I got to meet Captain Sparrow today at Disneyland! Here's a picture:

Thats really cool. I saw him at WDW as well. People need to see that that is a tough job. Everyone thinks that the chartacter in the park is suppose to be the same from the movie..but REALLy it is the character in the park that is real and it was Mr. Depp who played him. ;)

He is a fun person to watch.Yeah, Depp did a great job getting this guy's mannerisms down just right. Captain Sparrow was a lot of fun to talk to, not like that stuck-up Mary Poppins I keep running into (and what's with that giant penguin who's always following her around?).

It's not Johnny Depp. It's Captain Jack Sparrow, the character played by Johnny Depp in the movies.

When I wet to Disneyland, I saw him too, but we did not have time to wait in that line @_@. So, my mom just got a picture of him kneeling down. Though I do not have a scanner, so I can't get it up =(.

I also saw him at one of his shows but sadly didnt get to meet him :( But he is a REALLY good actor, gets all of Jack's caracteristics and every thing. At WDW at the end of one of his shows he goes like " Look! It's the governor's daughter!" And when we look he runs away. Very funny :D

I just got back from the Disney Cruise and he was on Castaway Cay and the Boat (Wonder) and he (Captain Jack )was taking pictures in front on the Flying Dutchman, which is docked at Castaway Cay.

My mom is a Captain Jack fanatic!She loves him and she really wants to go on the ride in WDW,see the movie and meet Mr.Sparrow.

oh so they do have charaters dressed like him.... that answers my and my famlies questons...

DL Capn Jack is fairly new, and I asume WDW Jack would be too, so I think it's safe to say that Depp came first. He's in his...what....50s? ;)

The movie came first. The character at the theme parks and cruise is a new addition.

Depp is in his early 40s. He'd be awfully darned well-preserved if he was in his 50s! (Yes, I know you were joking.)

You are Lucky to get a picture with THE Captain Jack Sparrow.
When I went to DL, around the time of the POTC2 movie opening (7/7/06) everyone was in line so I couldn't wait that long. And my fastpasses to Indiana Jones was going to expire. >_<

And when I saw the movie in the AMC in Downtown Disney the line went though the door outside the theater and around this block, and lots of people were in the thetre all ready! (I saw it 7/8/06, and we got there at 6:20PM whenthe movie started at seven...guess everyone wanted the experience to see POTC2 @ DLR.) >_<

Yea! There was one time where Depp was at disneyland and he was in the ride acting like a robot thing! It was on disney 411... or what ever it is now.... and i was on that ride and i got to see him and tried to talk to him but he wouldnt budge! you could totally tell that it was him casue the robot things werent that great looking..... But I Got To See Him Close Up!!! OH MY GOSH!

and yes, i watched potc2:dmc on 7/12, and it was pretty crowded.

Someone I know did run into Johnny Depp in the Grand Californian when the Dead Man's Chest premiere was at DL; maybe it was in the lounge (I'm not sure). My friend was there with a friend of his, and they were talking about Pirates of the Caribbean, and the friend of my friend said something rude about the movie (I probably shouldn't post here what he said -- it wasn't nice but it wasn't obscene -- just an opinion that was sort of rude). Johnny spun around on his chair and said "What did you say?" The guy repeated it, then Johnny said "Why would you say that?" and they ended up having a long discussion that ended with the rude guy being really impressed with what a cool guy Depp is, and respecting him a lot even though he disagrees with him on some things.

I so wish I could have been there to see this.

Anyway i think it is actually pretty good considering you probably are not going to find the exact face of Johnny Depp. So yea i think i will give it a 9/10 it is a pretty good costume.

Of course, the White Witch they had at Disneyland looked almost exactly like the chracter in Narnia, even closer than Captain Sparrow looks like Johnny Depp! She had the attitude down exactly, too.
