Heya :)

I've been disqualifying the players who haven't played their games in the tournaments tonight.

I'm only up to mid-July, but the plan is that after 2 weeks if you don't finish, you're dq'ed.

I'm running into a couple of small problems you should all be aware of.

1. some tourneys say the player hasn't finished, so when I disqualify them and it comes to the next screen, it shows me they DID in fact complete and may have even beaten the other player's score. I realize this problem and have no way to fix it or to switch who moved up. Sorry for this mixup.

2. The advancements are what they are, so please don't pm me and complain that you actually won. These are OLD tourneys dating back to the end of June.


I'd like to ask all of you who are playing games in the arcade, please look to see which ones you are still enrolled in and see if you were eliminated. If not, please finish up your games! :)

I'm trying to shrink down that HUGE active tourney list. :)

ps-this would be a good spot to LINK me to a specific thread of yours where there seems to be a person not playing. Without links I can do nothing. Just link me to the tournament page and I'll see what I can do-but please, if it's been less than 2 weeks since it started or since they last played, don't bother sending it to me. :) I can't do anything about those yet.

Again, I can't guarantee that if you got the higher score you'll go on. There are sometimes bugs in the system and I can't change the tournaments, only disqualify players.


I'm stopping at mid-July tonight, I'll pick up sometime tomorrow and go to mid-August.

Rather than post a LONG reply, I used out 'edit' feature that mods have and in the reason for editing, listed the action I took on the tourney you linked me to. :)

I hope this doesn't cause confusion. :) it's just much easier to reply to each answer that way rather than creating a long thread trying to remember what I did for each. This way I can reply to each as I do them.

One may have disqualified you, maybe because of the time that has passed since you've completed the first round. My bad, because I was on vacation for a couple weeks when you posted the tourneys.

I think that tournament scoring may be similar to the high scores for each arcade game. If a people have the same scores, then I think the computer ranks the players by the total playing time i.e. the person with the shortest playing time will be in first place, even if the scores are the same. That's just my hypothesis, since you can't view playing times on the Tournament screen to confirm it.

works for me lol.. all i know is after we played the first three games and tied, it added another round for us, and i guess we were still tied after that.. no big deal tho ;)

In the first round this tourny messed up and eliminated me and the person I was playing and also advanced us both and automatically eliminated us in the 2nd round. Once papersouls played her first round she was moved up to the 2nd round, but I was still showing as eliminated. So for that 2nd round I didnt get to play at all lol. It shows eliminated and not played yet q:

Unfortunately, the arcade module isn't perfect and can be subject to bugs. It also doesn't allow us to edit scores to correct mistakes the mistake we might know about anyway.

Lucky for you, this time it didn't change the outcome for that round of the tournament as you advanced anyway.

There's some weird glitch going on in my tournament. I played once out of my three tries then I won against my opponent. Then automatically when I went back to check a few minutes later it said I was eliminated. I'm completely confused about it.

There have been a number of issues resulting from the forums upgrade a while back. This is one of them. I cant speak for Nick, but I expect that he will look into it when he has time. Keep your fingers crossed.
