Since I could possibly be going to WDW NEXT Christmas, not this one, I just want to know who all might be going next christmas also. (Sorry if this is in the wrong thread or if anything else is wrong with it)

OK first VMK is free to use and fun! I am an adult and after I played for several days to confirm the safety of the environment, I let my 2 sons play.
I like VMK, but the environment is so close to Orwell's 1984 is it scarry.

First off we have to use VMK NewSpeak. They control what words you can say, and therefore limit the types of conversations. This is good to a point, but could you imagine going to WDW, or DL and having to limit your language to a limited approved vocabulary! There must be a better way to protect the kids who are on VMK.

Secondly Big Brother truely is watching. If you are a community leader and you have a minor slipup (based on changing rules) you can lose priviledges. Furthermore if someone complains about a CL the leader will probably lose status, in the absense of proof of being innocent.

Granted we don't live in the VMK world like the characters in George Orwell's book, and participation is entirely optional, but the comparisons are weird.

Some sociology class should study this evironment for a class project.

Please don't take this as a slam, but only as an observation. I like playing, I like having bad trades where I give away far more than I gain. I like playing Pirates with my sons and their friends. VMK is really cool and I will continue to play and recommend it to others. It just is an interesting study.

Well, I might be able to go, but I doubt it because my father works for Disney so he can get in the park for free, but sometimes there is black-out days where he can't get in. So, yeah plus it's usually crowded during Christmas time.
