View Full Version : SpinMarty's Ranch games
SpinMarty 06-22-2005, 07:49 AM First of all, the reason for my name . . . it is based on a television series from the original 1950's Mickey Mouse Club show called "Spin and Marty". The ranch the kids went to each summer was the Triple R Ranch. (for more info check out my home page, listed on my bio page). Trivia note: Andy in Toy Story II wore a Triple R Ranch t-shirt when he got home from camp.
Anyhow I have two games that are going to be hosted in my room and I need feedback first:
1) I already host a "Guess what Disney character (film, person, song, whatever) I am thinking of" game.
The premise, participants ask questions that can be answered with a yes or no until an answer is achieved. This has been very popular and fun. When I have enough credits I like to give out prizes.
2) My BETA test game: Scavenger Hunt
dlfreak and SillyPrincess were kind enough to help me test this out and I think it will be fun. The game:
Participants will be given a series of 5 questions about random things in the VMK Park. They will need pen and paper in real life to write these down. They will then hunt through the park to discover the answers. The first person back with the correct answers wins a prize. Some questions are easy, some not so easy.
An example of a question: How many explorers are up a trunk?
I think that the best way to host this game will be to take RSVP's (so random people don't jump into it) and if there are alot of RSVP's (rooms are limited to how many can come in) I can always do it twice? I would post the time that it would occur and take RSVPs on this site for ease of communication. This is still in the works as I haven't ironed out all the details yet.

me me!
Feedback: Super cool. Maybe have one or two of the challenges involve taking a VMK picture of something (only problem is there, you'd have to go to the contestants room to see their pic). So, maybe not. :D

I have thought about this already and in my thread on "If you were a VMK Imagineer" I mentioned that I would love to be able to share/trade photos. We'll see, though cause I really like the idea of photos. Ooo, when characters are finally in the park . . . (mind starts to create)
ebbie 06-22-2005, 06:28 PM Three!!! (Did I win anything? :D )
Both games sound cool. I do like the sound of the Scavenger Hunt. I'd love to try it.
Silly Princess 06-22-2005, 07:32 PM I've been lucky enough to try out both games at the SpinMarty Ranch! Great fun, I really like them both. And the "hunt" is new and different, I've never seen that done in the game before. If you all get the chance, check it out, it's worth your time! :)
Super Megaquack 06-23-2005, 11:39 AM cool idea. I was thinking of doing that, but your version is better then mine. I didn'tthink you could with the limitations of the dictionary. It sounds fun so I'll try. HAve any generak times of when it's up?

I really enjoyed the second idea for your game it's like a quest in vmk instead of parks.
Pick me as your RSVP!!
