I have a question. If a thread is stickied, what does that mean?

I believe it means that the thread is 'stuck' to the top of the page and it will never die. So stickies are threads that will be there forever.

the important messages with the blue thumbtack next to them, so that they never move off the front page, and all view then first, as to either get infomration about the forum, or commonly asked issues, before asking them again.
