what does combining magic pins doYou can combine magic pins of like types.
ie..Fireworks & Fireworks, Invisibility & Invisibility, Inferno & Inferno and so on.
Combining magic pins increases the star count on your magic pin. An uncombined pin is 1 star. Two 1 star pins combined makes one 2 star pin. Add a 1 star pin to a 2 star pin and you get a 3 star pin. All the way to a 5 star pin. 5 stars is the highest level you can get.

Increasing the star levels of your pins by combinng them makes the magic effect of the pin last longer and it also decreases the recharge time for the pin before you can use it again.

Increasing the star levels of your pins by combinng them makes the magic effect of the pin last longer and it also decreases the recharge time for the pin before you can use it again. At some point, someone with way too much time on their hands should test out all of the recharge times for each magic pin at various star levels. I attempted to test this out for the pirate pin and determined that the recharge time is the same relative to when the spell starts, regardless of how many stars your pin has (of course, relative to when the spell ends, the recharge time will feel shorter for a five-star pin just because the spell lasted longer). Teleportation is the only pin I have heard where the recharge time is definitely shortened if you combine multiple pins. This makes sense to me since combining teleportation pins would otherwise have no purpose...there's really no point in extending the effect. It does make sense to combine/lengthen the magical effects for the non-teleport pins, so that is why I don't think the recharge time is shortened for those.

If anyone wants to test my theory, here it is in a nutshell:

1) The teleport pin has a shorter recharge time if you combine multiple pins. Each time you increase the star level of a teleport pin, the recharge time drops.

2) All other magic pins have the same recharge time (relative to when the spell starts), regardless if you combine multiple pins.

Any easy way to test this is to start a spell and then immediately click on it again to see how high the recharge counter is. Perhaps you could save time by having the magic window already open and launching the spell using the code words. Also, I am curious if all of the magic pins have the same default recharge time for a one star pin (120 seconds?) or if it changes, depending on the spell.

good theory MrGenie, I do know that Nedakh can teleporter with his 5star like every 10seconds, so i think you may be spot on.

Sincerely, ClawThanks for the interest. To test this, you really need both a one-star pin and a five-star pin, at a minimum. For example, activate the one star pin and immediately go back into the Spells menu. Try to activate it again (it will say "Wait") and see how many seconds are left before it is recharged. Then, stop the spell, and repeat with the five-star pin. If the recharge times are the same, you should see about the same number of seconds when you try to reactivate both pins while they are charging.

I was kind of hoping that a higher star teleport would make you go faster from place to place, like being able to appear instantly on the other side of the room just with a click.. that would be fun but I guess it goes pretty quickly as a 1 star so there really wouldn't be much room to make levels all the way up to 5.
