Walt Disney World is planning a few changes in its daily parade at Magic Kingdom, including a new (but not very different) name, some new (borrowed) music and the elimination of the snow globes that were signature features on all the floats of the old "Share a Dream Come True" parade.

Some of the changes are being phased in. The full new look and sound -- under the name "Disney Dreams Come True" parade -- will be rolling through Frontierland, Liberty Square and Main Street U.S.A. by August 10, give or take a couple of days, said Disney spokesman Rick Sylvain.

He said the floats will get new embellishments to replace the snow globes. And a few characters will be added or changed.

Perhaps the biggest change will be the music. The parade will take on and adapt the music used for Tokyo Disneyland's daily parade, with the lyrics revised to English.

I hated them for the performers... the characters had no aircondtioning... and imagine how bad it is in a plastic bubble.. with bad air circulation. and on top of that, the sun shining in there making it hotter to dance and move around in... and the parade is slow, so they could be stuck like that for 30 - 45 minutes... unless bckstage they turn on the AC, which fogs the globe onstage... (dur to temperacture changes.. and condensation)

...and their reason behind changing the parade bewilders me.

The snowglobes were the parade's signatures. And besides that, "Disney Dreams Come True" just doesn't have the same ring to it as "Share A Dream Come True".

Aye yi yi, all these changes. Seems like nothing is staying original anymore...

Yay, they're changing it! I missed when Mickey and the characters would come off the float and dance... My parents would push me out, but it was worth it. I was so cute, I was probably about 3 or 5 or so :D (And ever since, Six Flags Great Adventure has stolen that idea, making me end up dancing with Porky pig last year in their new parade *ahem* "Celebration"... :PopcornSmilie: )

The AC could not be used in Florida weather... becuse the snowglobes would Fog up due to it being cold inside, and hot as hadies outside.... tyhey used AC as soon as the floats returned backstage.. and not a second sooner...

Yeah, the Pixar parade (Block Party Bash) at Disney's California Adventure is all about the stops!

i just got back from disney today and i did see the new prade there is only one snowglobe they took the snowgolbe part off and added stuff i will post pictures asap and i have alot of stuff for vmk but we will talk in the morning, the music for the parade was better than the last it had a great beat. we had the free disney dinning plan
