I see everyone complaining about the rides, so why don't we all come up with some new ideas that they can change existing rides into instead of Pixar rides.

They really need to bring 20,000 leagues uder the sea back to MK.

in fantasyland.going through what a little kid wants but also close to the end the imagination turns bad with ghosts and scary stuff

they have one there...lol. I'd love a totoro ride, bc disney dvd came out with totoro, they should be allowed to have it as a ride :D Also, I think Downtown Disney should have a theater that plays all sorts of Disney movies, old ones and new ones :)

Nope, It's encased in the glass pyramids. What I'd like to see is more rollercoasters. Or more movie themed rides at MGM. That park it T-I-N-Y.

Some type of tour where you can see movie props in AIR CONDITIONING.

Movie Magic Special effects ride.

Rock 'N Rollercoaster starring Led Zeppelin ( Okay, Maybe not...)

TOT V.6, More random drops, bigger drops, maybe a longer ride version.

We should have a ride that explains how dreams are made in Epcot. It should be all about science. And the music should be like Horizons Atmospheric Loop by Horizon Pavilion (in Epcot)
Oh an a new ride rule for Mission: Space, Everyone over 60 and under 13 years of age must ride the simulation. Well that's how the cookie crumbles :Tongue:

A new orignial ride? I like the idea of this thread...

For me, it would have to be a roller coaster. Put it in Epcot, in the World Showcase, I think China, since that after all is where the tallest roller coaster in the world is located (well Hong Kong..). I know this isn't very original, but it would probably have to have some sort of dragon theme, perhaps as a nod to the once planned Magical Creatures section of Animal Kingdom.

I think of rides that offer real user control and interaction (as opposed to the fake interaction on Mission Space). Rides and stories that are different every time based on what decisions the people in the car make. (We had some of this in Horizons, but it was very limited.)

I'm also kinda surprised that when they made Everest they didn't also make a companion dark ride. Something that the non-thrill-seekers would ride at the same time the thrill-seekers were on the coaster. Ah well - lost opportunity.

Actually, it can be both a "dark ride" and a coaster. :) The early ideas for Space Mountain were based on Walt and his team pondering combining such a thing.

Dinosaur is, for some strange reason, considered a thrill ride.

In this case, however, when I said "dark ride" I meant a slow dark ride.

Actually... they didn't. And it was interactive. :) Your car could vote on the "re-entry" scene, and depending how you voted a different movie was shown to your car. But it took the same physical track every time.

some people are making rides that have like 100ft drops and lots of loops and spins and i dont think thats what a disney imagineer is supposed to do.

Actually, if they would just build some of the things that were proposed, such as Beastly Kingdom in AK (sorry, Camp Minnie Mickey holds no fascination for me or even my kids; maybe if they had a kiddie ride or something there...), or stop removing things (20,000 Leagues Under the Sea) to build a play area for the under 5 year old crowd, everything would be just fine! I know building Beastly Kingdowm would cost money, but who is really interested in 4 huts with characters as a "land"? Loading 20,000 Leagues was a tedious process at best, but they play area looks no better than the theming at the Disney Store in the local mall. They could have easily put a Little Mermaid or Meno attraction in this area, and kept some of the charm in Fantasyland, much of which was lost when the SkyWay was removed. For what they are charging for tickets these days, I believe they can and should do better.

they removed the skyway bc of guest dropping things and spitting etc. but dont expect it to come back

i already told all if you in a thread a while ago that i plan on presenting a ride idea to disney this upcoming summer.

i have somewhat of an idea but id like to build a test model first out of knex to see if it would work. really dont know how to describe it.

they allready made EPCOT. and MGM is getting a name change to something new, but MGM is getting a new ride sometime soon where the who wants to be a millionare was, and there have been rumors that they will replace the indiana jones show with the ride from DLR or DCA dont know which park its at.

I did an internship with Disney Imagineering in 1993 and 1994.

It is very competitive, and people will do alot to get an edge.

If you have a really good idea for an attraction. Build a small scale model of it, put the plans in writting, date it, and get a copyright on it, and then it belongs to you.

You dont want to GIVE a million dollar idea to Disney or anyone else.

There have been many court cases over stuff like that.

You may want to delete some of the stuff in the post all ready!

Please be careful, I have seen it happend to to many nice people.

since every on is obsessed with hsm ( will i am anyways) i think they should make a rollercoaser of that ( like the rocking roller coaster ) :)

u wont be missing it to much longer. in mid june in DLR the Nemo submarine voyage opens. the new ride for MGM is to be called toy story mania. as of my ride i was working on it ultimately failed. but i have 15 new designs for a coaster, still thinking on a theme though. this time ill build each of them on RCT ( roller coaster tycoon ) so i can get teh top speed, g forces, and higghest drop hight, etc. then ill post a pic of my design that i made on paper

that's why i haven't exactly shared my ideas. Everything you said is true...I can do all of that but get a copyright on it. How's a teen going to get his stuff copyrighted before presenting it?
