Does anyone know if the applications to apply for community leader is open yet? I haven't been around in a couple months and just wondered if anyone knew?

I sent in an application a while ago and haven't heard back, so I dont think they're open yet.

LOL you, me and probably about every other user to VMK ready to quickly send it. ;) It's gonna be hard getting a place :(

well you have to have a pretty good application to get in :) i bet everyone has a good one, but they have to pick the few best ones

I expect they just go through like the first 100 or so and choose from that since they obviously do not have time to go through every single application carefully. That's why it is a bit of pot luck really. Some people won't get through even though they have a superb application.

LOL i do too... but everyone told me it was too long... i wrote a good 3-5 paper! LOL someone told me it was just 3 sentences and all you had to do was ask... but i thought you had to give a reason why you would make a good leader.

I sent my application in and they said they would love to have me but they're not looking for leaders right now so no.

Really, they want you to make it detailed about why you would make a good community leader but I don't think pages and pages would impress them - It's quality they look for, not the quanitity.. I think about anywhere between 3-6 paragraphs would be a sensible size to send. You don't want to lose their attention where it's so long, lol :)

I didnt do 35 pages... a 3-5 is 3 points in 5 paragraphs LOL idk if i could even write that much... i have a tough time with this

Well that right there is an important point itself - If you're not having fun on VMK with you're friends then you wouldn't make a good CL - You need to have fun to be able to enjoy what you're doing :D

I remember VMK said something like this in a previous newsletter:
When are you guys accepting new applications for community leaders?

We are currently not accepting new applications at this moment. We will announce when we will accept them again right here.

There are not the exact words, but it was something like that.:)

Yea I agree with you. There should be a little more. I am also sick of people saying they will be more popular and respected by becoming a leader so applications and leaders are limited I am pretty sure to prevent these people who wish to be leaders for the soul purpose of popularity.

Do you think they are still looking at the Community Leader entries from January - April or whenever the last time we had the chance to enter. Because I never got an answer back from the one I enterered in March

Here is a short anecdote about my friend...

5 Days ago he sends in an application, which he had never done before. An hour later, he received the questions. Just yesterday, he received his CL_ title and badge. Now please explain to me how he got accepted when minutes after he sent his in, I got a message saying they aren'ta ccepting any at the moment?

Personally, I think that message is a cover-up. They might really mean "you are not the type of person we are looking for."
