. I was freaked out because you don't know when you're gonna go down @_@
And the scary music kept playing over and over again lol. And that's the reason why I chicken out at splash mountain now :P

we got stuck at the top of tower of terror and walked down to the other side, but we got to see it with the lights on.

When I went last summer, there were a lot of break downs ;)

*Sound turned off... which kinda makes the whole ride pointless :P

*Sound turned off (again) and lights came on (which was cool, because it gave me an oppertunity to take pictures :))

Small World -
*Our boat stopped, which stopped all of the other boats. We had to get out and walk by where the puppets were. How creepy @_@

Pirates -
*Lights came on/Sound turned off (which, again, gave me the chance to take pics ;))
*Boats stopped... right next to that one pirate that says "Here, kitty, kitty!" (we had to listen to that for about 20-30 minutes. Not fun.

I once got stuck on Thunder Mountain. We didn't have to get off though - I started telling jokes on the ride. I also got stuck on Tower of Terror but again, they did not make us walk off. I did see a scary puppet that was staring right at me... oooh it gives me the shivers

I broke down on test track. It only took about 6 minites to fix it tho.

Got stuck on RNR both times I went on it. First time someone messed with their restraint and second someone wanted to get off. Missed the music the 1st time.

What is RNR?

In WDW i Always got stuck on POTC, they made us "walk the plank." Also, Last year i got stuck on Splash Mountain, We were ABOUT to go down the big drop, so we got stuck at the top the view was really nice, but the funny part, when the ride whent back on, we didnt know when we were going to drop we got a little shock.

RNR, is Rock N Roller Coaster i think.

Well we didn't have to get off but Space Mountain broke down and we were on the Tomorrowland transport authority and it was kinda cool to see space mountain with its lights on, its really big. We also got stuck a few times on Splash mountain, though it was after hours and we were the only ones on there it was funny to hear the critters talk and thier mouths not work lol.

Back in August there was a constant break down in Buzz Lightyear. Every 1-2 minutes you would stop moving, the voice would speak, and everybody would just wait or contstantly shoot the same target. Everybody got a high rank and their patience tested that day.

Once I broke down on Test Track. It took about 30-45 minutes to get us off (we were in the middle of the ride, and the people started at the beginning and end). WE thankfully just escaped the hot/cold chambers, so we weren't burning/freezing. I don't remember anything interesting on the way out though. We just walked a couple feet, went out a door and then we were on somewhere in EPCOT! We did get a free pass thing to come back.

I wasn't so lucky, I got stuck in the hot chamber for about five minutes, then we start moving.... and it breaks down in the corrosive test. That wasn't too fun.

I have been on a ride too many times when it has broken down.
(all of these are at WDW)
1). SOARIN': Me and my family were in the front row in area A. When we were at the Yosemite Valley part, the screen went off, and areas B and C went down below. And guess what? Area A got stuck!! And this was the very top of the ride too. It took them about 25 mintues to get us down. :(

2). Splash Mountain: Twice me and my father have been in the front row when our log got stopped at the very top of Splash Mountain. The first time this happened it took them 35 mintues to get the ride going again. The good part about that time was that Wishes had just started when we were stuck for 5 minutes, so we got to see the fireworks.:) The second time we got stuck for 30 minutes.

3). Test Track: My father and I got stuck on Test Track once for 25 minutes. But because of this, they let us go back on twice without having to go back trough the wait line.

4). On my latest trip to WDW, I went on Expedition:Everest again. When we were about toenter the cave where you see the Yeti, our train got stuck for about 15 minutes.

5). Twilight Zone: For about 15 minutes on my last trip, our elevator got stuck, and we couldn't go anywhere. A lot of girls were in the elevator, so when the elevator finally moved they all screamed so loud, I thought i might have my ears fall off.

6). TTA: My mother and I got stuck for 45 minutes on the TTA, and they finally had to come get us off the track. The problem?? We were in the Space Mountain part, so it was very hard to see where we were going.

Because the ride stopped abruptly.And when we were getting off, I saw a kid, he was bleeding fro mhis head. NOT LIKE OMG, like a little bit. But we all got off. And pirates just stopped.

i got stuck on the jurasic park ride and it was right in the beginning so we got out and some poeple almost fell in the water through the cracks but then we got a pass to go wherever and we didn't have to wait

I got stuck once, when I was 11, I was with my mom on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the train stopped. we had been there for 20 minutes until they fixed the problem and then they made us start over bc of the problem.. a free ride (no line I mean)

I was in DLR about 2 weeks ago, and space mountain broke down twice in a day and like all the fast passes were pretty much closed! =(

On my latest trip to DLR, we broke down on Indiana Jones. Once again it was near the end where we had to get off, so we didn't get to see much. bummer.

Has anyone been on a disney ride where it just stops???

When i rode the haunted mansion ride at WDW the ride stopped were the dude opos out of coffin.. I was scared first time... second time i was like oh hi.. third time it was annoying lol

I really haven't had many techincal difficulties at disney.. oh wait we got stuck in small world i was going to scream my head off cause the song didn't stop lol

We got stuck in mother earth.. I think the persian people? Some old lady had a heart attack. We also were stuck in soarin, the screen stopped. But it was the oranges, they smelt nice! AlohaLiilo, I doubt that. You would probabbly die.

on spaceship earth the ride stopped so we were stuck going down backwards, it was awesome!!!
and on jungle cruise we had to switch boats since it was broken

When I went to DLR for my birthday, the rides were breaking down all over the place, especially Haunted Mansion and Pirates...

Haunted Mansion Breakdowns:
-All the lights turned on, which totally ruins all the fun.
-The music stopped, and you could only hear the meachanical sounds of the animatronics.
-"...please remain seated in your doom buggies..." Bleh.


Pirates Breakdowns:
-Somehow, all the boats got jammed together, and we moved like, every few minutes.
-All the lights turned on, and people took advantage of that by taking pictures. Haha
-All the lights turned OFF and everything was pitch black.

And Small World broke down once (this one's kinda sad :[)
-I guess one of the people that got on our boat was too heavy, and made our boat stop in the middle of the ride :[ I felt really bad for the person!

I remembered when my space mountain (Rockin) ride got stuck when we were ending the video scene of blasting off, and I was stuck with the vehicle facing up, and the lights were on. Some guy in the vehicle behind us said a bad word. We had to walk out, but it's scary when you walk down stairs next to all the giant white video screens

Also I keep hearing the "I'd rather be hoppin then stoppin" from tigger in WDW's pooh ride.

Gosh yes, rofl. Actually a few years ago, I was on Splash Mountain, hanging on the top of the hill, and the ride stopped for five minutes... something got jammed, lol. But no, we didn't have to exit the ride :Tongue:

I got stuck in Indiana Jones. [AGAIN!]

We got stuck in the pitch black room where Indiana is next to the rock, asking if we're ok.
We stood there for almost 2 hours, my cousin was yelling,
"WE DESERVE FREE PIZZA!!!"
Eventually we got off because someone got hurt. The lights kept going on and off while we there too. It was creepy and cool because we saw phones, pens, wallets on the floor from the fall. I felt bad for the people where the flames shoot out on the bridge. It gets hot there, and where the huge snake is.

LOL lets just say after 2 HOURS of "it's a small world after all" you want to kill those dolls!! lol it broke down in the middle and bc of gears and stuff you cant get out or it cuts your feet, not to mention it was like 100 degrees and for 2 HOURS the song still played!!!

i personally didnt have a breakdown, but i think its california screamin? the rollercoaster in california adventure with the mickey head, well anyways as soon as me and my family got off we were leaving then we looked up at another coaster that left and they were stuck upside down on the loop part, it looked really scary but fun at the same time. im just glad it wasnt me

During my WDW visit last week, I decided to go ride the Number One attraction In WDW: Expedition Everest. I got my fast pass ticket out, they checked it, and I approached the entrance. At first, my feet were kinda of scared, but i thought, Hey! Calm down, It's going to be O.K. How wrong was I.... The ride started as usual, Then, wehn we were just about to enter the mountain, The train stopped. I was up in the air, and it looked like the ride was going to stay there a long time. I stayed there for 10 or 15 minutes. To tell you the truth... I was kind of creeping out!! The Disney Staff came to our rescue us after I stopped looking down and started ******** OUT!!! I got a look behind the scenes of the ride. After that we had to Walk 10 floors down and then we finally saw the SUN. I was almost going to kiss the floor. I got a return pass and I came back after they had fixed the staff. Some experience huh?
I also got stuck during the Pirates of the Caribbean's start. It was scary!

i wish i got stuck more often. i got stuck on big thunder but it was only for about 3 minutes

i got stuck on pirates in the begging too lol. but i also got stuck at the end of splash mt. and we were sitting there for 15 min listening to zipped do da (sp??) and then they pulled our boat to the side and we had to climb off and me and my brother (while they were getting the rest of the people off our boat) were touching Brear(sp) Rabbit (shhhhhh lol). that was cool but they we got to walk behind the sences and saw the back of the mt and everything (me my mom and brother stoped and was taking pictues lol). it was soooooooo cool ad we got another fast pass for any ride in the magic Kingdom :) i would like to see the inside of Mt Everest. did you see the yeti?

I never got stuck on a big ride. For some rides its not stuck, its just stopps very people in wheal chairs etc.

That's pretty cool :). I love getting stuck on rides. Once I got to get stuck on the Dragster. Believe or not, it was pretty cool! I thought it wasn't even possible, but it happened. For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a ride that's about 420 feet in the air. It was soo cool to see the skyline!

man i would loved to gotten stuck on everest! i would of thought it was the best part of the trip! i have only been behind the scenes for magic music days. id like to get stuck on a ride. see if that was me stuck up there i would of been taking pictures, ive good really good pictures in the very front seat.

Lol, I always get stuck on rides so don't feel bad. At my last visit We got stuck on Buzz Lightyear (at the volcano part MUHAHA!) Then on pirates (At the part where the pirates where sealling the girls, Show your larbors ladies show your lardobors -.- Arg, then space mountain, then space mountain, at the blast off part. Then finally Splash mountain and then we had tower of terror with out any sound, we did our own sound affects. So it is kind of fun but we always get stuck on rides when my dad is with us, maybe we should not take him on the disney magic starting in barcilaona. Our last one we got stuck by a hurricane. Lol, my daddy is bad luck :( lol I sha'll leave him at home. But after we got stuck on all the rides we went to extra magic hours at animal kingdom and rode expadition everest 9 times in a row.:D

Lol, But the day after we rode everest was the christmas day parade stage filmings and i was in the front but my hat only got on screen. But then the next day they where filming the parade and we where hanging out at the VMK centeral and it was funny because we where talking to someone there and we where talking as an excuse to watch the high school musical going on but then a cast member heard where we told her we where from and he over heard us and then we told him that we did like there and he lived there too but moved to florida to work there and he asked where are mom was and if our dad was here and we got to be grand marcials in the last parade of the month and we just got so lucky.
But anyway it must really stink to be stuck on everest. My friend got stuck where they came in an encounter with the yeti and her and her friend she was with just started cracking up :D

Oh that' happen to me in Splash mountain lol. We were about to go on the drop were you see the 2 black crows and it was the scariest thing ever. It was like on the cliff of it almost about to tip over i panic'd for like 4 minutes straight. The Disney cast members immediately came to get us and they took us out by row i was the second row. The last row would leave first then we had to jump to the last row and everyone did the same thing. One person was handicapped so that was extra trouble. It took like 40 minutes so they gave us fastpasses for the inconveince. I barely go on splash mountain anymore... lol. It wasn't much to really 'see' behind the scenes.

I know how you feel. Last year, We went to DLR and that's an even bigger Attraction, We got stuck there for over an hour. And you know what was the worst part?! It was the part when they all sing "we're One" or something like that. I turned on my Ipod and then took out my speakers, I stood there listenning to music for over an hour. With little kids. With dummies singing all the time. It still haunts me to this day

Once, I was in a park (not disneyland), and i have phobia when u have your head down, my friend said me: come to this attractions, it is safe (it was dark so how i would know it was a coaster), so when i entered, it was very cool, but later there was a part of the coaster that you have your heads down, and the problem is..I got stuck, after 15 minutes they rescued me, but i was in hospital for 1 week, because of my phobia (I could almost dead) and because that thing got me a problem on my head

It was cool to see it with the lights on.

I love getting "stuck" on Buzz. Bonus points! Rock n Roller Coaster was having problems Saturday. I wish i got stuck on that one.

My sister and I broke..I mean got stuck on Splash Mountain right at slippin falls. It was awesome just sitting there and we got awesome pics lol.

Well, the Buzz lightyear ride broke down for us- and we were stopped right in front of a target! We kept shooting it, and got the high score. :D

Okay, I was with my aunt and sister and we were in DCA riding GRR. My second cousin and mom were waiting off the ride. we were going to go see the fireworks afterwards (it was during the 50th). We had walkie-talkies for some odd reason. So, we were at the last drop, where you spin down, and there were a few boats stopped in front of us. Okay, they just need to wait so they don't hit the one that went before them. But no, they didn't go down. So, we were up there for a good 45 minutes while they drained out ALL the water. But, thank goodness we had those walkie-talkies. So, we got some fastpasses, and got to go through the "secret portal". Ooooo, scary. And we got into Disneyland when Julie Andrews started talking. Got pretty bad spots, but that's okay. It was so fun because the second boat said to the first boat, "We will push you guys down!" Funny funny.

Also, Haunted Mansion stops a lot, because people in wheelchairs get on and off. So we tell my mom she is cursed. Haha

My Aunt Once Got Stuck On It's A Small World, With Her Daughter ( Age 3 ), For A Half An Hour, In which They Did Not Turn Off the Music. Her Daughter Was Super Happy, But My Poor Aunt Was Not! :(

Apart From My Aunt, I Have Been Stuck On Buzz At DLR. It Was Fun Because We Got Right IN Front Of The Highest Target!! Woot !

I was on Splah Mountain once and it broke down...but since the ride flows on water it kept going...and go ing....and GOING.... to the point where there was literally one boat after another going down the drop, tothe point where the very front of the following boat was seen in the pictures! it was soooooooo scary we did end up crashing several times!!! Nothing serious, just kinda scary, ya know!!

I was in line for Everest with my friend who had never been on it before. It was like, 8:00 in the morning and we were still inside (you go through the queue area inside, then go outside to load) but literally at the doorway. As a car was going up the 100-something foot climb, it stopped about 20 feet up! The people were stuck at this angle: / for 30 or so minutes, and we were just sitting there and shaking cuz' we had been standing up for so long at 8 AM! Anyway, they gave our group fastpasses for the inconvienence, so we ended up going on like 15 times that day :P.

I only gone to WDW, so many Rides/Attraction to list of breaking down....

Magic Kingdom:
Haunted Mansion: Stuck where the graveyard scene is, right were the dead bodies pop up.
Its a Small Wolrd: Was the front of six boats just about to get onto the platforms to exit then stoped, then the rest of the boats behind us kept hitting on us.
Splash Mountain: Stoped once right before the drop, then when it started again, @_@... didn't see that coming...
Snow White's Scary Adventure(first time to MK): Remembered it stoped a few times, can't remember which part.
Winnie the Pooh Great Adventure Ride:Stoped during somewhere when the blustery day thing was happening.
Tomorrowland Auto Speedway: One time, the car i drove broke down somewhere in the middle of the track and was stuck there for a while until they notice it an came push it all the way back to the garage.
Space Mountain: Stoped once, cant remember much.
Tomorrland Transist Authourity: Stoped right were it showed the scale model of Walt's dream of EPCOT(how lucky, took some pics).
Buzz Lightyear: Stuck and stoped so many times, too bad the gun and score was disabled...
Share a Dream Come True Parade: I know its not a ride but sometime during the start of it, one of the floats broke down and some engineers came and repaired it somewhere and made a long delay of the parade, lol.

Epcot:
Spaceship Earth: Stoped many times in almost every each part of it.
Ellen's Universe of Energy: Stoped where the Dinosaur part was, was lucky cause it stoped were the t-rex part was.
Mexico/boat ride in there that was like small world: stoped there once, cant remember much.
Malestom in Norway, was only 5yrs old: it stoped once and fell asleep for a while there.
Imagination with Figment: Stoped with the part with one of the senses scene.

MGM Studios:
None, doesn't seem like anything went wrong there.

Animal Kingdom:
Dinosaur: Stoped right where the T-rex was popping right at us, not realy scary, you could see the mechanical parts in it.
Primival Whirl: Stoped somewhere on the top.
Kali River Rapids: Stoped where they show a burning truck.

Downtown Disney:
Disney Quest: Many rides and games broke down but many were fixed.

Omg! When I went to this fair with my little bro (rollercoasterboi) lol we went on this water ride and when we got to the top of the 2nd hill there was a car with people up there and they were stuck so we bumped them and they went down the hill and then we got stuck and we will yelling for help and then we saw another car coming toward us and we were screaming and yelling and then the ride attendant guy was running up to us with the other boat in front of him and then boat hit us and we went down the hill and we were screaming loudly bc the boat was coming down the hill at the same time as we were and it was gonna like ram into us but it didn't but that wouldve been cool! lol ;)

I got stuck on Jungle Cruise at WDW And Pirates of the Caribbean at DLR!

It was cool! lol On Jungle Cruise:
We were going through the cave and we ran out of Gas!! lol and then we must have been there for 1 hour or 2! we called for help and No one ever came! then they did and they pulled our boat! it was cool! I was staying at a hotel and we got after hours so it was during after hours at night it was scary and I was ******** out! It was dark and we stoped when the tiger was growling! a boat got stuck behind us! and they were telling jokes and most embassasing moments! it was Fun yet scary..lol

PIRATES:
We got stuck on the second drop and then it STOPPED! They Yoho song kept going and everyone was singing and then we were screaming like TURN OFF THE MUSIC! AND SHUT UP! It was funny..lol and then People can and went in the water and PUSHED US! Then we went down and the Music was off and you culd hear like the shooting stuff! It was cool! Then there was a back up of other boats so then they pushed us in the cave thing and we got out of the boat and walked the hall and backlot! It was awesome! we saw people working and stuff! We got a free ride pass (We used it on Splash mountain! @_@)

Same happened to me. The lights went on and we could see everything from behind the screen. Apperantly the whole area 'Living earth' place got shut off. I think we got stuck at the part where the galf ball flew at us. We were front and in center. But I was on the very right, I tried to go down and get the camera phone. 'Cause it was in the bag place. But my dad didn't let me. Lol, we were stuck for like 45 minutes. After a while, people started singing the 'Spongebob Squarepants' theme song, and 'If your happy and you know it GET US DOWN.....safely' We also started to sing more songs, but they really were bad. and one lady had a baby and it started crying (headach). And they decided that since it took too long to restart the 132 computers. They had to let us down manually. Then once we got off, they gave out fast passes. So we got one, went around the ride thingey, and got more. We ended up getting like 10 XD. It was so fun, we were in the one in Florida, btw.

That happened a lot. If you got stuck in the room with the volcano. Shoot at the top. At the end you end up with 999999 points. I learned that about the 1 millionth time I went on it.

Oh oh I got one! This happened recently! Ok so every year for my birthday we get 2 tickets do disneyland so I can take 2 friends (we have passes) and so when we went this year me and my friends were on California Screamin and it got stuck. So we were stuck for a good hour and it was cold and at night so we weren't baking. So of course we were board so we started singing Jonas Brothers songs and we sung random songs and we were on the tall drop and my friend sang something random and my cousin yelled shut up and we sung a song called shut up by B.E.P! Then my cousin yelled you are stupid! So we sung the song stupid girls! And he said what are you taking requests? Then we yelled OH YEAH WE SO WILL! So we sung year 3000 too! lol then my friend screamed and she saw 3 guys that looked like the Jonas Brothers and my friend said hi! and they turned around and it wasn't them so she said oh sorry I was saying hi to Jessica Simpson so they were like where where? and they chased a random blond girl! We are idiots I know!

Hmmm... Not really a breakdown, but when I went on California Screamin over the summer, my car kind of stalled at the launch point, but I think it was meant to happen because the music wasnt going like if I was suppose to be climbing the hill or something but it was like the side/back up music.

i remember i was on spaceship earth.. i think that is what it's called.. andway you went through the globe in epcot. on right when i stepped in the vehicle and moved like 10 ft a boy got his foot caught in the moving strip and they had to call medics so everybody was called off the ride.

also i was about to get on the dino-coaster at animal kingom(I was first in line literally) and the ride broke down. they made us get in the other line but i looked at the ride and the train cars had the doors stuck open ON the ride.
im glad i wasn't on the ride at the time.

A few years ago, I was riding on Splash Mountain. As I reached the very top of the drop, the ride stopped. Announcements came on saying, "We are loading handicapped riders on, please stand by." We stayed there for five minutes, lol. Nice view of the Magic Kingdom :) Creepy though being that high, rofl.

California Screamin wasn't going too fast when the crash happend. This is the real story of how it happend that I was told from a cast member.

Ok, so there was a car in the station, that someone had thrown up on and they were getting everyone off the ride. They were waiting to back the train up in into that house thing were they fix the trains and stuff to clean the car off. And while they were doing that, one train came in and was waiting on the break system where the crash happend. Then the purple car was coming and it slammed into the car waiting in the brake zone.

Thats what really happend.

I know... there was an empty car at the loading dock and the one behind it was going to fast and couldn't stop in time I was there in California Adventures on that day, they had helicopters and a fire truck :)
BTW slammed means that they were obviously going too fast O_o

That recent posts sounds like you said the car crashed in the loading station, which it didn't. I have a picture of like the layout thing of how it happend that they posted on the internet, Ill try to find it hold on. ;)

i was in the car when the ghost is the car then i found out if i put my hand there the ghost goes away LOL! it was for 5 mintues:(

I know it was coming in to the start site and the first car was going slow to make its way in and the other car was going to fast...

One time on Dinosaur(WDW), we were riding, and it was at the part of where the dinosaur is chasing you and all of a sudden our cart stopped and all lights shut down. We sat in the dark for like 10 minutes before we jerked forward and started again.

And then my family must have a curse on Haunted Mansion (WDW). Everytime we go by the piano we stop foreeever, one time the lights turned on =P

Every time we ride HM at WDW, we get stuck.

We got stuck on rock and roller coaster before they launched us. They never gave us a warning when it was fixed, so they launched us without notice and i think someone broke there arm because his hand was up.. o.o

This is the only one i basicly remeber happening many times, on spaceship earth so when we went to epcot i loved to go on it. so we got stuck at the beggining when you go uphill ( quite scary the tv that you see keeps playing over and over again i probably could have memorized what they said) so after about two minutes it started agin and when we were at the part where you're on the moon and looking at the earth ( which i thought was so cool) we got stuck and they told us it would start again because there was a handicapped person getting on the ride so we waited for about 5 min or 10 mins i don't remeber. so anyway during that time i looked around and it was pretty cool being stuck at the top.not really a breakdown but pretty cool but we got stuck on the ride pretty often but i remeber one times we got stuck at the part where there are a lot of little lines lighted up right before the moon part.

I was about six when I was on a roller coaster and it broke down. I don't remember what it was called because I'm REALLY tired tonight but anyways.. We had to get out and walk along the rails to the end. It was SOOO scary because there was nothing under the rails to catch us if we fell.

Just Tuesday my sister and I got stuck on Rockin Rollercoaster and had to be walked off...Then yesterday on the larger hill lift of Everest we stopped for around 15 minutes after waiting for the front which was pretty cool.

Ugggh. I can't remember the name of the ride at the moment, but it's the awesome one where the guy sings, "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow..."

Ah! I got it. The Carousel of Progress.

Anyway. So my family and I were on the ride, and as it was supposed to shift to the next scene, the ride jammed. We saw the same scene 6 times in a row. :rolleyes: It was pretty funny. People were making comments like, "This looks familiar.."

Let's see...once I was at disneyland..think it was sometime in 2003, and we went on the Indiana Jones Adventure. Well near the end of the ride there is this illusion where you are about to get smushed by a rolling boulder, and we were riding up until that climax scene, then if I remember correctly the whole jeep stopped and the lights turned on. The boulder was like on a platform that pulled it around, and all the effects in that room were just made with lighting. We were escorted off the jeep and i remember on one wall there was like a bulletin board with staff papers on it. It was a really tight experience. I think that was the only time it happened though.


EDIT: Yes i remember now, back in 01 small world broke .down! man, what an awful experience me and my family sat there for like 20 minutes with Its a small world after all playing over and over again. after we were escorted off a cast member gve us some free ice cream, so that was cool. ill never forget those evil singning dolls though..

Last week I went through the TTA and Space Mountain was totally shut down, all the lights were turned on and no one was in line.

Another time we got stuck on Test Track and the car was at a 90 degree angle XP. It was near park closing, but we got to go on again and skip the line :)

Another time I got stuck going straight down on Cali Screamin and we saw a car that got stuck upside down for a good five minutes. That would've been awful.

Another time on SM, It was my first time riding and right as we got in the front of the line after a 2 hour wait, someone lost their wedding ring and they had to shut down the ride and everyone had to get off. Pretty scary.

we were on haunted mansion (DLR duh) and it was the Christmas one so we were on and we got stuck 4 20 minutes right where it goes la lalala lalalalalala lalalalala lalalalala and we got so annoyed!!

California Screamin got stuck under the loop? I dont think that would really be possible, because I think they would maybe announce it on the news and have pictures all over the web of it as well. Same with getting stuck going straight down. How can that even happen? You just go straight down then all of a sudden you stop?

It is possible, I don't know if it happened to California Screamin but on the Demon at Six Flags Great America (Chicago, great park, good coasters) on its vertical loop (like California Screamin's loop), it got stuck upside-down and trapped riders for a few hours.

It would be a very scary experience and can result in a trip to the hospital for minor injuries but rarely gets more serious than that.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The line was oddly short, and we got on, and the..I believe 5 cars at the end were empty.

So anyways, We were on the chain lift where the boulders move, and then we stopped at the very top. Suddenly you hear the sound of a car moving and people screaming, and our car jerked forward, and we continued the ride. We finished the ride without any more mishaps.

The seas with nemo and friends stopped, and a kid screamed "WERE R U NEEMO!"

Well we were on the TTM and we were in the space mtn part and the lights were on and all the ppl were getting of the ride so that was cool =) id hate to have had to walk down alll of those stairs

LOL, it didn't really break down, but me and my friend were on HM and we were screaming nonstop (even though it's not scary; we were being obnoxious LOL) and we were kicking each others vehicles when we went down the stairs backwards and they stopped the ride and turned on the lights and a voice on the intercom said 'please keep your arms and feet inside the vehicle at all times' LOL it was funny.

This story, is the funniest thing you've probably ever heard:
Me, one of my friends, and 2 guys were on the cat in the hat ride (i dragged them on it LOL) and me and my friend sat in the front and the 2 guys in the back. So, me and my friend are dancers so we put our legs on the handlebar seeing who has bigger calf muscles (dont ask LOL) and then one of the guys stood up and was pulling our leg backwards LOL. So the ride stops and the voice says 'keep your arms and feet in the vehicle please' so me and my friend put our feet back down but the guy decides to be funny and doesnt sit down. the voice comes back on and says 'please remain seated at all times BACK ROW!' LOL it was hilarious!

and another thing is, me and my friend (same one) spent the whole day in disney and we went in carousel of progress 923875 times in a row and whwn the song came on 'there's a great big beautiful tomorrow' we screamed it everytime and started dancing and everyone was looking at us literally laughing, it was great LOL

With screamin, I think it stops, like if they're was an emergency, I think it would stop at the next brake system it reaches.

But recently, on a different site, there was a problem with the launches again so a car was launched and then it stopped in the middle of the first hill. Then there was people on the track inspecting it and stuff at the launch part. Ill try to post pictures.

Not exactly. All roller coasters run on a system of brake zones. The cars will continue on until they reach the next closest set of brakes. There would be no reason to stop a car at the top of a loop, so it would be pointless to have brakes there.

Umm...well a couple years ago i was in WDW on that ride with it going through the Space Mountain (people mover?) not sure....but they stopped it and we sat there for like 2 hours then they said that we had to walk off and we were in the middle of the ride in space mountain....so we got to walk a bit of space mountain in there until we made it outside it was pretty cool but nothing special...

I have never been on a ride when it broke down but i have seen space moutain with its lights on. It was raining really hard so they closed it down and we rode the TTA and got to see it with the lights on! It was amazing how many twists and turns are in it!

POTC Broke down literally feet from the exit. We waited there for about 30 minutes untill the cast members finally had the great idea to let us all off. The lucky people in the back got to walk through the attraction :( LOL They had just refurbished it days before and they had to close it down again.. lucky me!

i dont think i posted on this thread (haha i dont remember) but heres my story.......

ok so about 3 years ago (i think) we (me my mom and bro) went on splash mt is wdw. we were at the part where everyone was singing zip-a-dee-doo-dah and we were rite in from of the bere rabbit and the little blue bird on the mail box (this is after the big drop for those who dont know). anyway the ride stop and we were sitting there listening to zip-a-dee-doo-dah for about 30 min (maybe more id remember) then they had to pull over our boat and we had to climb out and we had to stand there in front of the rabbit and bird while they got other people out (i got to touch him lol) then we walked behind the scenes. it was soooo much fun. we got to see behond the mt and the broken (i guess?) boats then we got a free pass to any rid ein magic kingdom =]

Yeeeeeah... the first time I went to WDW (when I was 5), I was petrefied of the POTC ride in Adventureland. My family went one, and right as we were on the top of a drop, the ride stopped. I was afraid of the pirates, and it was the part with all of them in that room. We were stuck for about an hour, and after about 5 minutes, I fell asleep after screaming my head off at the sight. xD
