I just got a PM from a girl, asking to trade. She said not to mention the fan site because, quote, "We don't want any bans." Can we really get banned if we say we're from a fan site?

Your just not supposed to tell who you are on the fansite to anyone on VMK, because who you tell can look at your profile, and see your info. That's all I know.

Not if they are not a member. Only members can access the information page of a user.

Thats why mods dont like you posting Wifi codes, because non-members can see, and its basically giving out personal information :)

i did exactly the same thing but i ask if they had another site account and i got ban not a warring i didn't even know i was not allowed to ask that! thats not fair....

It is an extremely high possibility. Try and stay away from the word fansite, or fan site (LOL). It is dangerous. Usually, vmk will start you off with a warning. If you ever recieve that warning, never, and I mean never, do it again. Luckily, I have never recieved that warning -.-

For a trade, I just say " Hiya! I'm spot. " and the trade goes on, i've never gotten a warning for talking about the site.

Vmk frowns on other sites and prefers all trades are only done through vmk or by obtaining trading cards at the parks

I've talked about this site a couple of times, I just never mention what my title is on here. Never have received a ban or warning. As for now I am more careful just incase. So this is now known as "the other place" for me.

Yea, for me i just say fan :) but otherwise yes, you can get banned my friend rad got banned for a month or 2 for saying fan site :D i agree with shorts DONT DONT TEST IT OUT!!!

My advice, don't mention any site that is not an official Disney site nor a site that is not created under Disney.

ok i understand but i still use vmk fan site as a huge use in vmk and when ppl ask me were i find somethings out i say vmk fan site and i highly think that you can not be bannd but i understand why ppl think the way you think

You ask how does VMK know if you tell all that stuff or not? Well, VMK monitors all the chat. Believe it or not they do. Just because you have not got caught, yet, saying fan site on VMK doesn't mean it is OK for you to do so. Considering how many players on the site at one time they do a pretty fair job of monitoring the chat. Please be very careful.

If me and a group of friends have to talk about here for some reaon we say hw. No one hasn't got any warning or been banned for that yet. Even though nothing has hapened yet we seldomly talk about it

i've never gotton banned but i got a warning because i saw someone who's name i knew from here and i said "hey i saw you on the fan site" and she was like "yea i saw you too hi" someone must have reported cause i got a warning for that. thank god

Heh, like THAT will ever happen ;) Nobody will listen to that. I've mentioned the fan site in public rooms and have never even gotten a warning. I think its the guest rooms that they watch way more closely. Public rooms with no people are sometimes safe for saying a quick note about the Forums, but you shouldn't try it anyways...

Well, they do keep records of everything that's said, similar to threads staying here on our site.

So, if you are finally 'caught' they can go back and find everything you've said and use it against you-

i think trading goes better on fan sites then on VMK by itself. but only when trading idems and not codes i've done about 4 trades where the deal was made here and it's faster and easier. and i've made like half my friends that way :) on VMK everyone is like im poor

Well, the only time I've talked about it is with some friends ( We said 'The Site') and when we had that last ride competition.. when we had some, uh problems with our team.. I never got anything though, no warning or anything..
