Exactly what I was about to say. It may seem like a good idea at first, but you have to think about what people may do with it. Fake their being handicapped to scam some person out of something.

nothing against your idea but, if there is a new item everyone will want to have it >_< even non hadycaps

look, i suggest for the idea that when the person is making there character and everything for the first time, vmk asks a few questions that involve wheel chairs that only a person in a wheel chair would most likely know, so then that person is given a wheel chair in vmk. of course people STILL might abuse it, it is just to limit it down. maybe make it in a form of a magic pin like the magic carpet pin.

this way, only thing free is a wheel chair, and its not right to fake an injury or illness just to get that. Also, you cant take off this wheel chair, cant trade it, etc. However, it does disappear while on a ride a player created, doing magic, etc.

if you click yes you cant change
if you abuse that,you will get warned about being banned its kinda like begging

I Like the idea! I've Popped a Wheely in my Grandpa's Wheel Chair! it was fun! I did that with my cousin and it was crazy! anyways, I'd like to race a wheel chair! oh and to get rid of the " Give me free! I'm handicapped!" Problem, just not put the word Handicap in the dictionary!

It would definately be a weird thing to add to VMK (not necessarily a bad thing). I think that it would be a little bit unfair to people who actually use a wheelchair in real life, because other people might pressure them to use it. They come on to an online game because they don't want to have anything negative to think about (like a disability) and to bring an item like that would bring them shooting back towards earth. On the other hand It would be cool to have it like an item you could put on as pants though. Mobile Chair!, Woot Woot! Long live laziness!

In a way it would be interesting and fair to sell wheel chairs for people with a disability - But on the same note, there would be those who would buy the wheel chairs and what not who have no disability, and I don't think that people with a real disability would want to tell everyone in VMK to receive pity and sympathy treatment.

I really don't think wheel chairs are the way to go..

I dont use a wheel chair, but most people who do dont like using one I believe. I dont think they'd like to tell everyone they meet that they use on and also the whole scamming thing as well...

Yes but you could have a quiz in the beinging asking if you want to use a weelchair in VMK all times and if not they push no and they dont get one and if yes then they cant take it off is that bad?

The disability is not part of the person though - it's just something a person has to live with so there wouldn't be a purpose of wheel chairs really.

its a great idea, but it might not go over well with, since some ppl try to take advantage over other vmk players... which is very rude...

Because it's fun to dress up but I am sure no-one with a disability finds it fun.. It's just something they have to live with, why have to advertise it online as well? ;)

I would be afraid of getting run down by virtual wheelchairs. You know everyone would buy one to race with and go crazy on.

I dont get this. Why would you want VMK staff to stop fixing bugs, and making costumes and stuff, so people can have Virtual Wheelchairs? I would rather more hairdo's and more Furniture then a wheelchair. Anyways it would promote those sick 'doctor' rooms.

Anyone with physical disabitlies, has nothing to do with virtual disablities.
Thats just kinda pointless to me.
And maybe some ppl like that play VMK just to get away from that.

Let's see... If people buy or create a character with a virtual wheelchair, then go around begging, "I'm in a wheel chair! I a new worn bay be and hand cap. Give me free!" they probably figure, "Oh! Well, sometimes it works in real life, so why not in a virtual game?" People will fake disabilities just like they do in the real world.

There is a couple that stands by the highway every day, and they trade off medical devices. For example, she will have a neck brace Monday, he will have crutches Tuesday, she will have a wheelchair Wednesday, etc. They actually earn money doing this, though it can't be much.

But there is hope. If one were to buy the wheelchair, we could all think that they chose that, so there is no reason to feel sorry for them because of their decision. I'd hate to talk for people, but I believe that most handicapped people just want to fit in, and they don't want pity. So if one were truely handicapped, when they played VMK, if they choose to get a wheelchair, they would be the only ones with a VMK wheelchair that wouldn't beg.

I know I can at least speak for myself when I say I don't like to be pittied. Only the people who can achieve it without effort don't want it. Ironic.

well my friend is in a wheel chair the first time i met him, lets call him cheesey. ok so i knew cheesey for like a few months...and i neva realized he was in a wheel chair XD ROTFL!!!!!! i mean now that i noticed i didn't care cause well, its bad and good to be in 1, its bad cause you may have some disadvantegs, but good for you because now you still got a change to move instead of being stuck in a bed. so i found him to be like everyone else, he was one of my best friends in elementry. anyways since im goin to the same school that all the kids from my elementry did i am goin ta see most of my friends ^_^

i don't think we should have to be even thinking about adding wheelchairs to the game because
well, everyone in vmk can walk perfectly fine.

however, i guess having the option of a permanent wheelchair would be a good idea for those who are interested.

i am a nurse at a pediatric clinic. the patients i got into vmk like the idea they can escape their illness and handicaps, being able to do what they cant in real life. this would just be a cruel reminder and negates the reason they go on the site in the first place.

Why shouldn't we have wheelchairs? Because there are a lot of stairs in VMK, and it's not fun to fall down them.
