View Full Version : Worst Ride Ever
joeyespn 08-29-2005, 07:04 PM Hey I just wanted to know what everyone thought was the worst ride ever.
I will go with Stitch's Great Escape because of the hype it has not lived up to.
Also on another VMK fan site I read something pretty weird and it got many posts.
It's a Small World with Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin guns and targets on the dolls!
Finally Fantasyland is the best part of MK!
Well Tomorrowland will always be!
Taryn 08-29-2005, 07:10 PM It's a Small World with Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin guns and targets on the dolls!
NOOOO! I loooove it's a small world!! Hmm, worst ride...well, I really like all of the rides, they each bring so much to the parks...however, I guess I'll say Dumbo, because it's so inefficient. I mean, it's really cute, it looks really nice, but the line! It loads SO SLOWLY. Geez, I feel sorry for parents with young children who just HAVE to ride Dumbo, you waste like 2 hours waiting for a 30 second ride...
crushandgush 08-29-2005, 07:13 PM small world with full auto pain ball guns and laser aiming and water for close range
joeyespn 08-29-2005, 07:14 PM We mean It's A Small World in real life. It is just a joke.
I definitely have to agree about the Stitch's Great Escape comment. Worst mistake since taking away Figmentin the original JIYI.
sseeeejjaayy 08-30-2005, 01:48 AM worth ride eh? no idea. but i'd have to agree with the dumbo ride issue. sooo true.
but the scarriest ride is snow white's scary adventures. oh goodness. o_o
MissAmber 08-30-2005, 01:49 AM I LOVE DUMBO! LOL When I was younger, it was my favorite ride. I used to freak out though when my sister would jiggle the little stick thingy up and down really fast and it would jerk me up and down and I felt as if I'd fly out.
Currently, my all-time favorite ride is space mountain, or splash mountain. They are both so fun. I remember I got a free fast-pass thing to splash mountain by finding a paintbrush on a paintbrush scavenger hunt game thingy. I'm not sure if it is still a game there, but it was pretty cool.
I have rided stiches great escape before, just once, and I have to say; it scared me to death!
I remember 'Its a small world' from when I was little, and it really really was weird. People all smiley and happy and everything is just..TOO HAPPY! And that dang song got stuck in my head the whole day. "..It's a small world afterall.." AHH
EDIT: Just noticed, nothing here is really a 'worst ride' that I have mentioned. I guess anything considered disney would never cross my mind as 'bad' or 'worst'.
smilezlie 08-30-2005, 09:16 AM worst ride: MR TOAD! that ride scared me to death as a kid, and no it wasnt the fire part.......i just am afraid to this day, WELL over a decade later........
ok, really worst rides at disneyland:
1.astro orbitor aka the rockets. was cool when it was still up above the people mover but now its like dumbo gone rockets.
2.its a small world: creepy dolls! its like a horror movie come to life.
3.rocket rods: WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? ::smack::
and a few honorable mentions at dca:
1.superstar limo: not even gonna go there....only thing creepier than its a small world, good riddance!!!....
2.golden zephyr: uh, ya, pointless.
3.a bugs land in general. walt would roll over in his grave...(if he wasnt frozen in the castle...but thats another story!)...disney was supposed to mean family! i do not know how any ride there could be entertaining to anyone over the age of 4......and most parents can not even fit on the rides! useless.
sseeeejjaayy 08-30-2005, 09:40 AM 1.astro orbitor aka the rockets. was cool when it was still up above the people mover but now its like dumbo gone rockets.
THAT IS SO TRUE. lol xP
Middiebear 09-05-2005, 06:07 PM The worst ride i've ever been on in Orlando has to be Jaws.. That ride is just plain corny.. They say look, there's a shark coming, and that's it, it's actually kinda funny, but still corny as ****..
The worst ride at Walt Disney World has to be Space ship Earth, cause you just sit there and do nothing, sort of like Jaws ;)
Mikailah 09-05-2005, 06:29 PM Hmm, I have never been on Superstar Limo before because when I went there, the ride was closed. What kind of ride was it?
Anyway, I would agree in saying that the worst ride in WDW is the Stitch one, it's very similar to the Alien Encounters ride that was there before the Stitch.
And Spaceship Earth is such a nice ride! lol, I find it very interesting. I love it. :]
WDWFutureGirl 09-05-2005, 06:31 PM I can not believe any one could ht a nice ride like spaceship earth middie made me cry sad tears WAH :( :(
WDWFutureGirl 09-05-2005, 06:34 PM i liked stitch.. but it needs more stuff in the show
Horizons 09-05-2005, 07:46 PM You people never had to go through the torture that was Journey into your Imagination. That ride made stitch look like the best ride ever. for those of you who know not of the horror let me put it in the right mind set. It was a dangerous time at Epcot. Test Track was bringing a new wave of thrills instead of education. The coming of the death of Horizons was near.....I remember that very night. Me and my family entered Epcot. I wanted to do Journey into Imagination first, This was an amazing ride. 14 minutes of dark ride and details plus the two best in park characters, DreamFinder and Figment. this ride was very popular! people waited a long time to wait for this ride. So back to the story...I wanted to go on it. My family wanted to do something else first. Later in the night we had time so we went to go ride it. What we found was sad. The windows were darkend and the ride was closed. We went over to a little outdoor plush cart(long gone now)Where we asked the cast member why the ride was closed. He said they are taking DreamFinder and Figment out of the ride. After that we bought a Figment plush and went home. Later in 2000 the new ride opened. Everyone was shocked. This ride was the worst ride ever! Not only was it full of huge periods of nothing going on but it also said that we have no imagination! :( The funny part is one time we were waiting in line for it when the ride breaked down. We waited a little bit and we then saw Eisner coming out of the ride with a look that will stay in my head for the rest of my life! He looked like he was about to say" I gave you money to build this?" a few days after that they announced that he didn't like it and ordered a new version be built. But that 2000 version got more complaints then any other ride in the history of Disney Theme Parks. So stop picking on stitch because that ride has gotten many great comments from guests and many people do like that ride very much. So next time you ride Stich remember this for the sake of us who got to ride that stinkburger of a ride.....There has been worse! goodnight and good health :mickey2:

Hey If you diss Spaceship Earth you diss all epcot fans everywhere!!!

you saw Eisner funny little joke of yours i <3 it ! LOL
Poseidon 09-05-2005, 07:59 PM I LOVE Spaceship earth. It's a good ride to go on at the end of the day when it's deserted. And you can have a whole car to yourself, lol.
It's air conditioned, and very relaxing to go on. I agree with Horizons there! SSE is the center of epcot!
dancplanet 09-05-2005, 08:01 PM Hi, Mikailah - Superstar Limo was a dark ride where you rode in a limousine through sets that looked liked Hollywood. There would be audioanimatronics of celebrities (Cher, Whoopi, I think I remember being in it) and there was a little video screen with your tour guide taking you through the ride. That is how I remember the ride, my memory could be a little off though :goofy:
It will be cool to see what Monster Inc. is like and if they use the same track layout. See ya round :)
crushandgush 09-05-2005, 08:07 PM SSE is boring ya set in a car and do nothing i <3 test track is better then any ride in orlando mission:space is a killer i like the game room with the space race game
Middiebear 09-05-2005, 08:10 PM I do like Epcot alot.. I love Test track, and think that's the best ride in the park, as well as Mission: Space, Maelstrom, and Soarin'.. I just don't like that one ride.
I said Jaws was much much worse than that ;)
DFreak1989 09-05-2005, 08:18 PM Without a doubt, Food Rocks. I am so glad that they replaced that with soarin' That show really <edit>. It made me want to cry.

Ah I see, thank you for explaining it to me! I wished I would have been able to try that ride out, it sounds kind of interesting seeing different celebrity figures. And I didn't know you were on these forums dancplanet, lol! Good to see your here. :]
I remember when Iwent to Epcot i was really impressed with everything
untill i got on Body Wars
That was really bad,i laughed when i heard "were being attacked by the white blood cells"its like someone said lets do star tours in the human body.
another ride I hated was That little tram ride in the living seas
it was like 1 minute long it went past fish tanks and then it was over
when i got off i was like WHAT? thats it.
other than that i like almost all disneypark rides.
and ive only been on the Extratrestial Alien Adventure not the stich one
whats wrong with it,everyone seems to hate it,i liked it when it was the older one,is it like the same but with stich or somthing?
joemorrow 09-06-2005, 01:02 AM i like the rides u mentioned but i never went on stitches great excape. I think the worst attraction is the enchanted tiki room because it has no thrill and i hate that song where do they come up with it? :poison:
GreatGatsby 09-06-2005, 01:26 AM I believe the worst ride ever create by Disney was Superstar Limo at California Adventure. It was so bad, none of the cast members wanted to work it.
Fortunately, they closed it down.
So today, I feel the worst ride in any Disney park today is the Indiana Jones roller coaster in Disneyland Paris. A 30-second ride that would have been considered state of the art in 1975, probably bought off the self, and decorated to make it look more than a carnival attraction.
Way WAY below the lowest Disney standards.
(As for Tiki Room, just because something doesn't have a "thrill" doesn't make it bad. I think the problem is it's a mature attraction.)
Mikailah 09-06-2005, 01:40 AM Ohhh I completely forgot about this one ride in Epcot at The Land!
It is one of the most boring rides ever, at least in my opinion. I am not sure what the name of it is, it might be The Land, but it is the most boring thing ever. XD
You ride in a slow moving boat where they talk about different kinds of plants and such growing there. It seems like such a long ride, and in my opinion, is very monotonous. It was especially boring because our tour guide had the most monotonous voice ever. He like hardly even had a voice, lol!
However, if you're a person who likes plants, I suppose this ride won't be so bad. My mom likes it because she's into flowers and plants, and she can only ride these slow rides because she does not like faster rides, lol.

i acually liked that ride
we sat up front and i had a really good time talking with the tour guide
Appleson 09-06-2005, 02:00 AM i'm not sure if i have a worst ride in mind, but i do know my worst ride experience at disneyland. i was riding that snow white ride in DL and right in the middle of the spooky forest, the ride got stuck! i was so scared and i was crying A LOT! i mean wouldn't you especially if you were 5 years old? luckily, they turned the lights back after about a minute or so and we exited through the side doors. but, i do have a fav ride and it's gotta be Dive Devil at Six Flags Magic Mountain. :)
Mikailah 09-06-2005, 03:30 AM i acually liked that ride

Oh okay, I guess that would be much better if you had a tour guide who actually was interested in what he/she was doing. The tour guide I had looked completely bored out of his mind. It was so funny, lol!
Haydenfan 09-06-2005, 03:37 AM worst ride is the one in california adventures i went on and it was at the bug life land i think it was called chu chu train ar something like that?
lemonysnicket3 09-06-2005, 03:41 AM The Worst ride in the world is gotta be The tiki room
Message to hong kong:Thank You for no tiki tiki tiki room
ps.IAlso i don't like Spin out. It made me throw up!
dancplanet 09-06-2005, 07:52 AM Hi, Mikailah - I just got on here in the past week I think. I love your avatar, it is very happy! :mickeymo:
And GreatGasby, I agree about that coaster at Disneyland Paris...it bumps your head around way too much :(
Is the new coaster opening at Tokyo Disneysea the same design? I hope it isn't.
Wiggins 09-06-2005, 08:03 AM worst ride is the one in california adventures i went on and it was at the bug life land i think it was called chu chu train ar something like that?
Heimlich's Chew Chew Train?! That ride rocks! You get to ride through a bunch of tasty treats and Heimlich burps at the end. What's better than that?
:twocents:
LadyVader 09-06-2005, 01:55 PM I believe the worst ride ever create by Disney was Superstar Limo at California Adventure. It was so bad, none of the cast members wanted to work it.Ok this is the worst Disney attraction ever, does anyone remember the Goosebumps show and haunted building at MGM? this was without a doubt the worst thing ever. Cast members came up to me and said please go tell guest relations how much you hate this attraction. They were begging to be put out of their misery! and the poor cast member trying to scare kids as a mummy would then start talking at say, oh don't worry I am not really scary. All these poor cast members trained to make magic could not bring themselves to scare little kids! Thank heavens Disney has way more hits than misses :pirate:
WingedHeart 09-06-2005, 02:04 PM I've only been to WDW--well I have been to Disneyland, but I was like 3 at the time, so I don't remember anything about it. :mickey2:
I just spent a day at the Magic Kingdom and went on Stitch for the first time. I must say, it is LAME!!! I was very disappointed. Boring, I kept waiting for something else more exciting to happen and then, it was OVER!!
I'm in my 30s but I must say I heart Dumbo and It's a Small World just as much as Rock-n-Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror!! :goofy:
:twocents:
Roxane 09-06-2005, 02:23 PM I think the most boring thing ever at Disney is the Hall of Presidents (or whatever they are calling it now). I remember my mom making me wait for hours with her for that when I was a kid.
I agree that Stitch is pretty lame too. I wish they had kept the alien ride there, it totally rocked (but I think it gave too many people heart attacks) But even Mission to Mars was better (Heck, even the original Mission to the Moon was better from what I can remember of it)
I used to love Mr Toads wild ride. I miss it every time I walk by Winnie the Pooh.

Heh, I remember going to that Hall of Presidents thing. Are you talking about the attraction in Magic Kingdom near the Haunted Mansion or around that area?
I remember my family and I just walking into there not knowing it was a movie or anything. I thought the wax figures of presidents looked pretty cool. I admit, it was a bit boring, but I found it interesting to learn about the presidents' and their history.
Roxane 09-06-2005, 06:34 PM LOL, that's the one. I guess it wouldn't have been so bad once, but I grew up near WDW. My mom made me go there every time. The worst thing was, it was an E ticket. I know a lot of you don't remember them, but I would much rather have been spending my E ticket on Space Mountain, or Jungle Cruise, or Pirates....anything but that boring Hall of Presidents every time!
DudeRiku 09-07-2005, 03:17 AM I would say the hall of presidents is the most boring ride. Here is an actual quote of what i said in that "ride". Quote:"Even out school people are trying to make me learn!"
Enough said. :wave2:
joeyespn 09-07-2005, 03:29 AM Here is the WDW Worst Rides List ppl
Stitch

Best Rides
Soarin

Tower of Terror
The Mountains at all Disney parks
HM
Worst and dirtiest ride outside of Disney just come and ride the Spin Miester at Great Adventure.
actoratlarge89 09-07-2005, 03:31 AM that Jaws ride is comical, my sister and i were on the side of the boat that got bit. When the shark came i just started laughing cause my sister was on the outside edge of the boat. When that shark bit the boat she screamed so loud you could hear it from where i live, in Texas!! It was funny to watch because who could be afraid of something that looked as fake as Michel Jackson's nose? lol
timmyastro 09-07-2005, 03:46 AM I love Splash Mountain..I went to disneyland for my birthday and went on it 3 times in the morning and 1nce at 12:00pm..as far as small world goes .....b...o..r..i..n..g....
Middiebear 09-07-2005, 05:02 AM LOL that's to your response on the Jaws ride, see told you that ride was corny ;) But i do want to make one thing clear.. In that ride, "Jaws" never actually touches or "bites" the boat, it stays a good three feet away from the boat and it is very visible to the guests of that gap
actoratlarge89 09-07-2005, 10:31 PM true it is just funny to see my sis scream lol
i thought she was going to have a hard attack!! lol
she seams tramitized ever since, and she is 17
joeyespn 09-07-2005, 10:34 PM Spaceship Earth is the best you learn something for once!!
