joeyespn 08-30-2005, 05:02 PM Is all you have to do is PM me or email me at joeyespn@********** witha letter or something else for a young hurricane victim. You can even post it. Please put your first name and state on the cards. Ex. Joe from Alaska.
greenhpper 08-30-2005, 05:15 PM Not to be a grinch but everyone should be very careful not to give out personal information. While it is awesome that you want to help, there are still ppl who will try and take advantage of it. You should probably remove your e-mail before a Mod does since that is considered personal information. I will help as I can from my area, there will be lots of opportunities.
Greenhpper :D

Minay 08-31-2005, 11:07 PM I am trying to help the best that I can. I am donating money, blood and gas to them. Our gas prices rose 50 cents because of this catastorphe. A sad story I want to tell you all:
A news caster went to southern Louisiana.. she saw a man with children around him, must have been their father. She went to speak with them. The man said, "I held onto my wife until I couldn't hold on any longer. I cannot find her." The news caster broke down in tears after this news.
I want you all to hear this, because this is a sad story. Please help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I am doing all I can to help, please help too.

joeyespn 08-31-2005, 11:13 PM I have seen a little show on kids suffering in Mississippi from Katrina. Many fell in tears hugging their parents. This shows how much our support will help these kids.
My prayers go out to all affected by Katrina.
EMail your cards and letters of support to joeyespn@**********

-rcv- 09-01-2005, 06:47 PM Although there is never a good time for a disaster (huh?), this one happened at a bad time for the Muscular Distrophy Association. The Labor Day weekend is the time for the Jerry Lewis MDA telethon, which is when most of the money is raised for MD.
There is no question as to which need is the more immediate and pressing at this time, and Lewis has announced that "his annual Labor Day Telethon (http://www.mdausa.org/news/050831hurricane_katrina.html) benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association will also feature celebrity fund-raising appeals for the relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina."
joeyespn 09-01-2005, 07:21 PM Thanks rcv for the reminder. These are both important issues in our lives.
A Reminder keep on sending in your cards and letters of support!
UPDATE
You can post this on any other forum site! Just put to email all cards and letters to joeyespn@**********
