The black screen is back!

I had this for about the past half hour, but I just got in. Seems slow though, which is almost never the case for me.

UPDATE: Lost connection, and having trouble getting back in now. It appears the problem has not been fixed. VMK Weekend skeleton crew, where are you? :)

I know. I lost connection, and when I tried to come back in, the black screen stayed for a little less than I am used to, but it was there.

me too it is so annoying i can not get on and turned off my pop up blockers help me vmk know it alls (is that a word)! lol

first, there was black screen 1, then black screen 2: return of the crash, now a new ago of black screen! noe witness black screen 3: revenge of the dis connection. coming this 8/28/05

That's exactly what happened to me. That was my first attempt though, let's try the second attempt ;)

Same thing is happening to me.. I'm getting the connection pop-up as well.

two things are bothering me...
1)I can't get in because it says:
Connection Failed
Can not connect to the VMK server.
Check your firewall/internet security
settings.
did anyone else get this??
2)how do I take a screen shot pic of vmk? (ex. take a pic of my person like you guys have for a sig)

Most likely a server is down, slowness always happens when one of them are.

the firewall/internet settings one has happened to me before too, It's not actualy anything to do with either because it lets me on after a period of time without me changing any of mysettings etc so I'm guessing it's yet another bug that they will have to deal with. I've had that message appear today since about 8pm GMT.

i find it really weird because i was able to go on yesterday and now i cant!!
this is the order of wut it does:
1) log in
2) it loads
3) it updates
4) the screen goes black and i get this:
