If I were you I'd just buy a Leota and go around asking noobies.

Here's how my trade worked:

Me: Hey guest, I'll trade you for your Mickey Ears.
Guest: I don't want to trade them.
Me: Are you sure? Not even for a Leota?
Guest: What's that? Show me!
[Shows]
Guest: Wow that's cool.
Me: So you'll trade?
Guest: Sure!

I also recently traded a Leota for a Disneyland pin :) I don't feel I'm "cheating" the players or anything considering I spent 1000 credits for the Leota (something actually worth a lot). It's better than trading them a Shrunken Ned Pin like someone I know did :p

it seems everyone now wants mickey ears lol I usually don't get into fads like this, but I sort of want a pair too. Is making a character in disneyland the only way to get them other than trading?

it's hard to say. I'm a little tempted to trade my invisibility magic pin for a mickey hat...

I'm a little tempted to trade my invisibility magic pin for a mickey hat...But you can only win Invisibility only once right? If you can win it more than once, I would definatly trade it for Mickey Ears!

Krystal,

I was in the Pirates game lobby and watched you badger someone about giving you their black mouse ears (for your friend, as you put it). She said no, and I saw you, with my own eyes, continue to say the word "Please" at least five times. And each time, this other character said no.

You then said, "Fine, be that way." and left. There were a couple of nasty comments about your behavior after you left, as everyone in the room saw what happened.

I believe ONE "no" from this person should have been enough for you.

If this other girl did not report you to VMK for harrassment, consider yourself very lucky.

Yes, it's OK to want something, and yes, it's OK to offer trades. That's what VMK is all about. But when someone says no, please do them, and all of us, the courtesy of accepting that and not getting angry just because you didn't get something you wanted from someone who did not want to part with it.

If you look around this fan site, you will see several angry ppl who are already fed up with agressive attempts at getting things on VMK. Please don't contribute to the problem.

No, they are worth absolutely NOTHING. This is why its bad when seasoned players offer Newbies NPC pins for Mickey Ears.

I had a seasoned player offer me that trade, and she knew I was a seasoned player! Talk about nerve! :D

When a new player is more than happy to trade his ears, what I've done is open up a trade, show them every single item I have in either pins, furn, or whatnot, and let them pick 3-4 of their choice. They are happy and I am happy. I don't think that is taking advantage, since they have their choice of items to choose.
