I'm thinking about making a trip to the Magic Kingdom for a day or two. How long are the lines for the rides?

That all depends on the ride you want to go on.


I myself have never been to Disney World, but being a Disneyland goer with an avid memory, I can help you out. :)

I would suggest getting there early in the morning, before the park opens. That way, you can wait for it to open and be one of the first (so to speak) in the park. Then, it depends on what you want to ride most without having the line.

You Cannot avoid lines in Disney World. It's impossible. So if you want to ride Pirates of the Caribbean without much wait, go to Adventureland. The Haunted Mansion, go to Liberty Square. Fantasyland rides, go to Fantasyland, and so on.

Lines can take anywhere from up to a minute to over an hour, depending on the popularity and how fast it takes to load the ride.

Be sure to use your FastPasses wisely to minimize your wait times!

if your going to disneyword...wait til mid august there are like noo lines because school is starting soon i went then and waited 10 minutes to get on tower of terror

Last time I went on space mountain I had a fast pass while I was walking through it looked like 35 minute line wait. Thrill Rides seem popular at night

One time I got on Splash mountain in two minutes with my fast pass... But the normal line was 1 hour and 30 min! :eek:

During the summer it's much trouble depending on what you want to go on... Even the line for Dumbo is extremely long o_O... If you go during a school day.... oh my goodness, it'll be empty @_@... but during summer use those fastpasses alright @_@...

Now as in the summertime? HORRIBLE. Just use fastpasses,and you'll be all set.

The Dumbo line is always long, and there's no FastPass. Forget about that one until after Thanksgiving.

Wait till Winter! Winter @ Disney always rocks!

July-August is really bad. Space Mountain can be up to 80 minutes. Splash Mountain, about an hour. Big Thunder Mountain is about 40 minutes. If you even want a chance to go on Soarin' I recommend you go extremely early to get a fastpass, then wait in the line. The line can get to over an hour and a half...

winter it's packed too. i went two years ago one week before spring break and there where no lines. What ever you do, don't go between mid. nov. and early jan.

The least crowded time to go is the week after Labor Day until Thanksgiving. I went during this time and most of the major attractions had a 30 minute wait or less.

In my area of Florida we start school on the 8th.

I don't know about Walt Disney World, but the best time to go to Disneyland is on a school day between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break. First Monday in December always works for me.

It depends on your county. In our county, school starts August 8th. Also, I just got back from a trip to the Magic Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon. We got there around 10:00am and headed straight for the Pirates of the Caribbean and it was about a 30 min wait. No fast pass. There is always a long line for Dumbo and Peter Pan! You can get a fast pass for Peter Pan. Most of the other rides were about 30 minutes as well.That's what they said anyway. It seemed longer. You can only have one fast pass at a time so you really have to make a plan. If you like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain, it is best to go to one of those first and just wait in line because it doesn't get any better later in the day. A good time to go on the rides is during the parade in the afternoon or at dinner time. We were lucky and didn't get one of the usual afternoon thunderstorms. This time of year is so hot and humid. My favorite time to go is in October. Typhoon Lagoon was packed. Fun, but very crowded.

I say you wait until like right after thanksgiving because everybody has to go to work and school so between end of thanksgiving and beginning of christmas. thats when I go every year and I go once in august because everybody is getting ready for school.

Yes, that line is LONG!! I was little when I went, and I wanted to go on it, so we waited like, maybe an hour...:eek:
