View Full Version : DisneyQuest!
Neoteny 07-18-2006, 06:26 PM What's your favorite attraction at DisneyQuest?
I love Ride the Comix (the swordfighting game). It's so funny to watch from the outside, with people wildly swinging their arms around in the air, and it's a great game to play, too. (I got high score last time I played. :) )
CyberSpace Mountain (the build your own rollercoaster attraction) is great, too! The more loops, the better!
bluedudeman 07-18-2006, 06:30 PM ride the comix is good. .so is cyperspace that probably is my favorite.
i remember the first time we played we couldn't figure out how to work the astroblasters we were shooting nothing and then looked behind us when the ride was done and saw the things we needed to shoot with lol.
Neoteny 07-18-2006, 06:32 PM That Astroblasters game can be painful! We just kept getting pummeled!
DizCaptain 07-18-2006, 06:32 PM I like almost everything in Disney QUest. I extremely like a threee way tie for first is Jungle Cruise RIver thing, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Shooting game where you must rescue the astronauts.
Gamma_Ray_Scientist 07-18-2006, 06:33 PM I like that paddle game POTC game and Invasion
Neoteny 07-18-2006, 06:34 PM The Jungle Cruise game hurts my arms!
Pirates of the Caribbean is great, but you have to have a captain who knows what he or she is doing.
I only tried the Invasion! game (the astronaut rescue one) once, and I got paired with a little girl who couldn't figure out how to drive the thing, so we didn't do very well.
bluedudeman 07-18-2006, 06:35 PM i almost fell out of the boat on the paddle thing LOL i fell from the front to the back :)
Neoteny 07-18-2006, 06:37 PM I like Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride, because it can be different every time you play. Of course, most of the games there are like that.

Eviie 07-18-2006, 06:42 PM Deff. Cyberspace mountain my brother made a category 5 which is hard to make because sometimes when your making it you think its beyong 5 when it ends up being a 2! So my brother made a 5 and in the video my hair was flying the whole time because he did like 50000000000 loops! LOL
bluedudeman 07-18-2006, 06:44 PM i did all loops once, it was only a 4 :(
Neoteny 07-18-2006, 06:47 PM I've done a category five coaster. It was great!
bluedudeman 07-18-2006, 06:51 PM so...anyone do the treasure of inca's game i loved that.
Neoteny 07-18-2006, 06:52 PM so...anyone do the treasure of inca's game i loved that.I don't think I was there when that existed. What was it?
bluedudeman 07-18-2006, 06:54 PM there is like a glass floor, and it was like a maze and someone was at controls and they had a camara on a car in the glass and you had to move it to find the treasure and if you had two people in your party then one person could drive it and another could tell them where to drive it, it was very fun but they took it down for that weird thing.

What "weird thing" replaced it?
bluedudeman 07-18-2006, 07:16 PM idk what it is called but u catch weird kangaroo things and ostriches LOL
Adventurebry 07-18-2006, 07:16 PM My favorites:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Alladin
Cyberspace mountain
(not really a ride but) The animation academy. I made pluto there!
The pirates of the carribiean is probably the best. It is amazing!

Yeah. Ride the Comix was AWESOME. My dad always used to tell me "If the ship like thing just fell, the people wouldn't even notice." So funny. Such a great ride though.
I REALLY like CyberSpace Mountain as well. It's DEFINATELY a teenager/adults ride though, as the restraints barely fit smaller children.

-looks around- Really? When I did it they fit fine. and you may say that I am a "smaller child". Not to mention that I am very small for my age..
PezDude 07-21-2006, 01:49 AM What is this cyberspace disney???
Neoteny 07-21-2006, 01:51 AM What is this cyberspace disney???CyberSpace Mountain is an attraction at DisneyQuest in Walt Disney World. Basically, you design your own rollercoaster on a computer, adding loops, twists, hills, turns, and even jumps, and then you enter a simulator cabin and get to experience the ride you created. It's very cool.
PezDude 07-21-2006, 01:57 AM where is disneyquest located???
Thenishall 07-21-2006, 01:58 AM CyberSpace Mountain was by far the best, I always had about 7 or 8 loops, I like them. He he.
Jimothy 07-21-2006, 02:02 AM Cyber Spacemountain, Battle For Buccaneer Gold, Aladdin's Carpet Ride!
Neoteny 07-21-2006, 02:04 AM where is disneyquest located???DisneyQuest is in Downtown Disney West Side at Walt Disney World in Florida.
CrAzyEm 07-21-2006, 01:28 PM the aladian one was awesome. personal favorite. and i likes the buzz lightyear one astroblasters i think it's called it took me forever to learn how to control it and everything though. lol.
Jurassic park fan 07-21-2006, 04:37 PM Cyberspace Mountain all the way. Loops....I heard they were closing DisneyQuest for another ESPN Sportszone -.- is this true?
Neoteny 07-21-2006, 04:41 PM Cyberspace Mountain all the way. Loops....I heard they were closing DisneyQuest for another ESPN Sportszone -.- is this true?I hope not! I wish they would open another DisneyQuest at DLR in California.... DisneyQuest rocks!
FantasyBlueBoy 07-21-2006, 04:42 PM POTC is my favorite. I went on in my own once aww man I had to use my foot!
Neoteny 07-21-2006, 04:47 PM POTC is my favorite. I went on in my own once aww man I had to use my foot!Wow. There's no way I'd be able to play that game alone. Too many controls! You need at least two people, preferably three or four!
My favorites are the Mighty Duck Pinball Slam (in which I got first place and possibly a high score, I forget), Cyberspace Mountain, Jungle Cruise, and Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. But I also love all of those retro games! I could play them for hours...
Alas, Disneyquest won't be here much longer. Have you guys noticed that the gift shop is selling less and less Disneyquest stuff and more and more bland general Disney stuff? It's leaving I beileve either December of this year or next year, I'll have to check my sources. It's being gutted for ESPN Zone. (Great, a new restaurant... that we already have on the boardwalk...)

CarribbeanLady 07-21-2006, 10:37 PM Its not really a ride but I really liked the drawing area.I came away with a pretty good looking Minnie Mouse.:minniemo:

-skippyskippyThat's a shame. I guess DisneyQuest wasn't making enough money for them. It was always crowded whenever I was there, but I guess that wasn't enough for them. It probably also means they won't be setting up a DisneyQuest in California. Oh well.
Disney actually had a big plan for a chain of "DisneyQuests" across the United States. Only one of the (I believe) 30 centers were actually built, in Chicago. And even then, it was smaller than planned. It just didn't catch on... didn't make much money.
Shame, shame. :(

futuremartymcfly 07-21-2006, 10:48 PM wow, I can't believe there closing disney quest, that had always been a tradition for my family to go to DQ at the end of each trip...
TripleM 07-21-2006, 10:54 PM tie between:
Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam
Cyberspace Mountain (tell Bill Nye i said hi)
and Buzz Lightyear's Astroblasters
Alienboy 07-21-2006, 10:57 PM that blows that its being shut down, i really hope they dont, the whole place was fun and one of my favorite things is the animator desk where you draw the different character and elevator ride, i know it not really a ride or game but it was pretty neat also the buzz lightyear blaster ride. AND how could i leave out the pirates of the caribbean ship ride. Thats always fun
Maybe if we're lucky some of the DisneyQuest attractions will get homes in Epcot. I believe the Aladdin's Magic Carpet game actually originated at Innoventions.

CrAzyEm 07-26-2006, 09:15 PM I heard disney quest was closing before. hopefully if it has to close it closes in december of 2007. im going to disnye in april and would really love to just go one last time. MAYBE they will make one in DLR that would be awesome. then it wouldn't be completly lost. btw. why do they need another resturaunt in downtown disney? i mean there are tons in pleasure island(even though they aren't for kids) and almost right across from disney quest there's the House of Blues(i love it in there totally awesome).
