Proracer1 08-12-2006, 11:38 AM They really need to bring 20,000 leagues uder the sea back to MK. levity 08-12-2006, 05:24 PM or adventures thru inner-space to DLR, that would be nice Chirpin 08-12-2006, 05:41 PM i was thinking i was thinking a ride like kind of like journey into the imagination with figment in fantasyland.going through what a little kid wants but also close to the end the imagination turns bad with ghosts and scary stuff levity 08-12-2006, 05:45 PM I'd love a figment ride in DLR!! Unfortunately i don't think thats ever going to happpen. :( Proracer1 08-12-2006, 05:57 PM or figment at WDW levity 08-12-2006, 06:00 PM they have one there...lol. I'd love a totoro ride, bc disney dvd came out with totoro, they should be allowed to have it as a ride :D Also, I think Downtown Disney should have a theater that plays all sorts of Disney movies, old ones and new ones :) Proracer1 08-12-2006, 06:01 PM what where is a figment ride ive been to each park more than three times and i haven't seen it levity 08-12-2006, 06:14 PM At epcot, journey into imagination with figment. Proracer1 08-12-2006, 06:19 PM i think they changed it to a movie oh well Jurassic park fan 08-12-2006, 08:33 PM Nope, It's encased in the glass pyramids. What I'd like to see is more rollercoasters. Or more movie themed rides at MGM. That park it T-I-N-Y. Ideas: Indiana Jones Some type of tour where you can see movie props in AIR CONDITIONING. Movie Magic Special effects ride. Rock 'N Rollercoaster starring Led Zeppelin ( Okay, Maybe not...) TOT V.6, More random drops, bigger drops, maybe a longer ride version. Chaelle 08-12-2006, 11:10 PM We should have a ride that explains how dreams are made in Epcot. It should be all about science. And the music should be like Horizons Atmospheric Loop by Horizon Pavilion (in Epcot) Oh an a new ride rule for Mission: Space, Everyone over 60 and under 13 years of age must ride the simulation. Well that's how the cookie crumbles  ~Chaelle Sdude 08-12-2006, 11:30 PM i have so many i have like carnival disney and stuff here are some Escape the V its like a big volcano and you like get chased by 'lava' (red colored gelatin) and you like do flips and stuff pirates of the carribean flips its like sea ray but it is the black pearl and does flips and spins (dizzy lol) i draw these then make them with a disney imagineer cd game since im going to be a disney imagineer Middiebear 08-12-2006, 11:38 PM Combine the story of "Finding Nemo...," With the ride elements and mechanics of Sea World Orlando's water ride "Journey to Atlantis...," Then stick it in Disney-MGM Studios... FantasyMickey 08-13-2006, 12:25 AM I think they need something completly new and different for a change. Chaelle 08-13-2006, 01:44 AM I think they need something completly new and different for a change. I agree and no more pixar stuff :D ~Chaelle Proracer1 08-13-2006, 04:53 PM They need a ride based on mickey with tons of special effects toontoony 08-13-2006, 07:25 PM is stend of expendtion everest, i thought of expendion table mountain and you have to find a key to unlook the gold to pay badys to stop them but its on table mountain. Proracer1 08-13-2006, 08:12 PM is stead of expendtion everest, i thors of expendion table mountain and you have to find a kye to onlook the gold to pay badys to spop but its on table mountain. Im sorry but what did that say futuremartymcfly 09-20-2006, 02:31 PM A new orignial ride? I like the idea of this thread... For me, it would have to be a roller coaster. Put it in Epcot, in the World Showcase, I think China, since that after all is where the tallest roller coaster in the world is located (well Hong Kong..). I know this isn't very original, but it would probably have to have some sort of dragon theme, perhaps as a nod to the once planned Magical Creatures section of Animal Kingdom. prisoner 09-20-2006, 05:40 PM I think of rides that offer real user control and interaction (as opposed to the fake interaction on Mission Space). Rides and stories that are different every time based on what decisions the people in the car make. (We had some of this in Horizons, but it was very limited.) I'm also kinda surprised that when they made Everest they didn't also make a companion dark ride. Something that the non-thrill-seekers would ride at the same time the thrill-seekers were on the coaster. Ah well - lost opportunity. futuremartymcfly 09-20-2006, 07:07 PM I think of rides that offer real user control and interaction (as opposed to the fake interaction on Mission Space). Your right, more real interactive rides like Buzz Lightyear, or perhaps even more interactive would be great. Right now the closest thing we have to that is Disney Quest, but I heard that was going to shut down. I wouldn't have expected a companion ride, not sure how many times Disney has done that before, if any. But I guess the non-thrill seekers are going to get alot more of there rides for quite some time now. prisoner 09-20-2006, 07:15 PM Your right, more real interactive rides like Buzz Lightyear, or perhaps even more interactive would be great. Right now the closest thing we have to that is Disney Quest, but I heard that was going to shut down. I had completely forgotten about Buzz, but thats a good example. I wouldn't want all of them to be that way, but there are a lot more opportunities for interaction that I think haven't been exploited yet. I really think multi-track rides would be pretty cool. I wouldn't have expected a companion ride, not sure how many times Disney has done that before, if any. But I guess the non-thrill seekers are going to get alot more of there rides for quite some time now. The only reason I would have "expected" it is that AK is way short on dark rides. Like... zero. A dark ride with the same theme would have been cheap(er) to build while they were doing the rest of the work. Dinosaur is a dark ride it is a ok ride. Disney is not all about cheap, they want to do things that they know their consumers would love. Now about the switch track idea that is really sweet idea. I remember they did that in horizons but to find a way to make it more interactive that that will be sweet. prisoner 09-20-2006, 10:33 PM Everest is a great ride and it is 1/2 dark ride 1/2 coaster in a way. Dinosaur is a dark ride it is a ok ride. Actually, it can be both a "dark ride" and a coaster. :) The early ideas for Space Mountain were based on Walt and his team pondering combining such a thing. Dinosaur is, for some strange reason, considered a thrill ride. In this case, however, when I said "dark ride" I meant a slow dark ride. Now about the switch track idea that is really sweet idea. I remember they did that in horizons but to find a way to make it more interactive that that will be sweet. Actually... they didn't. And it was interactive. :) Your car could vote on the "re-entry" scene, and depending how you voted a different movie was shown to your car. But it took the same physical track every time. I think of different physical tracks. :) But I think of a lot of strange things. Chirpin 09-20-2006, 11:09 PM I was thinking A tinkerbell ride. where would disney be with out tinkerbell. i was think it would be a dark ride like peter pan but you would lay down so it would seem like you were flying. and another thing Please be resonable with the rides. some people are making rides that have like 100ft drops and lots of loops and spins and i dont think thats what a disney imagineer is supposed to do. SkyWayStitch 09-23-2006, 06:14 AM Actually, if they would just build some of the things that were proposed, such as Beastly Kingdom in AK (sorry, Camp Minnie Mickey holds no fascination for me or even my kids; maybe if they had a kiddie ride or something there...), or stop removing things (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) to build a play area for the under 5 year old crowd, everything would be just fine! I know building Beastly Kingdowm would cost money, but who is really interested in 4 huts with characters as a "land"? Loading 20,000 Leagues was a tedious process at best, but they play area looks no better than the theming at the Disney Store in the local mall. They could have easily put a Little Mermaid or Meno attraction in this area, and kept some of the charm in Fantasyland, much of which was lost when the SkyWay was removed. For what they are charging for tickets these days, I believe they can and should do better. captainheath 10-08-2006, 05:31 AM id like to see something done with robin hood.. nikkiluvsmickey 10-08-2006, 06:27 AM the people movers at dlr was pretty cool even though i rode it when i was a baby avastpirateace 11-12-2006, 03:20 AM or figment at WDW they have a journey into imagination ride with figment at epcots imagination pavillion avastpirateace 11-12-2006, 03:21 AM Actually, if they would just build some of the things that were proposed, such as Beastly Kingdom in AK (sorry, Camp Minnie Mickey holds no fascination for me or even my kids; maybe if they had a kiddie ride or something there...), or stop removing things (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) to build a play area for the under 5 year old crowd, everything would be just fine! Tetsiga 11-13-2006, 04:33 PM how about changing Journey Into Your Imagination back to how it was, before Figment ruined it by changing EVERYTHING.. I can't stand Figment.. and I know the Sky Buckets will never come back, but that was awesome.. MGM really should put some stuff up, like you know where they used to have the neighborhood on the Backlot Tour, is that where Lights,Cameras,Motors is? or is it behind that giant painting of San Francisco?, well they need to put an Indiana Jones ride back behind that, because I believe thats where the Hunch Back play was at.. um, EPCOT, how about making EPCOT? anybdoy up for doing that? avastpirateace 11-18-2006, 08:00 PM how about changing Journey Into Your Imagination back to how it was, before Figment ruined it by changing EVERYTHING.. I AM SAYING THIS IN A NICE WAY. THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT WILL STEAL YOUR IDEA! I did an internship with Disney Imagineering in 1993 and 1994. It is very competitive, and people will do alot to get an edge. If you have a really good idea for an attraction. Build a small scale model of it, put the plans in writting, date it, and get a copyright on it, and then it belongs to you. You dont want to GIVE a million dollar idea to Disney or anyone else. There have been many court cases over stuff like that. You may want to delete some of the stuff in the post all ready! Please be careful, I have seen it happend to to many nice people. magickingdom_roxy 02-03-2007, 07:22 PM since every on is obsessed with hsm ( will i am anyways) i think they should make a rollercoaser of that ( like the rocking roller coaster ) :) Fairy 02-03-2007, 07:24 PM Kingdom Hearts Ride! Jk.. How a Bought A Tinkerbell Ride? Like they have a site for her.. And Books.. avastpirateace 02-14-2007, 02:24 AM I miss the Flying Saucers and the The Underwater Submarine.....:( :tink:jdrocks<3:tink: u wont be missing it to much longer. in mid june in DLR the Nemo submarine voyage opens. the new ride for MGM is to be called toy story mania. as of my ride i was working on it ultimately failed. but i have 15 new designs for a coaster, still thinking on a theme though. this time ill build each of them on RCT ( roller coaster tycoon ) so i can get teh top speed, g forces, and higghest drop hight, etc. then ill post a pic of my design that i made on paper camara 03-31-2007, 05:16 AM PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
