Basically, how big is too big? I know the maximum dimensions, but is there a maximum file size? What about animation frames?
Thanks for any info,
Batty:)

What about animation frames? Thanks for any info, Batty:) Wendot 08-12-2006, 10:30 PM http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/index.php/Site_Guidelines:Signature_Lengths Users should be considerate of other users on the forums. Excessive signatures cause the flow of the threads to be disrupted. Signature lengths over 10 text lines will be removed from user's profiles. This also applies to graphics that are larger than 500 x 200 pixels in length and width size. It doesn't matter how big the font size is as long as the total dimensions taken up by the signature text & graphic does not exceed 500 x 200 in pixel length and width. So the total dimensions of the signature should not exceed this size: http://www.disneysonlineworlds.com/images/a/a8/Siglengthexample.jpg Also, the file size of the signature should not exceed 200KB. We impose this limit as a courtesy for those on dial-up.' Regarding animation in signatures: If it's a obnoxious, there's a good chance for removal. I know the sigs are within the dimension guidelines, I made sure of that before I started. I am pretty sure they fall within the filesize guidelines, too. As to the animation being obnoxious, well...that's so subjective! They are about 5-6 frames each. But so far it sounds like they're okay, so when I'm finished I will post them for all to use. Well, I *did* read it at one time or another, but when I wanted the info, I couldn't remember *where* I read it. Maybe make that info sticky? Batty |
