Flip Flop Flipper is about this girl named allison that just moved to this new house by the beach and she is trying to deal with this new school which she doesn't really like. She soon finds a mermaid which says she is sick of swimming and wants to stand. Allison takes her chance to try something new. The mermaid and Allison switch lives Allison is now a mermaid. And this mermaid is now a Human. Can Allison trust this mermaid will turn her back into a human if she wants to? Could Allison's new fins really be a trick? To find out read my story :)

Chapter 1
Allison woke up she smelt the ocean breeze in her room. She walked toured the window. “It’s a cold morning today” she thought. “Allison!” called a voice “get down here now breakfast is ready!” “Coming mom” groaned Allison as she put on her slippers and walked down stairs. “What are we having for breakfast today cold cereal?” Allison moaned. Lisa (Allison’s mom) look up from what she was eating and said “What’s wrong with you this morning grumpy” Allison just looked at her mom then went to the cabinet to grab some cereal. She didn’t want to talk about it she couldn’t sleep at all last night her dreams were bothering her. Lisa could see something was troubling Allison but she didn’t ask. “You’re going to miss the bus, but I got your lunch made so go put on some clothes and get ready” said Lisa. Allison ate the rest of her breakfast and then got ready. After brushing her teeth, combing her hair, and finding an outfit to wear Allison ran down stairs kissed her mom on the check and got on the bus.
As Allison got on the bus she heard her name being called. “Allison over her” called the voice. Allison looked around to see her best friend Claire waving her arms in the air and motioning to sit by her. Smiling Allison went and sat by Claire. “How was your morning” Claire asked. “Bad I had a dream about my dad again” Allison said. “How!” Claire sighed “my morning wasn’t so good either my little brother spilt juice on my new white shirt and my mom demanded I put something else on. So I stuck wearing this” Claire said showing Allison her shirt. Allison couldn’t help but laugh the shirt was hideous. “I know isn’t it ugly” said Claire “Did you bring any thing in your backpack I could wear.” She asked. Allison pulled out a shirt right as they reached the school.
Allison couldn’t wait for this day to be over! It was an hour until school ended and she had already made a fool of herself. Claire told her it was nothing but Allison didn’t care she had tripped when everyone was in line and the whole line fell over. Even the teacher! Now everyone called her miss clumsy or dumbo the elephant. Which weren’t good nick names because she didn’t have big ears and she wasn’t clumsy someone pushed her. “Oh please why should you be embarrassed about that” said Claire “nobody cares” she finished. “Fine I’ll come out” said Allison. Right as Allison came out of the bathroom stale the “Group” came in. The wannabe mean girls at Allison’s school. “Hey look” said one girl in the group. “It’s dumbo!” Right as she said that Allison fell flat on her face. The group started laughing like crazy. One girl ran out of the bathroom to tell the rest of the class what had just happened. Allison started crying on the ground of the bathroom. Then she remembered it was a bathroom floor and sat up quickly. Claire walked up to the so called group’s leader and said “back off!” “Make me” sneered the group leader. Claire was a nice girl and Allison was sure she had never seen her do this before. Claire put her hand in a fist and then punched the girl in the face making the group leader fly to the ground. She looked up and said “your crazy both of yea and if you ever cross my path I’ll be waiting and I’ll get you!” and then ran out of the room with the rest of the group following her. “Thanks” said Allison “I think I’ll go home now” Claire just said “ ok” and watched her walk away.
Chapter 2
When Allison Got home she slammed to door and ran straight to her room. Lisa had invited some other school moms over to chat and was embarrassed at Allison’s behavior. “I’m don’t know what’s wrong” she said to the other moms. Allison slammed to door to her room and locket it she was so mad now. She looked at her room she started taking everything off her shelves and ripping all her posters and pictures. Then she stopped in her hand was a picture of her dad. She started crying and through the picture on the ground.
Later that night Allison never left her room. Her mom called her for dinner but she didn’t leave her room. Lisa got worried she tried talking to Allison but she always told her to go away. Allison looked around her room as she sat on her bed. “What would her mom say if she saw her room now?” She thought. “I better start cleaning it.” As Allison cleaned her room she found her diary she looked at a few pages of it, then grabbed a pen and started writing. “I hated today” she wrote “I was in line and I noticed Chad was in front of me he smiled at me ….then someone pushed me I think it was someone from the group. I fell on him and the whole line fell I was so embarrassed and mad.” She wrote on “now Chad won’t even look at me.” She set her pen down. A light was shining in her window she shivered and got up “Hello?” Allison called. No answer. Allison stood up and walk onto her balcony. She looked around the only light was from the street lights. Allison climbed down her balcony; if she went out the front door her mom would ask her a million questions. Her feet touched the sand. “Oh great I forgot my flip flops” she thought “I guess I’ll have to live without them for now” as she said that she saw the light again it was coming from one of the caves on the beach. “I can’t believe I’m doing this” Allison said out loud. She walk toured the cave.
As she approached the entrance she heard a splash. It reminded her of when she use to play in these pools in the cave. She shined her flash light on the spot nothing was there. She walked closer to the water and put her feet in. It was ice cold. She took her feet out and stood up again. “I should head back” she thought. As she thought that a hand came out of the water and grabbed her leg. Allison barely had time to scream for it pulled her under. Usually she couldn’t open her eyes under water but now she could. She couldn’t see what was pulling her but she was loosing her breathe. Then she saw an opening of another cave she tried to pull free and succeeded. She swam as fast as she could to the surface. The hand grabbed her again and as it grabbed her she lost all of her air.
Allison opened her eyes she heard someone singing. She couldn’t remember what happened. Then she jumped to her feet “where am I” she screamed! Then she remembered what had just happened to her. A voice laughed and then Allison saw what it was. In the pool of water next to her was a thing with a fish like tail and long colorful hair. “Yes I am a mermaid” it laughed. Allison froze in horror “what was happening right now” she thought franticly. Then Allison said “Why did you pull me into the water! Were you trying to drown me?” The mermaid answered “no I was trying to make you follow me but you kept struggling so I pulled you.” “Only Those humans with bad lives can see the light that brought you here” she continued. “That is why I pulled you here because now you have the chance of a life time” Allison interrupted her. “I do not have a bad life in fact I like my life and I’m glad I have it.” “That’s not what the light says” the mermaid answered. “Well maybe the stupid light lied” Allison said stubbornly. “What is your name child” said the mermaid. “…..I’m not a child any more I just turned 13 so I would like to be called a teen! Well mermaids wouldn’t know that would they.” “Fine what is your name teenager?” Said the mermaid with a smile. “My name is Allison what’s yours?” Allison responded. The Mermaid looked up at the cave wall and said “my name is Star that shines brighter then the moon, but everyone calls me star.” She finished.
“Why have you come here star? Why did you bring me here that is all I want to know?” said Allison. “I have not brought you here but you have brought yourself in curiosity. The light says you have a bad life but that does not seem to be the main reason. You see I am sick of being a mermaid I want to go on land and walk. I’m 13 too you know and I want to explore the world on land not by sea.” Said star. “So what does this mean for me?” asked Allison. “What does it mean? It means I want to be a human and I can make you a mermaid that’s what it means!” said star. Allison stared at her “Is this true? Can I really be a mermaid?” she asked “Yes it’s true” star said. “All you have to do is give me something of yours and I’ll give you something on mine then you’re a mermaid.” She finished. “Well what about my mom?” asked Allison. “What about her? I’ll tell her I’m a foreign exchange student from Paris” said star. “You speak French?” Allison asked. “ yes I do and I speak many other languages I also know why you were mad today and I’m a great talker so your mom wont know anything is wrong” said star. “Ok if you say so” said Allison. “Here take my magic mirror it will tell you anything you need to know and it will show it to you” said star. “Thanks what will I give you uh…Oh? Here take my hair clip.” Said Allison. As Allison grabbed the mirror she saw that her legs were disappearing she now had a purple fin. She look down she was in the water! She look up she saw star standing where she was just standing. She had legs! “Good luck” she said. “What if I need help?” asked Allison. “Asked the mirror remember” said star as she dived into the water and swam out of the cave and onto land. “Here I go” Allison thought as she swam into her new adventure.
Chapter 3
It had been a day since Allison was turned into a mermaid. She wondered how star was doing “it must be school time for her right now” she thought. Allison picked up the mirror star gave her and looked into it. She saw star at her school, she seemed to be making friends with everyone even Claire! Allison started to feel jealous but then she remembered she still hadn’t made it to star’s kingdom maybe the mermaids would like Allison more then star? She laughed “I hope so.” Allison looked at her fin it was looking dirty. “How did you clean something that stays in water?” she wondered. She asked the mirror again it said sea weed. “Oh...” thought Allison as she grabbed a patch of sea weed and rubbed it on her fin. She turned around to see a dolphin coming toured her. She quickly said something to it in dolphin. “Yeeeeck yeck” Allison said in surprise. She spoke dolphin? The dolphin came closer and then answered. “Yeeck yeeeeck yeck.” This was something like “Need any help?” Allison told the dolphin where she was going luckily the dolphin was headed the way so it showed her the way. “This is really weird” she thought “a dolphin talking to me...”
Star walked onto the blacktop “It was great to have legs and be able to breath the real air” she thought. Then “The group” walked up to her. The leader (Roxanne) Looked at her and then said “where you from again punk?” Star narrowed her eyes “what’s it to you?” “Don’t question me!” yelled Roxanne. “Why you scared chicken?” Sneered star. Roxanne grabbed stars shirt and held her up to the wall “who’s a chicken now” she said “not me” laughed star. All of a sudden Roxanne looked at where she was just holding star and saw she was now holding one of the group members she turned around to see star laughing at her and then run away. “What just happened” asked Roxanne. All the group members started trying to find out what she had just done. “Wow it’s like she just teleported over there yeah….” Said one of the group members. Roxanne lifted one eye brawl and questioned this thought.
Allison had made it she was now at what star called the mermaid kingdom… her aquatopia. She looked around at all of it and then ran into another mermaid. “Hey watch it…..” he paused. “Who are you?” said the merman. “Uh…err” Allison stammered “I’m Allison” she finished. “Nice to meet you I’m Sun warmed ray, but everyone just calls me Sun. Are you new here?” he asked. Allison blushed “yes…star a mermaid switched lives with me for a while... so I came here” as Allison said “star” Sun looked worried. “Is something wrong” she asked. “No…no just come with me I’ll show you where you can stay.” He finished. Allison started to get worried as she followed sun into a giant palace “where am I going what are they going to do to me?” she thought. Sun stopped “stay here” he ordered. He walked away into a room. Allison now was biting her nails then she looked around and saw that this palace was amazing. After what seemed like 30 minutes Sun came back out and showed her to a room. “This is where you will stay I hope you like it” he said and then walked away. Allison was shocked the room was beautiful and it was huge!
Chapter 4
Star had just gotten back from school “what a bore” she thought “humans have to do that all day and then when they get older they have to work boring!” she ran up to Allison’s room. She poked her head out the door and called “Lisa I’m home!” no answer. “She must be hat the store” thought star. She hoped onto Allison’s bed. The land was nice it wasn’t watery all the time. Star picked up her backpack “I better get started on this homework” she said to herself. As star started working on homework she noticed something in Allison’s room. It was some kind of book. She hoped of the bed and grabbed it “now why would this be more hidden then the other books” she wondered.
She opened up the book it read “dear diary”. Star laughed “This outta be good” She flipped through a few pages. Then read a page out loud “dear diary, I hated today! We were in line Chad was in front of me. He smiled I laughed. Then someone pushed me I think it was a group member. I fell on him knocking down everyone else even the teacher!” that seemed to be the last page of the book Star went through and read some of the other pages. She laughed “wow Allison has some troubles….Maybe I can fix them” She grinned.
Allison was just getting to know all about this mermaid kingdom Sun showed her around to many popular areas. Allison soon told Sun bye and said she just wanted to swim around. Soon she found a cool looking sea weed forest. She swam through it and looked at everything that lived there. She noticed movement behind her. She turned around a mermaid was following her? “I know your there come out” said Allison. The mermaid came out she was just a little girl she came up to Allison with big eyes. “Your pretty” she giggled “aww why thank you. My names Allison what’s yours.” “My names Little Aqua Wave, but everyone calls me little aqua.” She said smiling. “Does everyone kind of have a nickname?” Allison asked. “Well most mermaids and merman do some chose to just keep there name though” she said. “Well it’s nice to meet you Little Aqua” “can I show you something?” she asked. “Sure?” Allison said Little Aqua led her through the rest of the sea weed forest. “You have to promise not to tell anyone ok?” she said “ok.” said Allison. Little Aqua went through a few more turns and twist and they finally got to there destination. Allison’s eyes grew huge. In front of her was the biggest clam she had ever seen. Little aqua opened it up. “OMG!” cried Allison inside of it was….the biggest pearl Allison had ever seen it was bigger then her head!
Star brought Allison’s diary to school the next day. She went up to Claire and said “like omg girl read this” as she said that she pulled out Allison’s diary and showed her a page in the diary. It read “dear diary today was pretty good but Claire really bugged me. Her and her buck teeth got on my nerves I should say. I was about to ask the teacher something and she raised her hand and said I was the worse friend in the world then she said I slapped her! What a looser!” “OMG” cried Claire. “I stood up for her how could she do this to me!” she cried and then ran out of the room. Star smiled then walked over to Chad. “Hey Chad” she said “yeah?” he asked. “What do you think of Allison?” “Why?” he asked. “Oh just wondering cause she wrote about you in her diary.” Said star “REALLY!!!!” he said in surprise. “Oh yeah she wrote A LOT about you.” Star lied. “Wait how do you know” he questioned. “Cause I got her diary right here” star waved around the book. “Can I see??” asked Chad. “Sure but I was wondering…do you want to go to the dance with me this Friday?” asked star. Chad looked at her “sure why not now can I see it??” he asked. Star tossed the diary on his desk “you can look at until lunch.” She said.

Star had just gotten back from school “what a bore” she thought “humans have to do that all day and then when they get older they have to work boring!” she ran up to Allison’s room. She poked her head out the door and called “Lisa I’m home!” no answer. “She must be hat the store” thought star. She hoped onto Allison’s bed. The land was nice it wasn’t watery all the time. Star picked up her backpack “I better get started on this homework” she said to herself. As star started working on homework she noticed something in Allison’s room. It was some kind of book. She hoped of the bed and grabbed it “now why would this be more hidden then the other books” she wondered.
She opened up the book it read “dear diary”. Star laughed “This outta be good” She flipped through a few pages. Then read a page out loud “dear diary, I hated today! We were in line Chad was in front of me. He smiled I laughed. Then someone pushed me I think it was a group member. I fell on him knocking down everyone else even the teacher!” that seemed to be the last page of the book Star went through and read some of the other pages. She laughed “wow Allison has some troubles….Maybe I can fix them” She grinned.
Allison was just getting to know all about this mermaid kingdom Sun showed her around to many popular areas. Allison soon told Sun bye and said she just wanted to swim around. Soon she found a cool looking sea weed forest. She swam through it and looked at everything that lived there. She noticed movement behind her. She turned around a mermaid was following her? “I know your there come out” said Allison. The mermaid came out she was just a little girl she came up to Allison with big eyes. “Your pretty” she giggled “aww why thank you. My names Allison what’s yours.” “My names Little Aqua Wave, but everyone calls me little aqua.” She said smiling. “Does everyone kind of have a nickname?” Allison asked. “Well most mermaids and merman do some chose to just keep there name though” she said. “Well it’s nice to meet you Little Aqua” “can I show you something?” she asked. “Sure?” Allison said Little Aqua led her through the rest of the sea weed forest. “You have to promise not to tell anyone ok?” she said “ok.” said Allison. Little Aqua went through a few more turns and twist and they finally got to there destination. Allison’s eyes grew huge. In front of her was the biggest clam she had ever seen. Little aqua opened it up. “OMG!” cried Allison inside of it was….the biggest pearl Allison had ever seen it was bigger then her head!
Star brought Allison’s diary to school the next day. She went up to Claire and said “like omg girl read this” as she said that she pulled out Allison’s diary and showed her a page in the diary. It read “dear diary today was pretty good but Claire really bugged me. Her and her buck teeth got on my nerves I should say. I was about to ask the teacher something and she raised her hand and said I was the worse friend in the world then she said I slapped her! What a looser!” “OMG” cried Claire. “I stood up for her how could she do this to me!” she cried and then ran out of the room. Star smiled then walked over to Chad. “Hey Chad” she said “yeah?” he asked. “What do you think of Allison?” “Why?” he asked. “Oh just wondering cause she wrote about you in her diary.” Said star “REALLY!!!!” he said in surprise. “Oh yeah she wrote A LOT about you.” Star lied. “Wait how do you know” he questioned. “Cause I got her diary right here” star waved around the book. “Can I see??” asked Chad. “Sure but I was wondering…do you want to go to the dance with me this Friday?” asked star. Chad looked at her “sure why not now can I see it??” he asked. Star tossed the diary on his desk “you can look at until lunch.” She said.
